[Q] Boot loop, unable to write to 'system' - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I've been trying to put Nethunter on my nexus and seems to have bricked the device.
My main issue is being unable to write to 'Bootloader' and' 'System'. See below for the problem I'm having.
I've tried a number of different images and variations on the steps but nothing seems to work. Any help would be great! Thanks

Hi, if you restart do you have the same apps and system there was before? Or is all erased as it should be according to your erase actions in fastboot?
If all works the same as it was it seems you have the same problem as us. There is unfortunately still no solution for this problem. If it is only a bootloader writing problem I also can't help you out, sorry.
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588911

There is nothing. It gets stuck on the google logo and never gets past that stage so I assume it's been completely wiped.

Hi i have the same situatiom with my nexus 4. Firmware 4.2.2 works good. 4.3 works only with radio 48, 4.4 is not working. I tried to install every radio with this 4.4, 48, 84, and official radio from 4.4,but every try finally is bootloop. Wtf?
Same problem here. Exactly same problem!!!!. Will we live in 4.3 or 4.2.2 forever ?
WTF!
I dont know dude. I think there is a lot nexuses with the same problem. I have crashed audio output, maybe its reason?
same situation..
?
Do you have crash audio out?
The Speaker works, the headphones jack don´t works
Mi audio jack works fine
.
@up2
Do its exactly the same like in my nexus. Maybe all problems are made by this crashed audio jack.

This!

Amartin we have exactly the same situation. I think everything is because of crashed audio jack.
Mi jack is fine and I have the same problem
Rumors, Google Prepairs a 4.4.1 OTA update, have detected the problem?

[Q] Help my Nexus is weirdly busted!

My N7 crashed whilst I was playing Angry Birds Epic (no I'm not blaming this app for the damage) and showed the boot animation and was stuck there.
I rebooted (by holding power button for long time) and then it decided to wait at the google screen, then to black screen and reboot, constantly.
I thought re-flash it, that'll fix it, nope would not flash ANY rom, I thought it might be an issue with TWRP so I tried to update it, no joy! Fastboot would go through the motions of flashing the recovery but it ever ever happened.
I decided to boot the newest TWRP without flashing and still no joy flashing ANY rom. So I decided to try wiping the device, I can't. it seems like the whole device is write protected. Yes it is unlocked!
Can anyone suggest what to do next, I miss my N7!
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

That is odd. Maybe try another USB Cable. OR On a Different Computer. If that fails i think your only option is NV FLASH. But there are some Pre required task and info. I just seen your post and thought i would replay. I do not mess with my Nexus 7 enough anymore to give you any Step by steps. But its all been Written on here over and over. I Have read about your situation before. Sorry someone with more knowledge has not spoken up to guide you better.
Good Luck.

It's very odd, it's definitely an issue with the tablet and not the pc or usb cable as that has been ruled out.
NV FLASH? what is this.
Any help is appreciated, I miss my tablet.
EDIT: Looked into this NV FLASH, no joy when flashing a recovery and bootloader is something my device refuses to do
Gave up waiting on advice and bought a new mainboard, anyone wants the old one can have it for free if they will pay the postage!

Hi,
I'll suggest you flashing a stock ROM from zero here. It seems the version you're trying to install is incompatible with the bootloader version. To do as such, follow the instructions in the 3rd post of this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2670400
Good luck,
~Lord

Hi,
Well, it is looking a problem far more complicated than I expected at first. You are clearly writing the partitions, but for some reason it is not booting in Android. Can you start recovery? If you can we can try issuing some commands via adb to your tablet.
~Lord
Hi Lord,
Really appreciate the follow up.
I can go to recovery or flashboot custom recovery via wugfresh. Do you happen to know which thread has the instructions for the sideload?
Thanks
I was able to get to stock recovery menu to do an adb sideload via wugfresh tools, but once it aborts installation everytime. Any ways around this?

Nexus 10 Bricked Black Screen

I tried to install TWRP, which seemed to work, but when I attempted to boot into the recovery I got nothing but a blank screen. Experimenting I can boot into fastboot and adb, but the bootloader is locked and I can't complete the on-screen portion of the unlock with the blank screen., so therefore can't fix the bootloader. Is there any way to unlock the bootloader from the fastboot command line without device interaction or possibly fix the image with Odin?
Looked up some images of the oem unlock screen and I thought it would be a volume up then power to execute the unlock, but that didn't work. A little annoying because it responds "OKAY" whether you choose yes or no and reboots, making it really confusing. In frustration I randomly hit the volume buttons then power and it worked.
However it still won't boot with the display. Went back into fastboot and tried the script:

Unfortunately I still get a black screen. I suppose the screen could have conveniently chosen an rom upgrade to kick the bucket, but I kind of doubt it. Any ideas?
So your screen doesn't work at all? You don't see the bootloader menu when you boot into the bootloader (by holding both volume buttons + power button)?

Apparently, despite writing the MF01 bootloader to the tablet, it didn't take. I tried to do this manually with fastboot, but this also didn't hold - my tablet still defiantly displays its bootloader version as MANTALJ12.
Is there anything I can do to beat the new version into its head? Did I mess something up? Or am I just SOL?
Thanks in advance...
