Do u think if someone bought the Chinese Oneplus 2 they would be able to unlock band 20 800mhz or not
Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using XDA Free mobile app

- is 4G/LTE possible to get on both sim or it's sim one 4G and the other sim 2G only? I have s5 dual sim and I can have LTE on both sims ( not at the same time, I have to switch it in settings, so both sim 1 and 2 have capacity to get 4g)
- is call recording possible please? Can someone test ACR by NLL from Google Play, or Call Recorder by Clever Mobile

It probably wouldn't be the smartest idea in the world, no. Why would you need a toolkit anyway? They're nothing but trouble, cause problems, and prevent you from learning anything. These devices are super easy to work with anyway, take the time to do things manually, it's pretty easy if you follow a good guide.

I get that using a command prompt is super easy and I'm not a stranger to using windows commands either (i know just enough about computers to get me in trouble haha) but for some reason I can't get the drivers installed properly. It's a very odd situation. After installing I'll run the command prompt in the folder where the drivers are located plug in my phone and type the command "adb devices" as well as "fastboot devices" and I get nothing everytime. Oddly enough when I use a toolkit I am able to root and unlock my device (my original Oneplus One) as well as flash a custom recovery. I know I'm doing something wrong, I just can't figure out what it is. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers but no luck. Any help with this situation would be appreciated as my new Oneplus 2 is arriving soon with the Chinese ROM and I definitely don't want to have to use it until a new toolkit comes out.

I had all the adb and fastboot drivers installed properly, but it didn't seem to connect through ADB until I ran the driver exe file that shows up as drive F: every time I connect my OP2. After that, everything went fine.

It works just like any other 4G supported dual sim nothing fancy. So you can't simultaneously get 4G but it's possible to get 4G on both the Sims but not at the same time like your S5 dual.
And as for call recording, I'll let you know when i try it on my friend's device. I forgot to ask him that when I net him the last time.

Yes you should still be able to take updates, just by using the automatic update feature.

Well, I found it VERY interesting : it is cool and attractive and COOL!
As I found, Paranoid Android is based on CM9. And Galaxy Ace has a port of Paranoid Android working. So I think it is possible to port this for our Legend, isn't it?
I'm trying the port ( for now just for me. I'll ask permissions and give credits before releasing anything... If I'll ever release anything... ) . I found a "guide" ( it is not so clear, or at least, not so for me ) here, and I yet can't understand where I have to change the framework...
If anyone can help me, I would be very glad. Thanks.
good luck
paranoid Android is one of my favorite roms of all time

I've seen this ROM in my adventures into other forums. The only thing I worry about is the screen size of our dear Legend. If you need help though, I'll be more than happy to lend a hand.

Screen size shoudn't be a problem. galaxy Ace isn't bigger and has it on. We could just not use tablet mode in everything but only in some apps.
Actually, I really need help I'm new in Android development and I don't think that I can do this just on myself. I posted here for help I'm trying to understand what we have to do, if you can read the Topic and understand what we have to do, it would really help I'm also trying, but I discovered right now that my time is little in next few days, and I'm not sure to have understood rightly what we have to do
I found something like a "Paranoid Builder" here, but I don't know how to use it...
Still, we need zeubea's approvation to use his ROM as base.
I'm happy to help then I'm looking through the stuff you've linked now. I think I have a very basic understanding of how that Paranoid Builder would work, but not enough to try it. For now though, I'm just going to try out this porting guide and report back with results. Also, do you think you/we should open a thread in the Development section for this?

Really thanks for your help! It is more "We" than "Me" I've tried that guide right now, but I can't recompile the framework-res.apk. I'll try to solve the problem.
For the Post in dev section, Moderators always closes "Coming Soon" threads, so I think that we shouldn't until we've got hands on something.
We could even found a Team, it sounds more professional

I think the one I'm using is the lastest version of apktool. I downloaded it his morning.
Ah, WildfireS has an Alpha0 of this ROM. So it looks even more possible for Legend!

