If you want to buy the MotoCare policy for $129, the only way to get it is to buy the N6 through motorola.com. The cost of replacing the N6 screen is $175. With MotoCare it is $39 deductible so $129 + $39 = $168, which is less than the cost of a single screen replacement. And you get up to 3 claims in 2 years on the MotoCare policy. Not to mention the warranty gets extended by a year so you get a 2 year warranty instead of a 1 year warranty and warranty replacements are deductible free.
The N6 is now $150 off on motorola.com.
It is also $150 off on the Google Play Store. Just FYI
And Amazon...
Motorola will also give you $0 down and 0% financing for 6, 12 or 18 months if you use a Motorola Credit Account. This includes the MotoCare add-on.
And Best Buy.

I only am eligible for the partial upgrade on my line, but I plan to use it and get a new 2-year agreement. Will I be able to get the $100 as well (for a $275 price tag total)?

At what point are you eligible for that $75 off?
I am pretty sure it is after 12 months of service with your current phone and after 24 you get the 150.

Only when you qualify for the full discount, you get the mail-in rebate.
if you are a Premier customer, you can do full upgrades every 12 months.
I assume you would get the full mail in rebate as long as you sign up to another 2 year contract. your phone would just be $200(after MIR) + $75??
Has anyone made any decisions yet on their warranty if they are getting one? I guess my choices are the BB Black Tie Program, VZW's "extended warranty" and SquareTrade. I have never had an experience with any one of them.
VZW requires a monthly payment, about $10 or so. SquareTrade is $129 for 3 years (+ an optional/additional $70 for accident, spill/water, & drop protection) and BB 2 year Black Tie program is about $160 if I recall and the 3 year program is through the roof.
I'm looking to see if anyone's had experience, particularly with SquareTrade, since when I do the math looking at it over a three year time frame, it seems to be the best deal because it's about $5.50 a month over that period.

I have used square trade and have found their service to be great.
Its also has the benefit of being transferable to anyo e you sell the unit to for free.
I went with the 1 year black tie in this case because I plan to trade the unit in at the end of the year when I hope the quad cores are out

I frequent BBY, I bought the 1 year accidental plan.
1) Own Xoom for 11 months
2) in month 12 drop the xoom *woops*
3) Bring in to BBY and ask for store credit
4) Walk out with current gen tablet or $799.99 store credit in your pocket.
seems like a good deal to me.

That's not how it works. They are going to try and fix it, and if they cannot, you'll get store credit towards a new tablet
Squaretrade has a 30% discount today code MARCH) so I was thinking about getting add'l warranty. I've bought warranties from them before but never required their service so idk what they are like when they have to pay. However, my Xoom is still not even shipped yet LOL!
Today, the Moto X has dropped to $130 for Att and Verizon and $150 for Sprint on contract at Costco.com (3rd party called Wireless Advocates), plus those crazy taxes of course (approximately $50, I think). I bought my X for $200 from Costco two weeks ago and called today for a price adjustment, which they offer for 30 days beyond your purchase date.
Not only does Costco offer an amazing 90 day return policy (which I took advantage of to change from the HTC One), include an accessory pack (kinda worthless), and offer free shipping and activation, but there's an additional rebate offer on Sprint's Moto X this month only for a bonus portable battery pack (Motorola brand, I believe). A battery pack could seriously come in handy with our non-removable battery situation.
Costco also offers warranty by Square Trade for $99, which I believe is a good deal, if that appeals to you.
I know the price for a Moto X is lower now at Best Buy and Amazon, but factor in what Costco offers and see if it might work better for you.

Keep in mind after 14 days your in a contract. You can't change phones after the first 14 days without approval from the management. You can return it up to day 90 but your in a contact.

Correct. Sorry if that was unclear. I simply exchanged phones and stayed in my contract.

Just making sure we are all on the same page. Even swapping to a different device after 14 days requires approval though.

I don't recall any approval process. I simply called Costco, told them I had a problem with the call quality of the HTC One, and that I'd like to change to the Moto X. As soon as it became available, they processed the exchange. I had to pay upfront for the new phone and will (hopefully) get the refund when they process my return. Maybe there was an approval in the background somewhere.
Anyone know if this is online only or if it would be the same price in the store?

The only one listed as being available in the warehouses is the ATT model, and the price could be different. Give 'em a call.
Verizon just lowered the maxx to 199, ultra to 99, and mini to 49. This is music to my ears.
I paid 299, plus tax and an upgrade fee. I then was credited 90 for verizon30, then 100 for trading in an old electrify. Total cost 365-100-90=175
We have another line on our account with an old droid razr maxx. Now we can upgrade through comcast, pay 199, get a 100 visa from comcast after a month or two, AND do a moto trade up by mail, get 100 from moto. Total will be about $50!

Currently at the Verizon store picking up the MAXX. That price drop was what I was waiting for.
EDIT: And the dirty deed has been done. It was 540 total for the phone which beats the hell out of $760 for the Note 3.
I was lucky enough to have bought my MAXX less than two weeks ago. I just stopped by Verizon and they did a price adjustment for me

I was way outside the 14 days unfortunately but don't forget to check your credit card features. The card I used for the 90 day purchase protection and extended warranty also just so happened to have a 90 day price matching feature. Be sure to check the card you used and see if it has a price matching feature too. Citi/Amex/Chase all have cards that do.
The phone is now on sale through Verizon and if you paid full price you can call and get a price adjustment. I paid $250 for my 64gb BN that I bought on December 4th, and just got a credit for $125.
This is the number I called 1 800 922 0204. You need to speak to billing, I was on hold for about 20 minutes, but that's well worth it for $125.
Hope this helps.
Think this will work for those that purchased on release?

No.
if you used the edge program they will deduct 125 from the cost shorten the payments
Confirmed.. just got $100 refund on my Turbo 32GB.
I got my turbo on November 5th and tried calling in. They couldn't give me the full refund of $100 but did give me $40. I'll take it
edge discount
So they will give you $125 off if you are under edge? Really?
No. I tried and they wouldn't give me a credit.
