Thanks for share this OTA.
it's possible to use with a Claro (Chile) MotoX2014?
Hello,
I have an XT1097 directly from Motorola, (not telcel), but it's converted to XT1095
Is it possible to install this OTA to bring it back to it's real estate? (I don't have any backup of the original firmware)

No, it will fail. You have to wait for the OTA. But I doubt claro will get it, claro and motorola had a fight, and now claro does not sell motorola phones... which means claro's motorola phones might not get updates ever.

No, flashing this OTA will not revert your phone back to stock 1097. You need to download the full firmware for 1097 and flash it to get back to stock.

I don't think this is the official release because the kernel is one month older than the other "official" OTA's. Looks more like the soak before the final release.

Yes, the firmware for mexico is in that link. Here it is:

I got the same update yesterday but It doesn't let me update it says there is an error when trying to update.
I tried from stock recovery and it says there is an error with gmail2.apk anyone know why is this happening?
A similar error happened to me yesterday, but with "Books.apk". I flashed again the stock rom with RDSLite and then I flashed the OTA (the zip file from the 1st post) and everything is working great now.

If you're already on the stock 5.0 firmware (22.21.17.victara_retmx.retmx.en.MX), then you just need to flash the OTA via recovery.
If you don't know how to enter the recovery, just search for instructions, they're pretty easy to find, even videos.

What do you mean by "custom stock"? If your version is the same from the OTA then you can update it just fine as long as you haven't made any changes to the original system files (deleted, modified, etc) or changed to a custom recovery. But since you said your bootloader is locked than you probaly haven't changed anything. Just flash it through stock recovery and you should be fine.
Also, one more picture proving it is real:
Update done successfully. Thanks for providing the update.
cannot update, bro. My unlock bootloader, root. When it go to update about 1/3 time and have robot Android die onscreen. How can i fix that?
Thanks a lot, works fine here!

If you have Xposed, uninstall it. If you changed (deleted, modified) any original system file, change it back.
You don't have to disable root. It should work.

Come on folks, this stuff takes time out of people's day, and work to get things copied and uploaded; the least you can do is click a button. I know that manners are a lost legacy, but people aren't obliged to do things - they do it from the kindness of their hearts, so at least show some thankfulness - some courtesy won't take any time, and certainly won't kill you; in fact, you'll actually FEEL BETTER FOR IT

I was getting errors with the 4.4.4 OTA through philz recovery.
So I downgraded to 4.3 and updated OTA to 4.4.2 - 176.44.1.en.GB(187mb) and then an update of (8mb).
Now i am on 4.4.2 and got 4.4.4 OTA 210.12.10.en.GB.

This mean, that this OTA archive is for version 176.44.1. This mean that you cant jump (for example) from 14.71.8 (Android 4.3) to 210.12.10 (Android 4.4.4) because you need OTA with name\version 14.71.8. When you apply it - you will have 174.44.9 (4.4.2, first update). With next OTA with name\version 174.44.9 you will have the last update for 4.4.2 (176.44.1), and so on.

Hi everyone,
This is the SOAK OTA that is being pushed for the Retail XT1097 in Brazil. To use this you have to be unrooted and on version 187.30.3. Installing it is simple enough, download it, get it on your phone, shutdown your phone and install it via STOCK RECOVERY. Clear cache once done (I got a bootloop when I didn' t do it).
No, I haven' t tested this on anything other than retail XT1097 phones in Brazil, so feel free to try it and , as always, don' t blame me if anything happens to your phone!

I can look at it after the weekend, it's pretty annoying that i don't have another phone. I need to be available over the weekend.

Appreciated uluf!!! Just a thought, other carriers have a stock 5.1 rom, why not the unlocked variant and could help testing if you need!
Is this any different from lpe23.32-14 ? I mean any bug fixes or so?

I am already working on it. I am making flashable 4.4.4, 5.0, and 5.1 xt1095 zips. The 4.4.4 one is ready, it is uploading to my google drive now. I am finishing up the 5.0 and 5.1 and will upload those as well once they are finished.

Yes it is. However root will be lost during the flash and you will have to root it again. If you flash with TWRP, it will ask you if you want to root after you exit, so it can be rooted easily after being flashed.
Alright, the 4.4.4 version is online in the the X 2014 Android Development forum here.
Edit:
5.0 is done and uploading now to my google drive.
5.1 should hopefully be done tomorrow.

oh thanks, will I receive ota in the future flashing this zip? like 6.0? are these ota safe to install?
many many thanks
With this one, yes you will still receive OTA. With the ones for the xt1095, no OTA is disabled.
As far as if it is safe... that depends on your boatloader version. If it's higher than the version you are coming from it can hard brick it. If it's the same or lower it should be safe. That is why OTA is disabled in the rom for the xt1095, to prevent hard bricks. So if you want to use OTA you do so at your own risk.

Someone has already received 6.0 to this rom?
Thanks.
Hi guys! I found this MU folder that contains all Android Marshmallow (6.0) retail firmwares for XT1097:

You can install it using RSD or manual install. Here is a tutorial for flashing it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/guide-moto-x-return-to-100-stock-using-t2446515
Be careful since the manual steps only install 7 system partitions, and this includes nine, just add those two more steps and you are good to go.
Way faster than FileFactory. Hopefully RETCA 6.0 will be added soon. Even though I already updated by OTA, I always like to keep a backup of stock firmware.
I converted my XT1097 to XT1095 with Marshmallow... Can i return to XT1097 with these images?

Are you can install some of These firmware on xt1097 AT&T?
if the answer is no, in the future, it would be possible to install a firmware USA on this device? (I know that Motorola has no plans to launch marshmallow on AT&T)

It depends, if your bootloader is locked and your are on 5.1, then no you can't flash this. If your bootloader is unlocked you can flash it. If you are on 4.4.4 or 5.0 with a locked bootloader, you can use kingroot and sunshine to unlock your bootloader, then you can flash it.

Is there a version compatible with RETUS?
Hi guys,
I been reading the forum for few hours but unable to find the answer to this question. Hope you guys can help me.
I got Moto X 1092 with 5.1 and unlocked bootloader. I have rooted and change system files before so I am unable to update to MM by OTAs. I'm planning to manually flash MM
My question is:
1. After I flash, would the bootloader be locked back?
2. Can I skip to flash the bootloader? Would there be any issue if I skip? Which file is it, boot.img?
Please help me as I don't want to do the wrong thing and bricked my phone.

No, the bootloader will not be relocked.
If you're upgrading from 5.1 to 6.0 you cannot skip flashing the bootloader, which is motoboot.img. There is a full stock firmware of 6.0 for the XT1092 at the link in the OP, that's what you should flash. You will lose root, and since I never root stock, I don't know what works for stock MM.