Not yet, I've been away from my PC all morning and afternoon. I'll try not comparing/syncing files with ViceVersa, because the problem looks to be some bad path. I'll tell you.
Yea, I haven't seen a MOD for a while. I think we should open a thread just when we have something made, even not-bootable, but something.

Yay, right that. As said before, I'm looking for any problem in ViceVersa, I don't think apktool has any problem.
Well, I'd like you to magically create this ROM But it obviously isn't so easy.
Still, this isn't just my project, if you want to help, you are part of this, and you don't have to report to me If this PORT will succeed, it won't be MY rom, it will be OUR rom : mine, yours and of everyone that wants to help
Turns out I'm having errors recompiling framework-res.apk as well

Maybe the problem is donor rom's framework-res. I'll try to decompile it with other options.
Ok I'm back home. I'll try something else tomorrow.
I discovered that the recompiling problem is not in any of the 2 framework-res, or in other programs. Looks like Apktool if not well configured ( I'm searching what "well configured means" ) can't recompile. Maybe the problem is in java, not up to date, maybe in Android SDK, or in framework installed in APKTool. If anyone can offer more detailed informations, it would be very appreciated. If none can, I'll have to google a lot.
I think I've seen an apktool modified for ICS around, seeing as the proper one hasn't been updated in months. Can't find the link for it at the moment.
Edit: This looks promising.

WONDERFUL! Thanks a lot! I tried with something fast ( I customized emoticons in my Keyboard ) and I've been able to recompile the apk following the steps!
I'm going to continue with the porting guide, thanks a lot!
Edit: I'm having a lot of troubles with recompiled keyboard ( it is half size, just 5.5mb instead of 12mb from the original, but I just changed some smilies ), so I'll test this method a little bit more before editing framework-res... I just want to be sure, this will be a ROM, not an app...

If the option is available Try changing the compression level to 0 then the file size should be ok.

I'm an idiot.
My mom always said me to read everything, until the end. And I just did not this time...
There are more instructions to follow. I did what they said and I recompiled correctly my keyboard. Now I can continue this project.
Thanks ranger, the problem was related to compression somehow, so you helped
I DID IT!
Bootable Paranoid Android!
I don't know what's working and what's not, I don't have the time right now to check. I just saw the tablet view in settings!
I think this Topic can be closed or anything else. I'm going to fix the burocratic manners ( rights to Zeubea, rights to Paranoid Android and so on... )
If I'll get all the permissions, you'll see soon a Topic in Dev section.
Thanks everyone!!!

Wow great job dude! Looking forward to seeing it in the dev section. If you need a tester, I'm available
I actually have a problem : I'm leaving very soon ( 3 days ) and my PC won't follow me. If I don't have replies for rights before I leave, I obviously won't post the ROM. But I will be away for 1 month, so I was thinking to give the ROM to you (smithchipz) or someone else who wants to help to keep it testing. If I leave, I will go back to a stable ROM, because I can't risk crashes while, by example, climbing.
So at least someone else than me will see this ROM soon
I'll keep you informed, many thanks to everyone wo helped

1.Unlocking your Bootloader
Credits : matmutant
Files : Adb&Fastboot.zip
Motorola gives u the option to unlock the Bootloader on itz website. No need of any hardships. Just go to Unlocking Bootloader to do it. (They say it voids the warranty of the phone am not sure about that). You can also relock your bootloader later.
To boot into bootloader first power down your phone and then click the VOL DOWN + POWER button for 5-7 seconds. In the Bootloader the VOL DOWN button is to move around and VOL UP is to enter the selected menu. The POWER button is to exit the Bootloader.

2.Flashing Custom Recovery (CWM/TWRP/PHILZ)
Our device has 3 types of recovery. It is upto you to decide whichever you want. But ultimately all recoveries are for the same purpose and flashing method is same except that the file changes. So decide your recovery mode headover to these thread and download the latest versions:
1.CWM Recovery
2.CWM Advanced Recovery(PHILZ)
3.TWRP Recovery
The last two are touch based whereas the first is non-touch-based. Download the latest recovery of your choice, rename it to "recovery.img" and copy it to the adb&fastboot folder. Boot the device into Bootloader and now type this:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Thatz it go into recovery and u will notice the change!!

