[Q] Help me to unbrick my HTC legend

Hi Everybody,
I am a newbie, i was trying to install aliba's gingerbeard rom via rom manager, but i dont know what happenend and just my device stopped working, and hanging on cyanogenmod symbol,
Pls guide me to unbrick, i have read some threads in our XDA itself, i am not so clear from where to start to unbrick,
and i placed some roms in sdcard/update.zip via card reader and used the recovery screen (i knew that recovery is not clockwork mod) but the error is
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0)
and finally after retry 10 it is showing
E: Can't find /sdcard/update.zip
Installation aborted.
Pls help me to sort out this,
Thanks in advance
This should be in general (I wish I was a moderator, I'd do it myself)

Hi, Grammarfreak
I tried fake flash, unfortunately no use,
i downloaded clockworkmod recovery and kept in my root of sd card as update.zip

No such file or directory
E: Cant find /sdcard/update.zip,
Installation aborted
Please note whenever i go to recovery screen i can see below in yellow letters
E: Cant open / cache / recovery/command
I feel may be problem with my sdcard?

I see the same errors when I go into recovery, but I can still launch the fake flash version of recovery. Make sure the update.zip is the correct version.
Recovery is failing to mount your SD card. I'm not sure what the issue is
Did you try USB Unbrick?
year!
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RTEY0Q97
get that adb.zip
then you should get some recovery files. Hmmm, how to upload??
pull recovery files to the "files" folder.
just run:
adb push files /
adb shell busybox --install /sbin
adb shell nohup /sbin/recovery &
you could get into recovery and flash rom again.
try searching on youtube
Put the Clockwork Mod update.zip and your backup or another ROM (as zip file) on your SD Card. Then press Volume down + Power Button. Afterwards select Recovery and wait until you see the red triangle. When you see the red triangle press Volume up + Power and wait until the Recovery screen appears. There you select Apply update.zip and your phone should boot into Clockwork Mod Recovery. From there you can flash a new ROM or restore your NANDROID Backup.
heres another way... go download this http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XBAOCSWZ
and find testimage.zip in it. Put it on your phone's sdcard renaming it to LEGEIMG.zip
off the phone and go to boot loader and start back from unrooted eclair...
the link above is form got it form this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=894465
but anyway... since you like e2 recovery so much... you did not do a factory reset... go do that and the loop should go away....
@spiritusrector
THANKS SOO MUCH lol...you just saved me 35 bucks
answer
go on youtube and search for androidreviews123....he has a guide on how to unbrick

[Q] HELP! E:Error in/system/bootmenu/script/recovery.sh HELP !

Okay so im using defy. I flashed MIUI rom before using recovery>stable recovery. And then I reboot. After I reboot, the phone wont start and it just show the MOTOROLA logo.
And then I pulled out my battery and run 2nd innit (press volume down when LED light up). And when I try to re flash ROM and I try to enter Custom Recovery or Stable Recovery, it state below
" E:Error in/system/bootmenu/script/recovery.sh
(Result: No such file or directory) "
Can this be resolved or my defy is bricked ? Argh PLEASE HELP ME PLEASEE
Well... there is always RSDLite... Check General section - sticky threads for details
You might be using old boot menu, try to flash new boot menu and recovery, at least 5.0.3.1+.
You can go back to your original stock using RSD Lite, then root and install 2nd init. After it installs the recovery, download the latest recovery (you can search the dev threads for this).
Hi, same problem here!
I instaled cm9 on my defy. Now when I try to turn it on, can't. Also cant open recovery, cause there is error: "busybox was not created in footfs". And when I open recoveri, it says: "E:Error in /system/bootmenu/script/recovery.sh (result: no such file or directory) Could someone please help me?
Also rsd doesn't recognize my mobile...

[SOLVED]Flashing Rom. Having an issue.

Everytime I go to flash a rom it does this

Please reboot your device...
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log

Then give me the options of reboot main menu wipe cache/dalvik I pick reboot then it reboots to triangle them back in to TWRP.
Any Ideas??
would uncheck the md5 check option - the roms usually don't include it
and don't worry about the error regarding volume misc - the kf don't have a volume misc - just ignore it
if it boots back into twrp use kfu option 1 - bootmode normal
or manually if in twrp:
adb shell idme bootmode 4000
adb reboot

I personally hadn't checked the box for the force md5 check if that's what your talking about. I just checked that and it didn't have a x on it so assuming that's not on. If it matters. I had to do the abd shell fast boot stuff earlier because it was stuck on the triangle. I haven't been able to get it back into a rom at all since. Just TWRP. This is the process I had to do [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22433402&postcount=4"Here.[/URL] However.. windows did not want to format it and it just came as what it was before. I have a stock rooted 6.2.2 rom to put on it.
at the install screen in twrp uncheck (no x) "force md5 check on all zips?"
would try again and tell the error messages
update: the error about sd-ext is also to ignore - it don't have it
the error about the logs could be a bad cache partition - would try "wipe" and then "cache" before you flash
in every case do a clear cache/dalvik at the screen where you return after flashing in the lower left
and set the bootmode to normal (4000) as described above
I figured it out. Thanks for your help. I really do try to figure it out befor I post but then it just happens to click right after I post. The problem was I being slow... didnt set the boot mode back to normal.
great that you got it running !!!

[Q] Stuck in boot loop/recovery, can´t mount sdcard or cashe.

I have a LG G2 d802(Int.) and just updated from cm11 M3 to M4, and decided to wipe data/cashe and re-flash due to some force closing issues.
However, the phone just froze every time i tried. Couldn't do it from recovery or terminal or anything.
E: can´t mount /cashe/recovery/log
E: can´t open /cashe/recovery/log
E: can´t mount /cashe/recovery/last_log
E: can´t open /cashe/recovery/last_log
I think I went on to do something stupid as formatting cashe.
After this I´m stuck in boot loop or i can boot to recovery.
I thought I´d just flash the ROM .zip again(have worked before in similar situations) but now I got a E: can´t mount /sdcard
I cannot adb remount sdcard(internal) or cashe.
I´ve tried to sideload the .zip, but it freezes in "Installing package..."
How can I get out of this?
After reading post after post on forums, I haven't found any answers that helped me so far.

Have you tried flashing back to stock? ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 )
Wiping data/cache should not have caused a boot loop.
Solved!

I didn´t think it would either, but that whas the last thing I remember doing before it happened.
Anyway, I went on and formatted system, cashe, data and sdcard, and then after rebooting recovery, everything worked again and I could install the ROM without any problems.
Should have done that from the start

[a5 2016] failed to mount system_root (device or resource busy) error in twrp

every time i try to wipe or format any partition it comes up with that error, changing fs didnt help nor did the repair file system option. Any help?
Now it is even worse. It wont go into recovery, and when i start it in download mode it doesn't get recognized by the pc or odin
