[Q] I want to update to Lollipop! Help needed! - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Guys.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) UAE model. (LTE - Snapdragon 2.27 GHz quad core model)
Baseband Version: N9005XXUGNG1
PDA: N9005XXUGNJ2
CSC: N9005OJVGNH2.
Presently there is no official release of Android Lollipop for this model. I have bought this mobile from Kuwait and now using in India (Unlocked). I have searched on Google and many other Android forums about flashing Lollipop ROM using Odin but I have many doubdts regarding the procedure. I hope you kindly clear my doubts.
1) According to many forums and google search results - We can flash any country's SM-N9005 based ROM and it will not affect usage of the mobile in any way except that my baseband will be changed. Is it correct? If yes will it not really affect my mobile?
2) If I can flash any SM-N9005 based lollipop ROM, which countrie's ROM should I download so that I will not loose any options am having now on 4.4.2 Kitkat like 4G support, no battery drain issues, wifi or bluetooth connectivity problems or any other software related problems.
3) If I have any problems (If I upgrade to lollipop) can I roll back to kitkat again? If so how can I do it?
Please help me with these questions guys. I have checked sammobile site for downloading SM-N9005 based ROM but the site is too slow or the site itslef is restricting in terms of download speeds for free users. On my 20 MBPS connection am getting a download speed of 15 kbps. That really sucks. So can you provide any other alternative links for downloading ROMS (if available)?
Thank You.

Buy premium.
Noting in the world is bug free.
If you can't use Odin read again and again and again. Because even when you download it from sm.com you can see install instructions there. It is everywhere. Or watch YouTube to use Odin. Easiest thing.
You can use open German or any other country for 9005 other than Hong Kong. Same thing different names.
0 answers because it is boring to answer same **** again and again. Search the forums here.

Have you even understood my question?
My problem is not with odin. If you didnt understand my question read my question again and again.
Btw thanks for suggesting premium usage!

<< baseband is modem so you may have no or poor or good network >>

I have searched forum enough to find a suitable post. But none of them directed me exatly what I needed, for the fisrt question. I really can't find a post that says which country's ROM I can flash without any major problems.
If you can give me a link, I will be glad.
Thank you!

[Q] How to identify where your Note is made?

I got my Note from Expansys.ca few weeks ago. I rooted my Note and wants to update it and keep it rooted. What firmware should I download?
PCode:GT-N7000RWAXEU
PDA:N7000XXKKA
PHONE:N7000XXKK5
CSC: N7000XEUKK3
and where can i download the latest firmware? Thanks
I would suggest the EU in your code says its a european rom, therefore id us an open europe from samfirmware or indeed from here.
It doesnt matter to be honest, all the roms are virtually the same, just some are tailored for different networks, im assuming yours is an unlocked Note, so any rom will work fine, all roms regardless of country also have the english language, so go ahead, download and flash, its no big issue what stock rom you use.
If you decide to go custom, PLEASE be aware that guides are on here for a reason, familiarise yourself with the process completely, so many people dont bother to read the posted guides and wind up in big trouble.
Please do some searching in the Note forums.. everything you ask has been asked 100 times before..

SM-N900 Modem/ CSC Country question

I had purchased an unlocked sm-n900 because I figured it might be what would work best with my carrier ( Straight Talk) here in the US. Ive had it for a little less than a month now and have had constant connection issues. Today I saw a thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475714 In here it is mentioned that
Choosing right modem can make a huge difference as it affects reception, data speed, stability, battery life etc.

So I figured I should investigate flashing a new modem and maybe thatll help my situation. The thing is while looking at my phones info I found out the CSC country is Argentina. Does this matter at all? Is this leading to the problems with my phone or is this from the ROM i flashed (CriskeloRom Note III V05) Im just fed up with the constant connection problems and the constant having my phone go into emergency only mode. Where do I go from here? Do I need to flash a different modem, or an entirely different rom? I dont even know if I can flash any of those modems /: Heres some more info I have Latest firmware info

Can anyone please help

Doubt
Hi, good night,
I live in Brazil. Does anyone of this firmwares works for me?
Thanks
No sound in calls after flashing
I flashed this along with CWM 6.0.4.6 yesterday, and when I was making a call this morning I noticed that the in-call sound was gone. Everything else is working, but there's no sound either in the earpiece, headset or speaker.
Anyone know what might be causing this, and how to fix it?
Flashed the nordic countries, and this is the current versions:
AP: I9506XXUCNG3
CP: I9606XXUCNF3
CSC: I9506NEECNG3
Edit: Solved! Disabling some settings in xposed and rebooting fixed it.