3.Rooting (JB/KK)
Credits : Cooptx
Files : Superuser.Zip
Make sure you have a custom recovery before doing this. Download and copy the files to the root of your SD card. Boot into Bootloader. Now navigate and select Recovery. Now select "Install Zip from SD card". Select the zip and wait. After Install gets completed, select "Reboot system now" and when it asks for a fixing the root, select "yes". You will now be able to see the SuperSu app when your Moto G boots.

Actually there are a lot of logos but this is the one i like and the proceedure will be the same for all logos though just the files differ. Just head over to the Remove Unlocked Bootloader Warning download the attachment unzip it and copy it to the fastboot folder. Now boot into Bootloader and type this:
Code:
fastboot flash logo logo.bin

Thanks again
bro that is an issue with stock rom and as of now there is no fix for it.
Thanks so much; just got this phone yesterday, and I'm sure I'll be getting lots of use from this thread!
23/4/2014
Thread Updated!
If anything new comes up and i fail to notice please comment here or PM me!
Thank you very much. This is what I need.
I need clarification for point #6 in the first post.
Is there anyone (people not living in EU) who's successfully getting free repair under warranty after relocking the bootloader? I'd like to stress this exact words once again: "people not living in EU"
Can we even fool Motorola that the phone was never hacked? The bootloader status will be labeled as 2 (relock after unlock), instead of 1 (locked). 3 means unlocked IIRC.
Is Motorola that stupid? I don't think so.
Please clarify that point again by giving some proofs.
that is really a valid point bro but i dont think they may validate it for software defects but for hardware related defects they will replace..yes u were right abt the status code! will update abt it if i know! thanks for the info!!

The OP author @yeshwanthvshenoy could ask the respective Stickied OP authors to add some info if he feels its incomplete. Thus, creating less confusion for the noob, 1st time users and other users. Thus, making their early experience at XDA a smooth one and every one has crystal clear picture in their mind regarding all necessary information. It will further encourage them to use their device with different flavours (AOSPA, CM, Carbon...) or Xposed apps and their special features.

Well mate, we don't have any personal issues with you and if that's the case (referring to your above post) I don't have any problem with this thread if u adhere to the following 3 important points.
You will keep the index of all the DUAL SIM stuffs if they actually work on those variants and all the necessary changes to be made to the device for flashing them. Thus, making it noob friendly. So, maybe testing by you or your trustworthy source will be referred.
You will keep unique info and no redundant data. And, if the case is such that the particular data is quite necessary for the thread. Then, copy it with the permission of the thread author and give proper credits.
And, post link to the topics which are already in sticky threads if the information is worth reading for the users coming to your thread.
So, If you adhere to the above points I won't have a single issue with your thread. Lets wait for @Mr hOaX's response.

I agree with @Chirag_Galani
I have linked your thread to index thread so that users can easily get redirected here if they wants to have some guide on dual sim version of Moto G
Previously when I visited your thread, there were only guides, not much
When I revisited, I found some redundant information present here
You can continue with this contribution work
If you want users should get other links, you can redirect them to index thread so that there is no duplication and confusion

When I type the command "adb devices" it says " attached. but type the next line it says " not recognize.
How do I fix this problem. Please help!

[Bounty] [email protected]

Not looking for any fancy one click all. Just a method to obtain uid 0. I can handle adb, I have a functioning toolchain and a sys admin level knowledge of Linux. Unfortunately I haven't had any success yet getting root.
My laziness and frustration has won over my cheapness. To that effect I would like to offer a 0.3 BTC bounty for a method to obtain root on this swanky device.
Update: Bounty paid. Received functioning method. Unfortunately I've been asked to not release it which I am happy to comply. Thanks!
jcase already rooted his. But I don't think he's shared it publicly yet.

