I am not very experienced with flashing roms, but I was curious as to whether flashing a T-Mobile (Note 3) rom would destroy my phone (VZW Note 3) or allow me to achieve my goal of enabling T-Mobile's WiFi Calling feature. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Edit: I have the newest lollipop 5.0 update installed

I recently bought a used ATT LG G2. I installed Novembre5's modified version of the T-Mobile rom to allow wifi calling - it works great.
Today I got an alert from T-Mobile saying "System update downloaded". I wonder if it is safe to install this? If I install it, will I lose the wifi calling (which is very important for me)?
I imagine there must be other people facing the same problem.
Thanks for any input -

Hi, I've been searching for a solution for failed Lollipop update on my AT&T device. I bought my device with AT&T and switched to T-mobile with sim unlock a year later. I'm currently running N900A...NC2 (4.4.2). My device is rooted but i haven't done much after rooting it except removing some bloatware. I'm able to download the OTA update that AT&T is pushing (at least i think its the lollipop update). However, after download the installation fails. I don't know if this is because i'm not with AT&T any longer or is it because my device is rooted. Tried calling T-mobile with no avail. Wondering what my options are at this point.
I read in a thread here that DO NOT FLASH other carrier's stock firmware with ODIN. How true is that? I'm pretty novice at Android devices. So any help/suggestion is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Root can stop OTA.

I see the general consensus is that the tmobile note 4 cannot be used on verizon. Is the radio purely software controlled? Could I just flash another baseband and modem?
I did notice when I installed cm12 and inserted my verizon sim I was able to get 4g and data access but not on the stock tmo rom. Voice did not work as well. Is there anything I can do? I dont really want to have to shell out for the verizon version with an unlocked bootloader.
Thanks
Hello everyone,
I have an unbranded, factory unlocked U1 Samsung Galaxy S8 that I am wanting to switch to Verizon Prepaid. Currently, it's running on Tracfone with the T-Mobile network. Wi-Fi Calling is a must-have for me, but I've heard that it will not work on Verizon with the factory unlocked Galaxy S8 model. It currently works on Tracfone/T-Mobile, though.
Rather than going the extreme route of getting another phone, I was hoping that it would be possible to just flash the Verizon firmware on it in order to gain Wi-Fi Calling and other carrier features from Verizon.
Below are some questions I have about this.
1. Is this likely to work, or would I just be better off to get a branded phone?
2. Is the process as simple as it sounds on the SamMobile site? Or does the process involve something more like this?
3. Will I be able to receive OTA updates after flashing carrier firmware?
4. Are there any particular issues or pitfalls that I should be aware of before attempting this? (besides possible data loss, of course)
5. Will I be able to flash it back 100% to the stock firmware later on if I want to sell it?
6. Is there any other way to get Verizon Wi-Fi Calling while staying on the unlocked firmware?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks!
I have a SM-G935V from Verizon running on 8.0 Oreo and I ported the number over to Mint Mobile. Mint runs on T-Mobile towers, but I want WiFi Calling/Texting and heard that flashing my phone over to T-Mobile will reenable that option for me.
1) How do I go about this?
2) Where do I get the version of Odin I need to flash properly w/o losing data?
