I flashed the system.tar and kernel.tar to my phone to put it back to stock from the link above.... How did you end up fixing your problem?
Thanks ,
Tyler
You may have to do a mbr restoration as well. You can find adryanlyne's post for that. with the lagfix repair.
This happened to me aswell. This is how to fix it.
If your internal memory is set to 0.00 thats exactly what the issue is.
Download Voodoo Uninstaller to sdcard
To use the uninstaller, DO NOT USE ROM MANAGER!
1. Boot clockwork, and apply the uninstaller.
*You can do this by holding the volume up and down button when turning on phone you will then be in the stock recovery screen.
*Execute the Update.zip and then you will be in CW recovery
* then find the uninstaller file (above) that you downloaded to your sdcard
2. Go to the advanced menu and choose reboot recovery.
3. Wipe data from the stock recovery screen. Apply the update.zip to enter CWM. Wipe data from CW recovery.
4. Reboot phone.
Phone buttons differ in recoveries.
IN Stock Recovery
* use the home button to execute an action.
IN CWM Recovery
* use the power button to apply an action.
The volume up and down changes selection for both recoveries

To fix mine, I applied the Update.zip from the previous ROM I was using. Always a good idea to keep one just in case.
I was getting fed up with touchwiz and a few other things and decided to flash my phone.
I was trying exynos 7.1.5.
SO as per instructions I flashed CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_KF2-v4.0-CWM4.tar with odin.
And it seemed ok, booted into os, used CWM to load custom rom.
Put the rom on the root of internal sd card.
rebooted into cwm and flash seemed to go ok.
Now it's just playing the startup chime and looping the boot animation, left it running for twenty mins.
When I try to start cwm (vol down, power, menu) to get the original rom back it is stuck in "odin mode" and I can't access any menus to re-flash.
If I plug it in it connects and I can access it and reflash with odin. but I'm still unable to access anything to fix the rom.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Well you have forgotten to flash base sytem first. Exynos 3.5
read, read, read....
Just start over m8.
HOW TO INSTALL EXYNOS: (WIPE)
1. First of all download Exynos Base System: (this will wipe all your data)
2. Download EXYNOS Update
3. Put those files in your internal SD
3. Flash from CWM -> EXYNOS3.X_Base_System.zip (base system)
4. Let the system boot up until you see the homescreen
5. Put the phone in RECOVERY MODE
6. Flash from CWM -> ExynosX.X_update.zip
7. Reboot and enjoy
How to update from older Exynos System:
1. Download Exynos Update
2. Put the zip in your internal SD
3. Put the phone in RECOVERY MODE
4. Flash from CWM -> ExynosX.X_update.zip
5. Reboot and enjoy
All downloads here
I cant access anything to put the base xenos on.
I can't access cwm to flash rom
The only thing I seem to be able to do is load odin.
Is there anyway to use odin to flash a rom?
I get ding-a-ling of a device being plugged in when I connect the phone, and the drives appear, but I can't drop the 3.5 zip file in, the flash drives appear but can't be connected to. And if I could put the zip files in the internal card, I can't access cwm to change the rom.
THanks btw
Find different rom that is Odin flashable. Flash to this one and than start over.

I've seen instructions for installing custom ROM's where you bring up the ROM file inside Odin (PDA area),
then you place the cell in Download mode, then you hit the [Start] button.
Instead of doing this, why can't you place the ROM files onto the SD card, then use Recovery mode to install them from there?
Thanks!

I only used Odin to root my device. After setting up a custom recovery, I've downloaded all my ROMs to the SD card and flashed them from there. Since you're (hopefully making and) putting your nandroid backup on the SD card, it makes it very easy to recover from an accident.
The method I used was from a Youtube video where the guy used Odin to root, and then GooManager to install TWRP. I've got a custom ROM on my phone and haven't looked back.
Good luck and have fun,
-Jeff
you need a custom recovery, I prefer TWRP, as stated above you can get it through goomanager which is available from the play store. after installing the recovery you can download any rom you want to your pc, transfer it to your phone (either phone storage or external SD) after that go into recovery mode on the phone (hold volume UP home button and power button down at the same time, when you see the Samsung logo, let off all buttons) at this point you can find the rom you transferred, and flash, before flashing anything you will want to do a nandroid backup, then do a full wipe before flashing the rom. after the rom is installed you can go into recovery through the power menu. good luck!

