[Q] I changed my PPI and I crashed my launcher permanently.

I changed to 305ppi working fine
then I revert back to 149 (the device's native) now my launcher would force close all the time.
Now I can't launch anything, can't even change back
what could I do.... please help!!!

I had a problem where the launcher would crash repeatedly and I'd have to hit Ok or something. The system did work though so I was able to navigate to settings, while constantly hitting OK (to accept my launcher had crashed again).
In settings I was able to remove the Set as default option from the launcher and so the next time I hit Home I was asked to select a launcher - Here I chose another one and all was OK.

I installed ADW launcher and it launched just fine, but the stock browser, holo, go, and the likes are not, ADW is the only one
Also I couldn't get Chrome to run anymore, constantly crash, just like the stock launcher....
The icon in ADW is also 75% smaller, which I have no clue to fix or reverse this

has anyone else had the issue of whatever launcher being set as default launcher NOT sticking across a boot, or sometimes even during regular operation? i downloaded Apex, and set it as my default, yet when i reboot, it always asks me to set default launcher again, and even sometimes when running other apps, if i hit the home button, it asks what launcher to run.

Nope. Never have that problem. Then again, I always freeze Touchwiz with Titanium Backup.

Whenever I use Apex or ADW I tend to have that same problem. Removing other launchers than the one you plan on using full time tends to clear that up. There may be an easier way to do it, but it's never been a big enough problem for me to try something else.

[Q] Screen Objects lock

I assume that this problem is common to all and it is still amazing that I haven't found any solution other then using 3rd party UI
The problem in simple words is happens when you long press the screen accidentally, then the object is widget is been remove or shift to other screen.
in Luncher Nova UI, this problem can be solve easily by locking the application after done editing
does anyone have any idea how can it be done in Samsung to Goggle original UI ?

Can't... Have to install a non stock Launcher like Apex, Nova, etc.

[Q] Switching Between Multiple Launchers

Hello,
I would like to switch between several different launchers but I notice when I do this that a lot of times that launchers crash. Is there an app or a way I can make this process easier on my S4 or is the phone built really for only one or two launchers? My primary launcher is TSF which I enjoy but I like the different features and functionality of other launchers. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Questions go in the q&a forum. I was having trouble also on just stock and nova launcher that it crashed so much I just stopped using it. Best thing to do is root and install a custom ROM if your not on MF3 baseband.

On Nova Launcher you can press and hold on the home screen, choose shortcut, then activities. You can then select Touchwiz Home (press it then press the 1st Touchwiz Home (com.android.launcher2.Launcher)). This will create a shortcut on your home screen to Touchwiz launcher.
I'd imagine you can do the same thing for other launchers - assuming one of your launchers has the ability to add activities to the home screens. I'm not sure how differently it functions from just opening the launcher itself...but it works well for Touchwiz since it doesn't actually have it's own icon to use.

Button for all apps deleted

Since i'm experimentating with my homescreen and using different launchers i deleted the button just above my dock to go to all apps. currently i'm using nova launcher and i don't know how i can add the button again.
Quiet irritating as i can't go to all my apps....

U should be able to add a new shortcut to the home screen labeled app drawer and the you can put that back in the original location

Indeed you need to hold the homescreen, the pick widget and there are soms widget of nova launcher included the app drawer! Thx mate!
