Hello I have made a very detailed video showing how to get Stock Samsung Lollipop (5.0.2) and CyanogenMod 12.1 (5.1.1) on the same tablet [T700 Canadian version] dual booting.
THIS IS DONE AT YOUR OWN DESCRETION and I am not responsible if something goes wrong or you do something wrong. I have repeated the process at least 10 times to see how it works. Even did it on a Samsung Galaxy S4 and Note 4 with no issues.
PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME even watch the video a few times before you give it a try. In the end you can always flash stock Samsung Rom and do a factory reset.
I really enjoy using this feature and having the choice between two different roms on the same phone.
You can share apps from your stock Samsung Rom to your Cyanogenmod Rom without having to reinstall most of your apps. Saving lots of space.
I hope you enjoy.

So by using FolderMount I am able to save so far 3gb of space on my data folder. I transfer app data to external SD card. Link the app data on external SD card with FolderMount which tricks the app into thinking it is installed on internal data.
Then I created a backup in FolderMount. Switch roms load FolderMount. Restore backup for FolderMount. Restore link app data locations because cm and touchwiz see external SD card different and FolderMount corrects this thankfully.
Click the green linking tab a few times and FolderMount will recognize the data.
As I said I have saved 3gb of room on my internal data having app data on external SD card.
If something like this was built into our dualboot patcher it would make things easier. Maybe if we spoke to the developer of FolderMount. If not using both FolderMount and Dual boot patcher I now have 3 roms on my Note 4 and almost 4gb free space on internal data between all 3 roms. Look at the pics of before in my previous comment and this one to see.
Just finding ways of maybe booting 4 roms on one phone.
Will report back.
Think I am on to something, let me know what you think. Give it a try possibly. I will be making a youtube video to help better demonstrate.

Yes there is and here you go. Look at the attached pictures.
Thanks. Would there be much work porting this over to the 10.5 models?
It can be done.
Download Storage Partitions from the play store.
Need screenshots of all the partitions from the app I just stated in the all partitions tab on the left.
Also need to know your ro.product.device= from system build.prop.
Look at pictures I am attaching.
Heres my screenshot of my partitions for SM-T800 WiFi Tab S 10.5. @Leonidas87
ro.product.device=chagallwifi
Excellent!!. I was able to dual boot to CM 12.1 on Tab S 8.4 (SM-T700). Primary ROM is TW Detox and the secondary being CM 12.1. Successfully shared the apps across the ROMs.
The whole process took less than 5 minutes. Once again thanks for such a helpful post.

How do I port thsi to my T705?
Yup. Easy. Edit your build.prop so that ro.product.device reads klimtwifi instead of klimtlte. I have successfully done this with chagalllte changing to chagallwifi.
@Leonidas87, can we get chagalllte and klimtlte added to this so we don't need to edit build prop? WiFi and lte variants are identical with the exception of sim card...

hello frnds,
When many people were working on multiwindow and CM i decided to work upon my own to bring up s IV camera ..it's so strange that i've not seen a single thread to get this amazing feature !
i will upload my first compilation soon ..
remember it's just the initial build which includes some unnessasry libs and apps ..
but im sure that some experienced dev will be able to solve it ..
btw you don't have to change the app to hdpi as i've done it already
REMEMBER EVEN I DIDN'T TEST THIS BUILD ..IT'S JUST A COMPILATION OF REQUIRED FILES
instructions: (for testers)
1.Please make a nandroid backup..
2.delete seccamera.apk from system/app cause you are installing seccamera2.apk:fingers-crossed:
3.flash via CWM/TWRP and reboot..
instructions: (for devs)
1.before flashing this zip just go through all the contents especially the library files
2.delete what you think is unnecessary
3.do some changes in framework2.jar(i think it has to be edited i'm not sure)
4.then make a nandroid backup and flash..
first compilation:https://www.dropbox.com/s/qludngntsu7asa0/camera beta 1.zip
reseved
HDPI? Hmm. I don't have an Advance but Blaze is the same res. Let me look into it..
Sent from my Blaze/HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta(using both )
Edit: Looks big for a camera and some needed libs. For sure there are unneeded ones in there.

