SM-G901F Support?
Hi, is there any support for the U.K. EE variant of the SM-G901F Galaxy S5 yet?
Rooting Galaxy S5 after Samsung update
Hi,
I am new to this forum and this is my first post (I have, however, done some research in the forum).
One question I haven't found an answer to is how to safely root my Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F). My reason for wanting to root it is that I want to install CM for security reasons (to fix the swift key vulnerability and stage fright).
Yes there is a lot on that here in the forum BUT there has recently been an update by Samsung and not only am I on Android 5.0 (most posts I've read, deal with or require 4.4) and on Build number LRX21T.G900FXXUBOE5. Since many of the more recent posts on rooting the SM-G900F complain about a failed attempt (with various consequences) I would like to know if this recent update requires a different approach or different versions of the necessary software.
I don't mind triggering KNOX (although I wouldn't mind if that could be avoided)
Thank you for your help
J.T.

also for those without access to a microsoft windows machine what would you suggest? I have read elsewhere here although I have not been able to find the url that one ought not use JOdin -- some noticed unable to tick requisite boxes.
Thank you and Questions
Thank you for posting the clearest guide possible on how to setup the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Developer Edition.
I have two questions:
1. Is there a clear guide on how to get the device back to stock (including Recovery)?
2. In looking at all the ROMs and breakout of the files is there a guide on the different partitions and how to know what should be done and in what order? I don't want to end up with a Retail version and need to update from the version that it was shipped with NCG to NK2.
Thanks

I have installed CWM 6.0.4.4 (Chinese semi-touch version) on my LG G2 F320S with factory shipped firmware 4.2.2 build F320S11k, rooted via Towelroot.
Is it safe to flash this Kitkat over Jellybean? I have already made nandroid and EFS backups just in case.
And yes, I've already tried other methods in updating firmware to no avail:
- LG Flash Tool 2014 keeps crashing on 3 different computers I've tested.
- LG Mobile Support Tool (stuck on loading forever, probably because it's being blocked by our company's firewall)
- OTA (couldn't because I've already installed custom recovery. I don't wanna try flashing stock recovery using adb)
Thank you very much!
I'm also trying to upgrade from JB to KK and having issues locating a method.
