Hello guys,
About a week ago, Google I/O developers Chest Haase and Dan Sandler had a presentation about the new Android M, which is availible at the Nexus phones (if I recall correctly).
Is there anyone that has ported this to the Samung S4 as a custom ROM? I would love to test it out, but I do not own a Nexus.
Thank you!
Good one, but for your info devs are still busy getting 5.1.1 completely working on s4. Android M is not launched for even nexus device as per my knowledge. They are still in preview phase.

It's exynos man. You need to be patient if you have an exynos nowadays.
yeap, exynos processors are more closed and devs do not like it so much, so you have to wait. probably 2-3 months...
for now use, xposed modules...

If you like custom rom, never buy an exynos devices, i make that mistake last year

Is there any Custom Rom available for our model?
What'll happen if I try to use 900f's Rom?

What can I do?
In my country, here is only Exynos version available.
Can I test any Custom Rom in my 900H model?
Because I never used any android device before.
That's why my curiosity is high.

Simply no. You risk bricking your device. Only flash a rom if it's specifically mentioned compatible with your model.
any news about the progressive of our sm-g900h??

There are now two great Roms available for the G900H in the Android development forum.
A stock cleaned up, rooted, deodex or odex by Alvin.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2791067
A slimmed, de bloated one by Edgar. With an add-on pack.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2732110
Both work wonderfully. I'd say Edgar's is everything that Shohat always wanted to be and never was.
Shower them with thanks please, they deserve them for supporting this device.

I'm just noticing that the US version's are getting nougat recently, but since they had they're beta tests before ours I guess that's why they are getting it now, so should we be looking at the end of February for nougat to be on ours?

Historically the G model was always about one month behind in features and updates, so you can expect a Nougat update in ~2-3 weeks
Thing is, I prefer to wait till most of the bugs have been cleared... Cuz it seems that there are quite a few, people are not very happy with this new release.
Yesterday I decided it wasn't worth the wait and went with Lineage - looks great so far!

To be honest the offical Nougat update is really dissapointing/not worth the waiting time. It´s like going back to B03 in terms of bugs+really bad system performance just with a new android version. I flashed LOS 14.1. Had already completly forgotten how smooth it runs and even more important how much battery it preserves...
Anybody have any updates on when the Nougat update might be available? Are we still 2-3 weeks off?
This is also the question I'm asking.
I really don't want to bother rooting the phone, I've done all that in the past, these days I just want to use the phone.

Seems like A2017G gets nougat at the start of MWC. Can't post links here. Just search for official twitter of ztemobile Germany and see at last post. (You have to click on the picture)

Wonder if that's just Germany, of all EU?
Mike
A2017G is A2017G. When it comes for Germany, you'll be able to flash it with built in updater with no problems.
Still nothing in France.
Still nothing in ireland
Perhaps they are waiting for the official announcement for Google Assistant now being released for 3rd party phones? Perhaps the A2017G is pencilled to get it.

Por otra parte, los visitantes al stand de ZTE en el MWC 17 también podrán disfrutar del teléfono insignia de la compañía, el ZTE AXON 7, con las nuevas actualizaciones a Android Nougat y Google DayDream.
=> MWC should have begun by now. Someone in Barcelona right now to confirm the statement made by ZTE itself? They should be speaking about the G version since it happens in Europe.

What that statement says is that the visitors will be able to see the phone working with Nougat, nothing else. It can be the U version for all we know.
That's why it would be interesting if someone is at MWC and could tell us exactly what we can expect in the coming hours / days / week.
I myself bought both Axon 7 and Daydream viewer just to get my hands on Daydream and I begin to be impatient about a clear statement about Daydream coming on G version of this phone. We read everything on this forum just because nobody knows... So, at the MWC, after ZTE has teased about Daydream on Twitter, we could probably get some clearer answers from there.
