moto x verizon dev edition xt1060 lollipop update question - Moto X General

hey, i got moto x verizon dev edition and i flash on him this stock
"xt1052_retail-de_4.4.4_kxa21.12-l1.26_54_cid7_cfc_1ff.xml"
and then i recived the lollipop update through OTA so i install the new version but after that i was flashing the
4.4.4 baseband of the orginal xt1060 and everything wotk fine! and i thought i will share it with you guys...
but when the sbf filles will come of the xt1060 i definitely will flash them.
is it strange the every thing work good? (btw; im not usig "4G" in my phone but everything else work good)

I'm tented to try out lollipop but I had a bad experience with the twrp lollipop backup you can find in this forum. After I restored it all my memory was read only and dalvik/art cache was rebuilded every time. I blame the different memory module I have with the xt1060 DevEd, being the 32gb model.
Doing it your way I will update the bootloader and get stuck on it for ever.

try to reflash your stock 4.4.4 1033 firmware then flash 4.4.4 retail.en.US (or GB) 1032 firmware and only then flash GPE 4.4.4
Hope it'll work for you
I was facing the same issue.. The below steps worked for me..
. Diwnload uk firware.. GLOBAL version.. (retail GB)
Diwnload GPE 4.4.4
Copy non nhol and fsg files from GLOBAL frimware and Replace it in GPE firware.. The flash using mfastboot..
I have a question here which procedure do you recommend for flashing gpe

[HOW TO][XT1033]Revert from 5.0.1 GPE to 4.4.4/5.0/5.0.1 Motorola or 4.4.4 GPE

Tested on my XT1033.
Some steps are repetitive. That was the way I got back to 5.0.1 Stock after flash 5.0.1 GPE. If you find a shorter way, please tell me and I will add it here. Otherwise, please follow all the steps.
FIRST PARTY - Returning from 5.0.1 GPE to 4.4.4 GPE
1 - Download this folder and extract it: http://www.mediafire.com/download/3ll0q1lwa1rd26r/Lollipop.rar
2 - Download this (GPE 4.4.4 - https://mega.co.nz/#!lUJCFICJ!19k6_7Zsd5_FB47ydrs2ECHF6wWOEd1oUlEmvr_p75Y) and extract into Lollipop folder.
3 - Reboot your phone in bootloader mode. Then plug your phone.
4 - Run BRAZILIAN 5 TO 4.4.4 GPE.BAT
5 - Boot phone, and reboot in bootloader mode again.
6 - Run ANY FIRMWARE TO 4.4.4 GPE.BAT
7 - Boot your phone. At this point, your phone will be running 4.4.4 GPE
SECOND PARTY - Returning from 4.4.4 GPE to 4.4.4 Motorola
8 - Download this (Motorola 4.4.4 - https://mega.co.nz/#!gs1WlIQK!nJA7Vc94DBfGFWGk1krcI5I2cKrJNGHnr_YekCBscwQ) and extract into Lollipop folder. Confirm overwrite files.
9 - Reboot your phone in bootloader mode. Then plug your phone.
10 - Run ANY FIRMWARE TO 4.4.4 GPE.BAT
11 - Boot phone. At this point, your phone will be running stock 4.4.4 motorola again
THIRD PARTY - Upgrading from 4.4.4 Motorola to 5.0 Motorola
12 - Download this (Motorola 5.0 - http://d-h.st/buH) and put it into internal memory.
13 - Reboot in recovery mode and flash it.
14 - If you are planning to upgrade to 5.0.1 ignore this step -- Wipe Data/Factory Reset
15 - Boot phone. At this point, your phone will be running stock 5.0 motorola.
FOURTH PARTY - Upgrading from 5.0 Motorola to 5.0.1 Motorola
16 - Download this (Motorola 5.0.1 - https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Bwray3U603G8TklaOEhXM3NqVVE/edit) and put it into internal memory.
17 - Reboot in recovery mode and flash it.
18 - Wipe Data/Factory Reset
19 - Boot phone. At this point, your phone will be running stock 5.0.1 motorola.
20 - Leave your thanks, if you think that i deserves it. :good::laugh:
Special thanks:

Alternative procedures:
1 - Going directly from 5.0.1 GPE to 4.4.4 Moto (suggested per @felipeap )
- In bootloader mode, flash gpt.bin file from 5.0.1 Moto. (It can be found in the OTA 5.0.1 Moto zip file)
- Then, flash 4.4.4 Moto (through bootloader mode)

I quite sure that you can do the same process, just replacing the XT1033 stock 4.4.4 rom with the correct one for XT1032.

There is no xt1032 stock 5.0 or 5.0.1 lollipop yet. If you're on the GPE 5.0.1 ,you'll have to wait until Motorola releases a OTA stock update to lollipop for the xt1032 before trying this method. I intend to just wait for the full stock lollipop firmware to be released before considering the idea of flashing back to stock.

