I am the developer of Note 5 RiverROM (S7 Edge Full Port Features, applications etc). I have received some positive feedbacks from S6 Edge Plus users as this rom works good on their devices too. As we know these two devices have got identical chipsets, screen sizes etc. So, I have decided to open a thread for first step testing. If anyone is interested, please welcome to test. First of all please visit my Note 5 thread and take a look at the rom features, known issues and so on. If you S6 Edge Plus users want to try a new rom, please leave a comment here and Vote. Thanks.
If you are willing to see and support RiverROM in your forum, I would develop my rom for you with latest S6 Edge Plus firmware base.

How the best rom and kernel for s7 edge
Dude just flash some and read along the threads, inform yourself and form an own opinion.
Starting threads like these is like: "Best app for Samsung phones?"
Get your stuff together.
BasicPlus
I figured this was the best place to put this thread/topic but if it's not, please move mods! Searching didn't show any other threads that answered my question; please link if one exists though!
So I was interested in creating an Edge Panel for my Galaxy S7 Edge. Is this something only Samsung creates and offers? It looked like there are multiple developers of the Edge Panels but most I checked seemed to be "Sally Soft" which maybe is Samsung because I've read of people getting a Panel (the Widget Panel) auto-download to their phone in an auto-update. Who knows.
But now that I am digging a little more into it, I guess it's just Samsung that creates and offers these. That would explain the lack of information available on them. What a shame if so!
Custom made Edge Panels is a great idea yet unfortunately not so popular so I hope we get there some day
While a Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE (GT-i9305) were still my daily driver before I've moved to the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE+ (SM-G901F / kccat6) I opened the following two thread in the S3 forum nearly two years ago:
How did I enhance the battery duration, privacy and security of my GT-i9305?
GApps free on Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE (GT-i9305) - microG is all you need!
Both threads have developed over the time, and the respective OP doesn't necessarily reflect the current status or setup of my devices but all changes were always covered in the threads later.
As I believe and am convinced that nearly everything that was covered for the i9305 can easily be transfered to the SM-G901F (most likely to all other SGS 5 versions), I decide to open a thread here in the S5 Q&A forum to draw other interested users' attention to the above linked thread.
I do not intend to repeat anything that I already posted once but even with a G901F as the daily driver, I keep those two threads updated. In case of questions, remarks, suggestions, or simply new information feel free to post there and stay tuned. However, I'm also open to receive contributions in this "new" thread but might reply in the older and mature ones.
Last but not least, a huge difference between the i9305 and the G901F must be mentioned: For the latter one, only very few ROMs are available and I haven't found any compatible custom kernel. The non-availability of custom kernels severely hampers the possibilities to tweak the G901F for even better battery duration. Meanwhile I know that I deceived myself by the G901F's hardware compared with the G900F; if I've to replace the first one I'll certainly go with the latter in future as at least a Boeffla kernel is available for that device.