I'll believe it when I see it. The kallsyms dump is pretty convincing but isn't absolute proof. I'll continue beating my firetv up in the meantime I guess. If i root mine first, I'll send myself the BTC.
On that note any one know why adb shell has an LD_PRELOAD library called libnimswrap.. looks like it touches a few interesting calls.
Root and recovery would be good. I got like 28 days left before I can return my FireTV. Hopefully this will be done before then.
If someone have a spare device to donate (France) I'm willing to spent some time on it. I did a few cool things on the fire hdx 7" and could probably do some on this device. I think this device could be great if we get a stock ROM running !

That is of no use to me or others who are looking/needing a priv esclation method for this device until its released. In the meantime I will continue down my path. If I get it before he releases I plan to do full disclosure. Hope I don't burn his exploits.

Personally I don't care if anyone believes me or not, any looking back at the history of Android exploits will likely see my work more often than not, especially with the Amazon FireOS. When appropriate, I will release.
Bonus tease for everyone else, modified recovery booting (just edited /res/ images to test booting unsigned code)

Why not join me in the process, instead of racing against? I'm looking to find less valuable bugs to use, instead of the more dangerous ones I am currently using. Feel free to ping me on freenode or gtalk.
Full disclosure, is something I do often, I believe I have accounted for the majority of open source android exploits. I really appreciate it when ppl explain what they are doing, love seeing the work of others, and love not having to reverse it.

Current issues with releasing my work right now:
1) No way to interact with a custom recovery (possibly doable with keyboard) and no way to load files to flash without booting into android (possible to mount usb disk in recovery mode?).
2) Looking for a bug to exploit that is less abusable by others
#1 Someone more versed at recoveries is lookign at
#2 I'm working on currently.

It's overriding the following symbols:
bind
connect
getaddrinfo
so tampering with network somehow.. if no one knows what it does I'll spend some time reading the disasm and figure out.. first guess is intercepting connections to some address, possibly redirecting elsewhere?

ok.. yeah, short version it looks like it is blocking some network connections. For example, the overridden connect() seems to open up a (I think local) socket connection (cached per thread), does some communication on that socket, then based on result fakes an error result (setting errno) or forwards the call to the real connect.
seems to be controlled by:
Code:
v0 = isFeatureEnabled(1);
v1 = isFeatureEnabled(3);
v2 = isFeatureEnabled(4);
not sure what those feature constants correspond to.. googling for isFeatureEnabled() just digs up some java crap..

GUIDE for HTC ONE M8 | How to delete system apps if you are S-ON

First thing is first.
You must have an unlocked bootloader and a rooted device.
If you are S-ON and you don't like bloatware you must do it from RECOVERY [custom recovery of course]
Boot your device into recovery mode [TWRP]
Click on : Mount / Check the square where it says System [so mount system]
Click back
Click Advanced / then click File Manager
Scroll until you see : system
Click on system / then click app
Now, from there you delete all the apps you want, including the odex files.
After you deleted the apps you want click on (Up A Level)
Then scroll to priv-app
From there delete also all the apps you can find and want to delete and you didn't find in system/app
After you did that click again on (Up A Level) and again on (Up A Level)
There click on data / app [click data, and then click app]
There you will find the apps you deleted and their updates, so delete those too.
After you done all that you can reboot the device. Unless you do all these steps the apps you delete will show up again in your app drawer, so do this and the apps will stay deleted.
Enjoy the free space on your device.
Or just delete them inside the OS with es file explorer and soft reboot the phone.

You probably still have HTC's write protection on whatever rom u are using, maybe that's why Mr Hof's method isnt working for you. I use Root explorer to do the same as Mr Hof's does and it works 100%.
In the long run its better to maybe fork out a small amount of cash and go s off so lenghty and convoluted processes such as this can be avoided

The only thing I have is S-ON. That's it. Write protection is off, trust me, my apps can read/write the external sdcard, or anything else in the device for that matter.

Lots of people used system app remover, even the pro version, and after reboot the apps were back in the app drawer.
So there is no trouble deleting them via TWRP.