I`m exactly in same situation as you, but I`m pretty sure there`s no another method. I decided to wait for month and then root my i9506.

Exactly the same case here too: upgraded my old S3 to a S4 i9506 black edition last week and now waiting a moment until rooting again for the reasons you mentioned before. But I've always had this thing bothering me while waiting for daring to root: what are we waiting for? Something unexpected and bad happening to the new phone? Just wondering, since I'm not even sure what I'm always waiting for with every new phone I buy even though I know perfectly well that I will need the root sooner or later (preferably sooner).
Also updated to latest -NJ -firmware and working just fine, haven't spotted anything wrong at all after a week of heavy usage.
P. S. This reply doesn't belong in Q/A section I believe, but it's apparently forced there because of my low post count...

Note 4 SM-N910C Lollipop Update?

Hi everyone. I know that this question has probably been asked before and there are perhaps a few threads on the same topic so I apologize if this seems repetitive.
I have an unlocked Note 4 the 910C (Exynos 5 Octa) and I have been checking for the Lollipop update - but every time I do it says my software is up to date (KitKat 4.4.4). I am using the device in the United States on T-Mobile Network. This is my first unlocked device.
I know Lollipop has pushed out to 910C devices but I am confused as to which one I should download. There are updates from Poland, Asia and so on. I have tried Kies and through there it also says my device is up to date. With so many different variants it becomes confusing. So I don't know if it hasn't been pushed out yet or if I have to do it manually.
Any help is appreciated and once again thanks for your patience with a relatively newbie member such as myself.

Thank you so much for this. I was able to determine my device is Malaysia SM-N910CZDEXME (Made in Vietnam) and I believe there is Lollipop in the Firmware tool. Much appreciated as I would have never figured this out!

My n910c exynos 5 octa core is xme malaysian carrier and i still have not receive any sort of update. Just today my siblings using n910f got another update of 84mb after 5.1.1. It breaks my heart to write that samsung is really not treating their customers how they should. I do not want to take any chances to brick my phone using odin or other methods of rooting. But certainly ask for insights from the senior members what should i do now? And certainly i am not expecting marshmallow too. Since i doubt all the carriers will get it. Articles from the internet tells me samsung is already working for n910f marshmallow. What about the n910c exynos 5 octa core? Will we ever get any sort of advantage to boost our 64 bit cores to it's potential?

you phone should have at least android 5.0 by now
No still running stock 4.4.4 Kitkat ?
KitKat is better than Lollipop. Trust me.
Yeah but still you know when your siblings brag about their mighty snapdragon you want to show off too.. plus why won't exynos get it?

[Q] Carrier Specific ROMs

Hey Guys!
I have a question regarding stock roms. I've been looking at SamMobile for an official release of Lollipop here in Philippines, the only download I can see is for a local carrier Globe. Will it cause problems if I flash this on my international N9005?
I also want to ask the same question for an S4 I9505, but it's the other way around; the phone is from Globe, network locked, and I am thinking of flashing an international version ROM. Will this cause problems? I know this isn't the right forum but just in case someone would like to answer.
Thank you!

1. Yes, you will have problems with the radios. It's not importat where you live that what CSC have your device. Install this APP and look for your CSC. Go to Sammobile.com, look for your csc, download and flash the latest stock rom for your device via ODIN. (Pic attached)
2. Regarding GT-i9505: Yes, it will cause lose of signal. The best you can do is unlock it by IMEI.

I flashed a rom from Brazil. Everything works great it's just that the bloatware included is annoying. I figured the best option to flasha ROM from my country but the only one with a Lollipop ROM is carrier specific.
Samsung allows users to use roms from their own region interchangeably. In most cases, even globally.
I've never encountered issues with radio or signal loss when flashing different providers and countries in my own region, and I've had thousands of people flash and use all sort of different EU firmwares. (you can find the region on the sticker on the box.)
(US users have different devices with real carrier locks, so those are excluded.)