i really wanted to check what happens..
now here's what exactly happened according to me..
#the zip permissions are al-right so it should have flashed everything properly
#but the space reserved for the ROM in s advance is not enough!
#remember on s3,s4,note 2,grand etc. you don't get 3 divisions of phone memory
#in our phone the phone memory shows around 2 GB
#so the space must have been occupied by the smaller files mainly eraser, beauty face etc.
#time for test 2 buddy !
#goog luck with multiwindow..:good:
Yes you're right after flashing I saw that in the titanium backup.
It shows 631mb in the system rom.

Hi,
Does exist some version of Firefox OS for Galaxy S3?
Thanks!
I think its not so easy to port Firefox to any android device , maybe just for now maybe later we can see firefox on android device and also
android os on firefox devices
Yea its not easy to port it but when someone does there will be lots of bugs!
But when its done, it could be very nice to have.
Is this for the international S3?
I can't find any reference to where you found this file.

android is replacing every OS of present day. even the PC,s are reverting to this os due to its open platform and easy use.it will be far better if Android is promoted and progressed instead of introducing new os like that of firefox.it will take a very long time to streamline and turn it a bugless os.

Hello XDA community!
As you know, Sammobile announced that I9300 won't get official Kitkat update from Samsung. You can get more information from there;
http://www.sammobile.com/2014/05/07/heres-a-list-of-samsung-devices-getting-the-android-4-4-kitkat-update/
But Samsung released official Kitkat update for International Note 2 (N7100) from OTA. Almost everyone believed in this update is canceled because of low RAM. I did not believe it. So, I started to work to boot N7100XXUFND3 on I9300.
The ROM is about 1.8 GB, we have 1.5 GB partition size for system. There is no way to boot on NAND without partition eMMC. I partitioned my 16GB sdcard and install the ROM to sdcard. I changed the kernel from I9300XXUGNB6. And it booted.
It's running pretty smooth even running on sdcard. Of course it crashes sometimes, but not a big deal. The most important things are not working too (like RIL, WiFi)
Here's a video of demonstration;
Here's RAM usage;
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3U72O5ZZ8z-YmJ6UWlMRmtGZmc/edit?usp=sharing
So, What's your opinion about canceling update?
Only commercials, if they update an with years old phone they don't sell more s4 and s5

Great job brother but huge disappointment as Google stated that kk can work on devices lower than 512mb of ram easily yet Samsung cancelled it due to ram limitations not genuine reason possibly they would bring a update in the near future neglecting a flagship device is seriously awful!
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
Well have kitkat, believe me. If you do the same with the KitKat update for the GT-I9305 instead of the Note2 firmware it will be better. Wifi will work, and RIL most probably too after some little changes.
I will try my best to port the upcoming GT-I9305 KitKat update to the GT-I9305. If you could tell me what you have done in order to port the firmware, that would be awesome! Maybe we can team up and start porting as soon as the update is available?
BTW: Why havent you debloated the rom to shrink it a bit? Removing all unnessesary apps from /system/app and /priv-app could make it smaller than 1,5GB

-If Samsung release Kitkat for GT-I9305, I'll do my best for porting it to I9300 too.
-I don't want to remove any apk for testing RAM usage (reason of cancelling)
-I changed only kernel, and it booted.
-We can make a team for porting of course, why not?

Ahh that makes sense amd im happynto hear that you want to team up! In the past i have ported several things and i think that we can do it together! The only thinh i worry about is the RIL. Lets hope samsung releases the S3 LTE firmware soon so we can start working on it.
Also a thing with the S3 LTE is that it has a different partition layout. We must take care of that and be very carefull in what we do. Unlike the note2 we cant just flash it and see what happens.