If you didn't notice, you will be unzipping the Motorola stock firmware and hence over writing the GPE stock files. The commands are same for both.
which one is best according to u guys GPE 5.0.1 or Motorola android 5.0.1 ?? as me have xt1033 and using GPE 5.0.1 ..
Files used for Motorola Rom 5.0/5.0.1 are from brazilian soak test or retail OTA

Yes, dual sim fully working.
@danilocps87,
We all know there're tons of these guides but this one is awesome ! Painlessly downgraded from GPE 5.0.1 to Brazil 4.4.4 and updated to Brazil 5.0.1 smoothly. To my surprise Brazil firmware included all international languages. Thanks a ton m8 ! I will translate and post this to my forum if you think its okay.

Thank you!
I was able to downgrade directly from 5.01 GPE to 4.4.4 Moto.
I flashed the 5.01 Moto gpt.bin (to avoid the Partition is too Small error while flashing system) and then flashed the 4.4.4 normally...

I prefer Motorola version because the dual-sim working, best camera app, and "assist" app.

[Q] Help with JJBL to KKBL

Hey guys, I've recently inherited a relatively unused xt907 vzw that I plan to use when travelling. It was still running ICS when I got hold of it. I'm currently unlocked and rooted and running the latest nightly build for jbbl. As it seems like support is ending for jjbl roms, I'd like to update the bootloader (but remain unlocked and rooted) so I can put lollipop on this phone. Having only used Samsung phones before, I'm a bit of a moto noob, so any help or advice would be appreciated.
I suspect I need to use RSD lite to flash the .10 baseband firmware, right? I'm aware of the issues with .15.
If it matters, my current baseband version is SM_BP_101032.021.32.80P
Thanks in advance.
Since your bootloader is unlocked - you can flash whichever firmware you want with RSDLite. If you want the KKBL, you will need to flash either the .10 or .15 Razr M KitKat firmware or even the .10 luge KitKat firmware - your choice.

Thanks a lot, ATTACK. Is there one in particular you'd reccommend (or reccommend avoiding)?

Flash the .10 Razr M firmware (KDA20.62-10.1).
Head here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-razr-m/general/guide-faq-how-to-root-boot-unlock-t2869432
Thanks again, ATTACK, this worked great I've got CM12 up and running. I had to install a CM11 4.4 build before CM12 because of bootlooping (tried multiple recoveries and CM 12 nightlies).
So in case anyone else comes across this: KDA20.62-10.1->CM 11->CM 12. Works like a charm.

[Q] 4.4.2 -> 4.4.5 -> Lollipop? (No OTA) [G900A]

Hello,
I just got a Galaxy S5 ATNT (SM-G900A) version with firmware 4.4.2 and build number KOT49H.G900AUCU2AND3
I want to upgrade it to Lollipop, but from what I had seen, I need to upgrade it to 4.4.4 first, How can I achieve that?
I'm not on the ATNT Network(in result, OTA is not working), As i'm living abroad. My phone is factory unlocked.
I had also found an OTA .zip but it's a NG3 one, so I'm not sure if it's compatible with my device.
Thanks guys! (I'm hoping I could do this via the stock recovery way)
*I mean 4.4.4 at the title
I believe theres some ota zips but im not certain theres a way available thats been posted to do this, most of them use odin to get to stock and then using ota to update, or updating to get root, i havent seen one about just manually updating to 5.0, go give the att s5 general section a peek. Otherwise i'd ask the mods to move this over to the att q&a section, im sure one of the devs in the att s5 section would be happy to help.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
Oh, i was incorrect, yes there is a lollipop OTA dump, check the att s5 general section, should be able to sideload.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
Hey! Thank you for the reply,
I tried one of the lollipop ota .zips
Named
ATTS5Lollipop.zip
It doesn't install though, when I restart the device it's still on KitKat
Plus the manual ota .zips are for NG3s only,
Are those compatible with my device? (ND3)
NVM,
Downgraded to NCE,
Then upgraded to NG3
Then upgraded to OA1
Then to Lollipop.

Noob question. New to X Pure. lollipop & marshmallow rom

Hey everyone. Forgive me with the noob question.
I recently got my hands on a friends Moto x Pure. I received it with unlocked bootloader and with rooted stock LOLLIPOP and TWRP.
I would like to start flashing roms but it looks like all roms have been updated to 6.0 or 6.0.1. How can I go about getting my MM roms flashed since I am still on 5.1.1. Can I flash like normal or is there modems that need to bee updated. If anyone could give me some help with it I would appreciated it
Again sorry for the noobness and I'm usually pretty good at all this but I wanted to ask since my device is pretty much ready to go and I haven't read and researched enough about this phone yet. Thanks!
Flash the mm pure modem from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...om-trupurex-fast-smooth-t3237155/post63574299
Flash the latest twrp and you're good.
Thanks a bunch dude!
