I tried to install CM11 for my AT&T D800 since I don't want lollipop no more, but since then I'm a bit stuck.
I flashed the KK Bootloader and Modem, then flashed CM11 and brought back an error:
assert failed: run_program("/tmp/loki.sh")
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/cm11'
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/cm11.zip'
Anyone know a fix for this? I really want Cyanogenmod, and there is no other KitKat ROM that interests me.

I am on KK (was on both stock D800 latest ota (u) with knock code, and Mahdi Rom).
I flashed the 100 JB baseband and attempted to install either PA or PAC rom JB flavor.
on PA I got:

Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found.
assert failed: run_program("/system/bin/loki.sh") == 0
E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/Download/pa_g2-3.99-RC2-20131029-d800.zip'

on PAC I got:

Thanks for choosing PAC-MAN ROMS
Enjoy PAC-MAN now

I haven't had any issues flashing KK roms?
Is this because I have the KK bootloader with the recovery installed through Autorec?
Do I need to downgrade to 4.1.2 to root and install custom recovery or is something else going on here?
im trying to install cm12 with lollipop on my sprint lg g2(ls980) and i keep getting "FAILED error executing updater binary in zip" What do i have to do?? HEELLPPP!!!!!
I also am getting that error message on my Verizon LG G2, but only when I'm trying to go to a lollipop ROM. I've tried several different lollipop ROMs but got the same error. I'm coming from XDABBEB 2.5.
Anyone have any ideas?
I need help whenever I try flashing cm12 I keep getting this error "error executing updater binary in zip" I'm currently on stock 5.0.2 d801 and using twrp
Hey people.
After going back to Lollipop stock, I tried re-rooting and reinstalling recovery.
I tried to use both OneClickRootRecovery and the SRK tool - and in both I get the same problem.
Root seems to be fine and recovery does appear, but with one little thing - I can't flash ANYTHING.
Getting the "Error executing updater binary in zip" when flashing anything.
I tried a ROM, and even the latest TWRP zip. Always the same error.
Any idea how to solve this?
Updating "updater-script"
I am having the same issue on my lg d802. I read in few threads to edit "updater-script" file. I downloaded roms meant for d802 and replaced all "d800" appearing in updater-script with "d802" (not sure that this is what was to be done).
Tried flashing the rom with updated updater-script but still getting the same error message.
Someone kindly help.

UPDATE: After extensive reading threads I found the solution. Need to flash jellybean bootloader using "bootloader changer" and then flash AOSP based roms. To restore the stock lollipop one should flash kitkat bootloader back.
The easiest for you who are installing aosp/cm roms is:
1. flash kk stock
2. root and use autorec for kk
3. flash the roms you desire
jelly bean

Dear,
I do have a German T-Mobile branded Note 4 which reports as "SM-N910F" in Settings -> About Device running Stock ROM 5.0.1 OC3.
Would like to upgrade to 5.1.1 and maintained ROM - either Cyanogen Mod or any other better ROM than stock.
My challenge is the correct device and ROM match:
In Settings -> About Device the model number is SM-N910F, e.g. the International version (trltexx)
TWRP and Cyanogen Mod identify the device as SM-N910T, e.g. the T-Mobile US version (trltetmo)
When trying to flash Cyanogen Mod 12.1 for trltexx via TWRP after Advanced Wipe I do get the error:
Code:
Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found
This package is for device: trltexx, trltedt; this device is trltetmo.
E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/cm-12.1-20150831-NIGHTLY-trltexx.zip'
Error flashing zip ....
Any other ROM I have tested (TEKHD or Cyanogen Mod 12.1 for trltetmo) fail to install. CM fails with:
Code:
Patching system image unconditionally...
blkdiscard failed: Invalid argument
E: Error executing updater binary in zip '....'
Error flashing zip '...'
And TEKHD never completes flashing (I waited for about 45 minutes), following the guide from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...-boc4-tekxodus-n4-urv1-4-14-15-note4-t3082085
I am back on OC3 (5.0.1) now but would love to get some advise (and RTFM is fine) how I can upgrade to 5.1.1.
Thanks, AF
You have the wrong recovery
Download twrp-2.8.7.0-trltexx.img.tar from here and flash it via ODIN.
After you'll be able to flash all the ROMs for N910F.
