I am checking out the build prop and it shows the platform is msm8916. I says it's a snapdragon 410 but isn't it supposed to be the snapdragon 615?

I believe they are only used as needed. Its part of the power saving design.
Allright

If you are on Kitkat navigate to /sys/devices/system/soc/soc0/soc_pvs with root explorer and open that with the text viewer. Mine is pvs1. It will come up with the number, i dont think you need root to access this dir, not too sure as ive always been rooted.
If you are on JB still it is located at /d/acpuclk/pvs_bin
Here it is in kitkat on my device -

And what can we now do with that? Maybe like with the G3 as the G4 cames out, different apps we can port?

It has an 821. That is why it tells you that. I'm not sure why you have a problem with that.

I owned a GPad P815L. It is currently running on Android 5.0.2 (Software version P815L10f).
In order to root and solve its CPU throttling problems(due to LG's conservative governors maybe) I found this thread on XDA.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/general/root-lg-g-pad-x8-3-vx815-model-t3129762
I thought P815L was a similar model of vk815 so I tried the LG One Click Root Tool(both 1.3 and 1.2 methods) but neither did work.
Is there any method that can root the P815L nowadays? Besides, could I upgrade its firmware to Android 6.0 Marshmallow? I haven't found a way to do so.
Thanks for your attention.
