Galaxy S4 as DSLR Remote

Hi guys,
Did anyone had a positive experience with Galaxy S4 as a DSLR remote controller (since S4 has IR)?
I have tried DSLR Remote from Google Play on my i9505 paired with a Canon 450D and couldn't make it work.
Thanks.
DSLR Remote app works on my s4 with nikon.:good:

[Q] Audio Latency

Hi everybody! Please someone could help me with this: well, when I was a Iphone user, I used to insert my guitar plug into a guitar rig devidc and play the guitar with very low latency times, including effects processing in "real time". Then the Galaxy become more interesting than IPhones, and I changed to Galaxy S3, then to Galaxy S4 and finally to Galaxy S5. As much as I Know, the latency issue is a matter of software. Does Anyone in the forum knows if the android team is already working on it? Kit Kat 4.4.2 have any improvement?

[Q] Does HDR in Google Camera App work on non-TW ROMs?

Hi,
I'm currently on the Galaxy S4 i9505 running a ported GPE ROM. Now it's time to upgrade, and since the new Nexus 5 is a bit too big for my tastes, I looking at alternatives.
One pf those is the Galaxy S5 LTE+ (Snapdragon 805, 2GB RAM).
One issue with the S4 is, that any ROM apart from TW or GPE kills HDR functionality. This appears to be unfixable. HDR shots always appear as just uniform gray in Google Camera
How does the S5 do here? Can I flash CM and still use all features in Google Camera properly? Any other problems? I won't be using TW, so working GPE (not on the S5 sadly) or CM ROMs are essential for me.
Thanks.

Neither has a camera. As far as I know, only one of the older Samsung Gears has a camera, not the latest. However, you can use your smartwatch to control your phone's camera with 3rd party apps.
The camera is not equiped on these 2 watches.
As @CrankyBear said, you can find camera app which uses android wear to control the phone camera remotely, like Google Camera.

Samsung ISOCELL vs Sony IMX240 for video rec

I am trying to establish which is those two is best choice overall, in terms of video recording under various conditions. Primariry day shooting, but also in cases with limited light. The ISOCELL is the one founf in the original S5 (G900F) whilst the Sony sensor has appeared in the latest 805 SnapDragon equipped S5 Plus (G901F). I am aware of the improved performance, due to the revised hardware of the G901F over the older S5, but I am mostly interested in using the phone heavily as a camera shooter.
I have read alot around those two different sensors e.g. here (ISOCELL), here (IMX), here (IMX) and here (ISOCELL vs others). But I am still confused at to which of the two is the best choice, based on what I mentioned above. The G900F or the G901F?
Also, I am aware that it's not all about the sensor, but there are other factors to it too e.g. management software. Since the G900F with the ISOCELL has been around more than the Sony-equipped S5 Plus, I guess it's more 'matured' now. Meaning that there might be some 'room for improvement' for the S5 Plus e.g. future firmware updates. Who knows..
Based on what we got now, Is there any quality review or head to head comparison of just those two sensors that I can draw more conclusions from?