Note 2 has a different partitio layout too.
as a normal user, I'm going to hope that Samsung leaks GS3 KitKat Drivers, Kernel and sth like that.. And if they do, it may help you developers.
Thanks for trying to help all of us Kitkat wanters
Sam**** will definetly not release any Kernel source without releasing a rom along with it. Thats for sure. But we can take stuff from GT-i9305 and Note2 so were good for the next time....atleast till the next major Android version.

A few thoughts:
-RIL: I guess the baseband is loading modem FW from NAND even when booting from SD card. Could also be an EFS issue.
-WiFi is probably Knox interfering with module loading, as seen on the I9305.
-Storage is a consequence of booting from SD card.
-Sensors are either a HW mismatch between S3 and NoteII, or a failure to mount the Firmware partition.
Try to debloat and flash on NAND.

forumber2 can you post here your rom here so somebody can debloat it or help you with it ???
Ok. So let get this straight. what you actually did is that you modified build.prop (someone posted once here how it should look) and replaced the boot. (bin, I guess) with a stock kernle from S3, right ? And you installed it on the SD card because you needed more space ? If this is right, then please upload the ROM here, and I will debloat it for you
I will still try to do this. Also, the build.prop was uploaded on XDA with the news that S3 won't receive official KK. I will remove some Google stuff and then let the flash begin

Nope, the video is legit. Look at the lockscreen and the settings app. Baseband version is also unknown, which is a sign that this is a legit port.
P.S: What are you gonna do with this rom? Its useless...WiFi and RIL doesnt work...

I didn't said it is not legit. in fact, I wanted to know what to do to use it myself And I would probably end just by testing it for few hours, probably testing some random modems / (restoring EFS :-? ). And @henrylife , who is porting the S5 ROM said that every 4.3 kernel works on that, so... probably ending dual-booting it. Found on Note II's thread even ROMs with like 600-700MB.

-RIL: I think I just need to change RIL blobs tp get it work. It's easy
-WiFi: Maybe KNOX, maybe WiFi modules (dhd.ko) causes the problem. We should try
-Storage: The storage problem isn't causing by booting from sdcard, I tried boot from sdcard with CM11 and I9300XXUGNB6. Those had not any problems about storage. I think I need to change mount commands in ramdisk.
-Sensors: Android Sensor Service is updated in Kitkat. So, we need newer sensor driver of I9300. Maybe we can use CM11 opensource driver.

To get storage to Mount 100% you will need to modify the vold. Fstab file. Once done your storage should work correctly. If you need help With RIL let me know via PM. Also i Can help you get these bugs ALL ironed out TODAY. Just PM me thanks.

These Roms are ported from the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and there is no nameless ROM for it yet. And then there's the rotation issue to deal with. I tried porting Omni 5.0.1 and it works but rotation is bad.
And the newer Omni 5.0.2?

I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure it'll be the same. Ro.sf.hwrotation=90 was used in the build.prop of previous Roms to allow it to rotate properly but that doesn't seem to work for these builds.

Well I don't have the 4.4 source and neither do I have a computer.....mine is broken. Bought one on amazon but I'll take three weeks to get here . @jolinnard already pointed out that rotation control can be found in phonewindowmanager.java in frameworks base. But instead of looking at the full source maybe we can look in android policy.jar. There are multiple files in there named phonewindowmanager, maybe one handles rotation? Also if you use Virtuous Ten Studio you can generate a phonewindowmanager.java file from androidpolicy.jar. I don't know if its the same as can be found in frameworks base of the rom source though.
No mtp support !!!
i cant connect the tab to the pc. what may have caused it. i tried rebooting the tab. turning on the usb tethering.

