Change Onscreen Button "Home" to Screen Off - One (M9+) General

I'm asking myself if it is possible to change the home onscreen button to screen off button because I always use the fingerprint reader as home button so I don't need the home onscreen.
Maybe there is a way to change it with root and my root explorer.
Any ideas how it could work?

mapping buttons with PQzII

So I'm trying to use PQzII to turn the Windows button into Ctrl/Alt. But when I set it up, it changes the Windows button on the keyboard, and the one on the front, and the OK button on the side (but only on the Today screen)
How can I just remap the button on the sliding keyboard without changing the other ones?

Changing Home Button to Start Menu

Hi, Anyway to switch the existing HOME button on the HD to START button instead?
Thanks
is it AE Button Plus? I think that what I used, couldn't change the home button so I used the back button instead. You can set it up to handle more than one press too.
Not by using AE button program but by mod the registry. Is it possible?
No, you can't change the Home button.
Bump on this topic. Anyone know how to do this via registry? The home button and the end call button do the same thing on the HD and it's a waste IMO to not have a use for one of them.
Home button >>>> Start button would be awesome.

The lack of a home button

Quick question. On my Galaxy S, you can bring up a task menu of previously used apps by holding down the home button. Is there any way of doing this on the Vega without the home button?
Button Savior
Quick answer. Use button savior its a great app (available on the market) Adds the missing buttons as on-screen buttons. Long press that Home on-screen button and the recent apps pop up.
Thanks. Works great

home button alternative?

i tend to use stylus a lot and i can even use it on soft key buttons which is great, i always want to use home button function without pressing the actual button. Is there a motion gesture or anything similar that would allow me to go to home screen?
Basically i would like to avoid pressing the home button with finger all the time.

use swipe home button. Works perfectly with Spen. Just set sensitivity to large inside its settings if it is not that responsive.
thanks guys i liked the samsung accessibility one but i thought it was too laggy to open up and then its always floating
i then found perfect simple app called 'Home Button', its always in notifications and you simply click it
Try floating toucher on google play.
Gmd pen gestures. You create the gestures you need for whatever functions. I've got press pen button swipe down for notifications and up for home..
