Hey,
Downloaded "Clean Lockscreen" and when I activated and reset, my pinpad has completely vanished, I can only swipe to unlock (which brings me to the home screen) or pull up the padlock then the pin pad appears but that isn't very secure /:
I have deactivated the option, reset my phone, nothing. Un-installed the module, nothing.
Anyone had this problem before and know a fix?
Thanks for any help in advance
Wird. Try twrp and clean install of you are familiar with it.

Hi,
My Atom got hung after I installed a software. After soft reset and removing the software, I found that the 'lock device' option on Today screen is lost. It also disappeared on the Today's setting screen.
Is there any way to restore the 'lock device' option. I really don't want to perform a hard reset in order to restore it.
Thanks.
Just go to start-setting-today-items tab-check the device lock box-ok.
that should do it..

The 'device lock' option in 'start-setting-today-items' is disappeared. That's the probem.
Make a full backup than hard reset your device.
Hello guys. I am facing a weird problem/bug. The problem is when I want to use my phone I press power button and it ask me to enter the pin. I enter correctly but then wallpaper shows for 2 to 3 seconds, then again it asks for pin. It keeps asking until I restart my phone (only then the pin works and I can use my phone) and if the phone goes to sleep it again goes to lockscreen loop. I am using Ressurection Remix 6.0 (MM) rom in my Qmobile i9 (replica of Explay Fresh). Kindly help me.
Here's a video of what problem I am facing.

P.S: I can't change pin or turn it off because whenever I want to change it or disable pin my SETTINGS force close. "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped working". It worked fine before but I don't know how it started happening.
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
I can't reset my phone because it asks for pin, when I enter pin it says Settings has stopped working.
Also SPFT is not working. It does not start download. I don't know what is the problem with it because last time I somehow managed to download rom with it. It sucks because it keeps detecting my phone, no downloading start!!
Help.

May be its a strange bug in the ROM. Have you tried to install stock rom through SPFT?
I use Bliss 6.0 and have no such weird issues.

Yes I tried installing stock rom but download doesn't start. I can hear the device plug in sound (windows sound when device plugged in and out) but SPFT doesn't start downloading!!!
Here's the fix of this bug:
I somehow managed to fix this bug. The things I did are:
• Uninstalled Nova Launcher (I had also installed Arrow Launcher and Trebuchet Launcher (stock launcher). So I think that uninstalling the additional launcher (which you don't use) will fix this problem.
• I set root access to "Apps and Adb" from Settings>>Developer Options
• Restart the phone and hurray device works fine!!!
So it means that Launcher is the main issue of this bug. You can try uninstalling all launchers if the problem presists (make sure you don't uninstall the stock one) LOL |
GUYS THIS IS THE TEMPORARY FIX BECAUSE I AM FACING THIS ISSUE AGAIN!
 :good:

Hi! As the title says, I somehow can't use that option.
I had fingerprint scanning for a while but got tired of it so wanted to go back to just swiping but that option is not clickable. I have tried switching to other password methods and that works just fine and I also deleted my fingerprint. But it still doesn't work to use the just swipe option... Any solution? Except factory reset.

Hi,
It could be that you have a device administrator active (Google Device Manger) that requires the screen to be locked by PIN or password. To check and disable it go to Settings> Advanced settings> Security> Device administrators.
Cheers
I tried that now when you answered, but disabling that feature didn't help either..
This option is locked in kernel by Huawei because of encryption policy or credential storage.

What does that mean? And is there a way to bypass that?

It mean, that Huawei try to mentain the security of device. Maybe if you root the phone you can get full acces. You saw if you reset the phone, at start up it's required to insert the pin code. I will analyse this situation.
i have the same problem, the only way to disable the lockscreen code is by skipping it during first setup after resetting the phone
It's possible with a little workaround. Change screenlock to pattern and make a recovery pin -> Turn screen off and on -> Input wrong pattern 5 times -> Wait for the 60 second countdown and press use pin in bottom right corner -> Use your recovery pin to unlock phone and then press home button. That's it.
I contacted Huawei customer service. They told me if I have used encryption before even if you removed it the only way to turn swipe to unlock lockscreen again is to backup your data and factory reset.
Every time i start up the phone i get a short boot animation , then have to input a pin number and after that the phone continues to boot.
I would like to remove this option, but cannot find anything on the phone to reset this, a search on the net also did not help.
If anyone knows how to remove this, thanks !

You just have to remove your Pin in settings, and when you apply a Pin/lock again, you choose 'No' when the interface asks you again for the Startup Pin Hope this helps
Hi everyone,
I don't know if this is a Tab A question, a Samsung question, an Android question, or a Marshmallow question.
I have an older tablet (SM-P350 with stylus) that I haven't been using a lot and I have forgotten the unlock pattern I was using. I am able to log in using the backup PIN, which I do remember, but I have to make several failed attempts to draw the pattern before I am prompted to enter the PIN. I'd like to start using the tablet more, but I don't want to have to do this every time.
I went to the security settings to change my login, but under "Screen lock type," it prompts me for my pattern, and after a failed attempt, it tells me I have to wait 45 minutes to try again! I am not given the option of entering the PIN. So I can't change the pattern OR change the screen lock type without knowing the old pattern! Does anyone know how I can use the backup PIN to do this?
As a last resort, I decided to do a factory reset. When I tried to do so from the menu, it prompted me for the security pattern!
I've tried twice to use the power and volume down buttons to reset, but I don't seem to be able to get to the recovery menu.
Now I can't log in to shut down and try again, because it's telling me I have to wait an hour!
And finally, one additional complicating factory is this: the tablet has been rooted -- not by me, but by the previous owner.
What can I do?
