hi guys
so i recently got a s4 (Gt-i9505) and wanted to root it so i imidietly thought i know towel root so i tried and failed as all it did was not work (i tried the modstrings still nothing) so then i gave up and decided to look for new non-pc tools for 4.4.2 (kitkat) and build number being KOT49H.I9505XXUGNJ3 so i was wandering out of these tools what i should use :
iroot
kingroot
kingoroot (for android apk)
(also any others if anyone knows any)
so yea i just wanted to know also which is the safest as last time i rooted i bricked a brand new Xperia Z and it wasnt replace-able or repair-able so yea i kinda am scared to try these tools myself and wanted to know which is the safestand the best
also will any of these trip knox and what does tripping knox do?
thanks in advance

The root methods you have listed are intended for older versions. The only functioning NC1 root method is towelroot. Please check the all things NC1 thread prior to posting. All info can be found there. The person above has given the link to towelroot. If you go to the galaxy s5 forums, you can get a tutorial on it, but it's pretty straightforward. Enjoy your rooted device.
Remember that the phone has a locked boot loader. So, the stock kernel and recovery cannot be replaced. The only working recovery is safestrap. There is also restrictions on the Roms that can be flashed.

You can use TowelRoot for your phone
Hi all,
I am looking for a guide to root the Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 Black Edition, build number JSS15J.I9505XXUENAA. Device was bought before a couple of days with Android 4.3, Kernel version is [email protected] #1 and SE for android status: enforcing SEPF_GT-I9505_4.3_0014. Secure boot status is Samsung.
This is possibly an international version without any special software installed (except the Samsung standard utilities).
I have used Framaroot software in the past to root the I9000 but afaik it can't root the I9505 so please let me know which rom to use and root the device.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I am new member so excuse me if I put the topic in the wrong place or I repeat the same questions.
Anyway, I have note 3 neo (N750) and I rooted it with CF-AUTO but I didn't know that I need to look at the version of the phone ( mine is 4.3 ) ! But it worked so I think it was the right version.
I forced problems :
SuperSU won't be updated and it say that KNOX detected and when I want to disable it " disabling failed " !!
I bored. So, I uprooted the device and wiped the cache of partition + wiped data/factory rest.
After doing that, SuperSU updated and KNOX disabled !!!!
I decided to Rooted again but this time by your advice expert
But before that I want to update the device because I see a lot of people on the Internet have note 3 neo with 4.4.2 ! But mine is 4.3 ! So how to update it ? The device status is custom so I can't updated ! How to get it back to normal ? Flash the stock ? How to find the stock one for my device ? I am from Bahrain ( Middle East )
Model number SM-N750
Android version 4.3
Baseband version N750XXUBNG3
Kernel version 3439-2477732 [email protected]#1 Fri Jul 18 18:40:38 KST 2014
Build number JSS15J.N750XXUBNG3
SE for Android status Enforcing SEPF SM-N750 4.3 0021
And what is the best program to root with ?
Execute me guys, but I am new at the android world ( noob :$ )

Sorry didn't see it ! :x
I didn't see it sorry. I hope the administration just move the topic to the right section without deleting it !
Editing /
The device didn't unroot ! I checked again with root checker but found out that it is the root still exist !
So I'm new to the whole android scene but I would like to root my phone. I have read up on rooting and whatnot but before going any further I decided to post a thread here with a couple of my questions. Here is some info about my phone in-case it was needed.
Model number - SM-G900V
Android Version - 4.4.4
Baseband version - G900VVRU1ANI2
Kernel Version - 3.4.0 Sun Sept 14
Now onto the questions
1) I looked at towel root and apparently it is one of the roots that doesn't trip KNOX but towelroot doesn't work on kernels after June 3 and mine just so happens to be after June 3 so would it be better to find a new rooting method that wouldn't trigger KNOX or try to flash a kernel prior to june third then use towelroot.
2) After I root will I need to maintain the root by installing updates to it or anything like that.
3) If towelroot isn't an option any more what is the best method to root without triggering KNOX?
That's all for now but I am sure more questions will arise as they are answered.
Thanks for the help
Hi these are the current details of my phone:
Version: 5.0.1 Lollipop
Android Security Patch Level: 2015-11-01
Baseband Version: i9506XXUDOJ2
Kernel Version: 3.4.0-6069869(Sat Nov 7)
Build Number: LRX22C.I9506XXUDOK1
I was browsing around the forums and saw a method with towelroot but the latest towelroot v3 says "Every Android phone with a kernel build date < Jun 3".
Can I still use v3?
You will have to try for yourself.
And tripping Knox is not the end of the world. Unless you actually use it.
Haha I just wanted to see if I could do it without tripping. I couldn't find a way to not trip it, so I just went ahead to root it the "normal" way. Now its tripped and I have a successfully rooted phone.
Figuring out how to install Xposed now and realised I have to deodex my ROM to install it.

How did you root your phone ?
Because our phone is not supported by towellroot v3
Thanks
Rooting may be possible by flashing TWRP and then flashing supersu from TWRP.
TWRP here: https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxys4ltea.html
@audit13: CF-Autoroot I think you mean, since this is a Samsung device with Knox.
