So after rooting and cleaning up some stuff I managed to either delete or disable Scrapbook so now Smart Select with the s pen doesn't work. The other 3 still do. Can someone tell me where to download and how to install just scrapbook? I know there's a thread here with all the note 4 apps bit the download page doesn't work any more. I just need the scrapbook app and how to install it. Can someone point me in the right direction or maybe make a zip or something? I have the us cellular version rooted with twrp if that matters. Thanks so much for any and all help.

You can also use root explorer.

root/system/app
thank guys... i move the file to sd card, used application installer and install the apk. everything work well now..
Just wanna thank too as I just accidentally deleted it after flashing my phone.
Thanks.
So I am debloating an MF3 ROM and noticed one thing which I can't find an answer to.
There are three APK files which I am not sure what they do and wanted to know if anyone had any insight what they do and if they can be deleted.
KeyguardBackupRestore.apk
KeyguardWidget.apk
ELMAgent.apk
I've looked and noticed those files are on a few debloating lists, but I can't find what they actually do. I'd hate to delete them and find out they were more important that I suspected.
You can go into the APP manager in the phone and disable them. ELMAgent will auto restart after you stop it, but the Keyguard will stay OFF when you stop the process.
Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.
Just freeze them for now. You can always delete later on once you are positive there are no adverse affects, but it's not necessary

Have you made a nandroid? Before you started deleting things. Also try system app remover, it'll let you know what's safe and not safe.

Well I'm actually working with the ZIP archive of the MF3 firmware which is already rooted, so I can delete or add files and just reflash.
I find freezing apps a waste of time. If I know I don't need them, I delete them from the ROM files before I flash it in recovery. I don't make backups either since It only takes me about 15 minutes to re-download and reset up the phone after re-flashing.
So as it stands, I am working on trimming down a few more files before I reflash a new revision of the ROM I am working on, and I think those are the last 3 files I need an explanation on before I delete them,
Like I said, those files are on almost all the debloat lists that are floating around for the GS4, unfortunately they just don't say that those files are.
Thanks for the reply's guys.
Hi everyone,
I'm encountering real problems trying to flash Action Launcher 3 as a system app. I want to find a way to do it without having to reinstall it every update.
Currently running the last update of LAOS 14.1. I think some kinda of flashable zip could be a solution, but I'm not able to find one that works.
Let me know.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Now it is called "Action Launcher: Pixel Edition", not "Action Launcher 3" anymore.
If anyone is still wondering, I made a zip with the proper file to keep whatever application you want after every system update! (It should work also with bootlogo or boot animation). If anyone is interested, I'd like to build some more flexible application to do this! Let me know.
To start I have looked through pages and pages of posts to find info unless right under my nose. Trying to save others new to this like me some time and start seen double Late nights
How I Rooted my DM98 was via Kingo Root from there web page clicked on Android download link kingoapp.com
Important go to Settings Security tick Unkown sources and untick Verify apps before download.
This will go to download folder that will open and once downloaded select to launch this may take 10-15min to complete .
It will add in Super User also and ask to install BusyBox. I wold also advise install from play store ROM Toolbox lite for at the very least root browser access.
I have read others have rooted with king root and from advise is a battery drain and not easy to undo and most upgrade to SuperSu . But as iv'e seen this advise before root have done above instead hope this helps someone.

Useful post
My advice is not to try and remove any of the FunOS apps
If I remember correctly removing app files resulted in FunOS Not loading correct As if apps were part of OS and mot just an add-on And taking lengthy workarounds to use watch once removed
Hello new here and while I have done some searches I am not quite finding what I am looking for which is maybe because I am not asking the right questions or searching for the right terms so hopefully someone can direct me to the right place!
I have an old Galaxy Grand Prime Sm-G530W running Android 5.1.1. It has 8gb storage and I would like to maybe remove some of the apps that I wont use, are not useful or are just bloatware.
However I am not sure what apps are what and which one I should avoid removing?
The phone will be used primary to make calls, will not be on a data and only use free wifi hotspot and the wife from my home.
I would like to maybe keep some kind of google maps ability, I do not want chrome but rather would use firefox along with ad blockers etc I know work well for me on FF.
I have have done some research but not a phone expert by far so I am not sure I want to root my phone, install custom roms. I read something about remove bloatware via "remove the pre installed apps using ADB commands" however figured I get some tips advice from people that know what they are talking about.
Ideally it would be great if there was some kind of program I can just plug into from my PC or some such that allows me to then simply remove the samsung and google bloat or unwanted programs so I could gain more room for apps I do want.
Right now after factory reset it uses like 3.50GB out of 8gb.
is there any Debloat program I can use on it out there?

Hello member of this small community, well the best way to remove bloatware is by root, the process is relatively simple.
1) Download the twrp recovery (.tar) belonging to the model you have.
2) Install it through Odin
3) Install Magisk Manager
With this done you can use applications such as root uninstaller, another alternative is to look if there is a custom rom for your model, but do not expect much as many roms have been abandoned and only a new project is kept alive, if the current rom does not present problems in performance, I recommend you leave it alone and start removing junk apps, another recommendation is to install SD maid, a great app for cleaning junk content of the phone.