Hey guys
I hope you enjoy our service. Use it as you would any other search engine. Often times it works best if you search for model number (i.e. SM-A800IZ), rather than device name. Also, here are some advanced search tips to get you started:
+"galaxy s7" usa
Display all firmwares for the Galaxy S7 and put those with region USA in the top
+"sm-t805" -germany
Display all firmwares for the Galaxy Tab S except those from Germany
+marshmallow +switzerland
Display all Marshmallow firmwares from Switzerland
Let us know what you think.
PS: The site is not yet responsive in design (we're working on it)
I do not know why there is show nothing when I search SM-G9300
with safari or firefox browser, i hit download button from selected firmware, only try to load the next site but nothing happened..

It's SM-G930F. But I agree, an autocomplete function would be great.
Hey guys! The site looks good but I think that a good thing to add would be "fluid" tables (and structures) because now they don't fit in the phone screen and its impossible to read all the columns of the firmware table. By adding that you're site will be accesible for every phone and not only pc's.

At the moment, the search requires that you enter the full model number, and if a letter or a number is missing, results can be very different. But I love the idea and we'll definitely look into ways to make our search engine smarter

We're actually working on the responsive design as well, so that it looks well on mobile devices. Although that might take a few weeks. On the bright side, we'll be releasing our app in the next few days and it's looking great, we're certainly aiming to make mobile experience very pleasant.
Nice website...
Interesting project ... and now here's some constructive criticism, obviously meant in good faith for possible improvements.
Pertains to the website, since I haven't tried the Android app yet.
1. Sometimes downloading seems to be slow / down / overloaded servers, not sure what's the actual cause, but tried it with and without a download manager using Chrome.
2. Firmware availability limitation in SamFirm / Samsung Server seems to be also present here (ex. SM-G930A / G935A unavailable). Suppose not much can be done about it since Samsung is simply not serving it up.
3. Would be helpful to have each file designated as HOME or FACTORY depending on the type of firmware package. Factory version is much more preferred/useful.
Overall a great looking, and informative website.
'tsit for now,

Thanks, your feedback is very graceful
1. Yup, we're fixing this right now. Can you try again actually? How is it running now?
2. Unfortunately at the moment, not much we can do...since Samsung themselves doesn't even have it.
3. I'll let @zxz0O0 answer this one...

The factory version includes the PIT file and wipes the user data. We are downloading the home version from Samsung, which is a simply update without wipe. For the latest devices, Samsung merged the home and factory version. You can recognize those firmwares, because the file ends with "_fac.zip". Inside the zip you can then choose to flash the home or factory csc.
Why do you think the factory version is preferred?
Please Add
SM-R360 (Gear Fit 2)
SM-R732 (Gear S2 Classic)
Thanks!

Unfortunately we do not currently support these 2 particular smart watches. The usual way of downloading firmwares for them does not seem to work.
nice site and great support for the S5, even has new zealand firmwares, i cant really download firmwares from samfirmware as its just too slow but your site is great
EDIT: just a suggestion but a desktop app would be brilliant with the ability to detect your phone in a similar manner that kies does and give a list of firmwares for that region, and possibly the option of downloading firmwares for other regions

Hi Toby,
Thanks bud! Glad to hear! We're continuing to improve the platform with each day. A desktop app is something to think about, but our focus right now is to polish up the site. Let me know if you got any other suggestions and/or questions.
Outstanding thanks

Happy to hear! Here if you need anything.
[QUOTE="peterjitg, post: 67715129, member: 7435428"]Happy to hear! Here if you need anything.[/QUOTE] You Rock! Only wish I'd found this before a few weeks ago before I spent ### on SM (no offense to them, only expensive - rather throw U the ### instead) Sorry ahead of time as I whipped through this thread = my only unasked opinion would be to add the 3 digit country code to the description as many look the same..
can't remember how to add images (dropbox doesn't work) so I'll just list my latest...
- G935FXXU1APF2_G935FOJV1APF1_LYS
- G935FXXU1APF2_G935FOJV1APF1_XFE
- G935FXXU1APF2_G935FOJV1APF1_XSG
All have the same firmware/etc but different CSC/etc - wouldn't it be helpful to include this info during current postings? Just a thought...
Also have various images/firmware of others but still difficult to post these as the baseband/CSC/etc are different for everybody... Perhaps we can try to coordinate this to help ALL of us? Again, I may be just a dumbass also..
