Guys, wanted to ask you after my phone is charged the led diode is still orange (does not get green). If it is charged when i remove charger and insert it again it gets green. But, never gets green after phone is charged. I am using Android 4.4.4 KitKat by tytung, but i used Android 4.2.2 and it was same. So what is the problem?

Hey guys, I have a Optimus San Francisco (Portuguese version of the ZTE Blade) and I've been having some serious problems with its battery.
Ever since I rooted it and flashed some custom ROMs, I have never been able to properly calibrate the battery. No matter if I use the Battery Calibration app or Clockwork Mod, the phone will simply NOT charge the battery to 100%. It will stop at 66% or some other random number. In the (very) rare occasions that I did get it up to 100%, the issues remained.
No matter what I try, the problem persists. I bought a new battery from ebay (just arrived, today) and, to eliminate any possible source, flashed a new ROM (I started on SS RLS5, went to CM7.1 Beta, CM7 Stable, and am now on GLS beta 22).
Just like an hour ago or something I flashed GLS beta 22, wiped user and cache partitions and wiped battery stats. I put the new battery in (was about empty), it booted and was at 1%. I connected it to the charger (remember, no batterystats.bin) and it didn't go past 1%. Then, it powered off. Right now it's supposedly charging while powered off, with the red LED.
Any ideas? Seriously, I haven't been able to use this phone on day-to-day basis for MONTHS.
Might be that your hw is faulty. Is the led working? The led should change from red to green when the charge is over 90%.
Here are the battery calibration steps you could still try:
1.Connect the phone to the charger with the phone powered on, and allow the phone to charge until the notification LED is green, indicating the device is fully charged.
2.Disconnect the phone from the charger, and power it off.
3.Reconnect the phone to the charger with the phone powered off, and allow the phone to charge until the notification LED is green.
4.Disconnect the phone from the charger and power it on.
5.Once the phone is powered completely on, power it off again and reconnect it to the charger until the notification LED is green.
6.Disconnect the phone, power it on in clockwork recovery, and wipe batt stats. You need to use this sequence only once.
Yes, while tinkering with this new ROM I tried a "LED test" and the LED did flash red and green.
I've seen those instructions and the problem is, the battery percentage gets stuck at a certain level and will not get past that. So, the LED is always red.
Apparently I solved the problem by using another USB cable and my set top box's USB. Looks like the problem was in ZTE's charger.
I just got the Huawei IDEOS X5. Once the battery ran low, I plugged it to the charger. The problem is that the Led Status Indicator (above the screen on the front of the phone) doesn't become orange (it is green). According to the instructions this Led should be orange while the charge is in progress, and become green once the phone is fully charged. This behavior does not follow the info described in the manual of the phone.
Has anyone had the same problem? Do you know why this is happening? Should I return the phone back to the seller?
Thanks
khtc
Led burns green, when the battery is above 90% or so. Under that should be orange. Sometimes when you plug in the charger, it takes time even to start charging (Led is green then). I'd say try to observe more
I thought the same when I first start charging my device, but when the device was fully charged I realized that the led(which seems to me green) wasn't.
The orange color of the led it's not so orange(like was on other devices) but is more close to green(again the green on other devices). On ideos the the green led it's not so light and yellowish, it's more deep like trees green.
And what sanpsa says happens also after 90%
Thank you guys. You were 100% right both!
Dunno, whether it depends of soft or not, but when battery below 15% (or 10%) LED should be red. For mine device it's so.

It is possible to make a "mod" that can turn led at 100% charging?
I don't understand why all rooms have this option to turn white led (or other collors) during charge? and no one have green (or other collors to) led after full charge, like old phones?
Personally I don't see any use in this option to stay on white led 3 hours during charge and always verify manualy phone at the end of ~ 3 H to see if battery is charged.
?? My led changes to green when the phone is charged ...
Defy+ with latest quarx and no special modifications
Sent from my MB526 using xda app-developers app
I am on CM7.2.0-20121107.1043-SKANKY-Defyplus and i don't have green led on full charge and before i was on Ms2Ginger 4.0 and CM9 and CM10 befor 2ndboot
Is any solution to have green led on kang/cherry by Fuzz_?
I just bought my galaxy s5, upgraded from the iphone 5, and so far I love my new galaxy. Just a quick question, with the phone OFF and plugged in it lights up green from the charge port on the screen and the battery charge indicator is green also with the percentage that the phone is charged. Is it possible to change this to orange?
Just curious as my business colors are Orange and Black, so orange would be perfect. I suppose the phone would have to be rooted or a custom rom?
Any way to change the color ?
Heyas guys,
I had my N4 on charge overnight, woke up to the alarm i set but as soon as i touched my phone it turned off and wouldn't turn on again.
on charge it showed a steady red LED. i realised that the charging cable had its D+ and V+ (Green and Red wires) broken so i assumed the battery had just reversed its flow of current and drained.
I tried all the button combos to no avail, so i ordered a NEW battery and replaced it just then.
still no boot, steady red LED on charge.
Any Solutions? (i've searched)
and any way of getting the data off somehow?
thanks!