Hello everyone! I do not own this ROM or did I make it, I'm merely spreading the word about it and yes I am currently using it and will be happy to provide screenshots if requested. @BotsOne had made a post on the International Note 4's thread regarding a working CM13 Rom for Trltetmo. Since the post was made public I assume this post I am making is okay, I understand it was originally closed for testing purposes. This is a direct quote from the post where I had downloaded the ROM for myself, if the owner decides to take the download down I will not be uploading the ROM to share.
Simply flash the ROM.zip then flash your choice of Gapps along with anything else you so desire. I booted up perfectly, gave it a moment to settle and I soon got 4G LTE within minutes. Tested calling, texting, and data all work as usual. I have not tested MMS messaging though as I do not use it often. You may modify the T-Mobile APN to your liking. (All I did was change the protocol) I also did not test whether NFC works or not. However, the camera is working perfectly and so is Now on tap with the Nav Bar. Xposed is also working on the ROM. I also have had no force closes.
Special thanks to @BotsOne for sharing the download link and to the creator of the ROM @micky387, I appreciate your effort to bring us Note 4 users at T-Mobile a working CM13 ROM.
Feel free to share your experiences below!
Will take down at the request of @micky387 since I believe they are the owner.
Please be advised that even though it is built for Verizon, it will also work on T-Mobile.
Hey everyone, so @hsbadr built a working Trltetmo CM13 ROM which is receiving nightlies (as far as I can tell) that also has Calling, texting, camera, and LTE fully functioning.

If you are interested, just download the latest version and you're all good to go! Setup is usual.
Flash ROM.zip, then flash Gapps.zip (Marshmallow Gapps!) and anything else you desire after that.
If you can't seem to find it, just go here

Special thanks to @hsbadr for providing this ROM for most variants (T-Mobile, Verizon, possibly Sprint)

I will give this a shot when I get home today to see how it runs. I love Samsung's apps but man AOSP just runs and looks better.
EDIT: After thinking for a minute, I don't have the time to mess around with switching to AOSP so I'll flash this at a later date and see. But thanks for posting anyways!
I'm going to assume no B12/VoLTE or WiFi Calling because of the DOK2 modem/baseband? The second WiFi calling can be confirmed, I will go to AOSP from TouchWhz.
Tried it going from 4.4.4 direct to it. Booted fine, no cell service at all however.

I don't believe CM has VoLTE or Wifi Calling anywhere

Make sure you're on a lollipop baseband / modem in order for this to work correctly!

@MisterCoolBeans is right. AOSP ROM's won't offer those features. It's not a modem thing, it's TW only.

I am currently running the build and it works perfectly fine on my N910T (Trltetmo)
Thank you so much for providing this..
I am using a SM-N910T3 (T-Mobile)
I finished Titanium Backup and also a full system back up using TWRP recovery.
So, I download the full image and flash, then use the Google App zip all in TWRP recovery.. (I usually use a fresh SD to avoid losing original data on SD)
Correct?
in TWRP trying to flash and it verified and says Flashing 1 of 1 , it's been on that screen for 15min now.
UPDATE: I did a factory wipe in TWRP and after that was able to install firmware and gapps
Ok, everything so far is working beautiful... Phone works, sms,
SM-N910T3 using TWRP
cm-13.0-20151217-UNOFFICIAL-trltevzw.zip
What I have noticed so far,
1.)Notification icons are solid white.
2.)After installing SuperSu, it says there is a binary update, when trying to update it fails. It says do it through TWRP,. (Side load it.. done)
3.) SD card is write protected or not accessible in titianium backup (Update: fixed with this-
"Originally Posted by sjancura

4.)When connecting usb to computer, shows device in my computer but its empty and doesn't show external card and internal location. UPDATE: SOLVED: (while restoring from TitaniumB/turned off debugging in dev. section , I noticed a option was in the pull down menu, "Use USB for" - [Charging] , [File Transfers] or [Photo Transfer] . I selected File transfers -MTP and it works now. (Maybe this is a Android 6 "feature")
5.) Under [About Phone], Model name shows [SM-N910V] will try and change this to my actual model - SM-N910T3
Looking for a simple app to do this instead of the long way of editing the build.prop
6.) Google Camera, Camera error - "Can't connect to the camera" - Is there a way to install the native Samsung camera app (Researching now) - I installed Camera 360 and that works fast
7.) Fast Charging doesn't seem to be working