So a couple of questions then:
1: You cannot install a ROM using stock recovery?
2: What's included in an nandroid backup?
I'm assuming it includes the modem/radio files, yes?

1. no, you will need either TWRP ot CWM
2. backs up all your data, etc, so yes everything gets backed up

You use Odin to flash .tar files, which reverts your phone back to stock, unrooted factory condition.
Once you've rooted the phone, you use a custom recovery to install unsigned .zip files, which will generally be custom roms and/or mods.
Stock recovery will only install .zip files that are signed by the manufacturer, such as OTA updates and....not much else. If your phone is rooted, you have absolutely no use for stock recovery.
A Nandroid backup will usually include the boot image, system files, and user apps & data. I use TWRP, which also gives you the option to back up your recovery and EFS partition (telephony data). In most cases, you only need to make a backup of boot, system, and data.
Hope this helps.

Hi. I attempted this installation this morning. I was able to install CWM Recovery using ROM Manager. I then installed the latest Build found in this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2459171. The installation proceeded as shown in the video, but when I reboot the phone after installation, I see the LG logo, and then the word ANDROID on the screen and nothing further. I can still get into CWM recovery by pressing Menu, Vol - and the power button, but the phone does not boot past the ANDROID screen. I ran the installation a second time, but the same result. Can anyone help?

I assume you are coming from stock rom as you just installed CWM, so make sure you are using the STANDARD version, from the cyanoid page and follow this :
boot to recovery
go to mounts and storage
mount usb
this will allow you to move the correct version of the rom to the sd card, if it is not already,
when finished putting the rom on the sd card, unmount usb
now go back to the main menu
wipe data factory reset
wipe cache
go to advanced
wipe dalvik
go back
go to mounts and storage
format system
go back to main menu
install zip from sd card
choose zip from sd card
go to the rom you put on the card
select yes to continue
wait for finish
reboot
If it gets stuck again pull out the battery, wait a few seconds, put it back in, boot to recovery and do everything from install zip from sd card again and see what happens
let me know if it works or not or if your cwm recovery options vary from those i listed and i can help further

Hi linuxxxx
Sorry, I can't post in the Cyanoid ROM thread, I don't have enough posts on this site, so it is not allowed. I was able to get this to work though following bluerichblue's advice above. There is one remaining issue. I cannot enter any APN settings. When I enter those, and select the save option, nothing is saved and the system returns to a blank APN list screen. You previously suggested that this may be a problem with the SIM? However, I have used different SIMs with the same result. Also, while my LG Optimus L3 was running on the Stock Rom, this function worked and I was able to setup APNs. Can you help?

please bro could u tell me more about this way
First, go to the link provided https://samsungodin.com/ I would download V310.6 personally.. It must be run in a Windows Enviorment IE. Win 7, Win 10 etc. Put you phone into download mode Volume down, home button, the power button all at the same time. Plug your USB cable into a USB port on your computer, and plug in your phone. Unzip Odin, then open and right click Icon, and run as administrator.. Put TWRP. zip in the AP slot. Under options in Odin uncheck reboot and reset, hit the start. When it says pass, unplug your phone, pull battery. But battery back in. Then hold Volume up, home, and the power button, and your phone will start in TWRP recovery.

TWRP is the custom recovery you flash in Odin, to replace stock recovery. You need that to install custom roms and mods.
Go to this link https://dl.twrp.me/klte/ I would download 3.0.2-1-ktle.img.tar. to your desktop. Open up Odin uncheck reset, and reboot. Place phone in download mode Volume down+home+power. Open up Odin choose AP find your file and insert, then hit start. When done pull battery, but battery back in then Volume up+Home+Power and you will boot into recovery.

Flash TWRP first in Odin.. Then what ever Rom you use, will already have root (some dev's might require you to install root as well separate from the ROM you use).. Put the ROM of your choice on your External SD card. Go to recovery wipe cache dalvik/cache, system, data, internal storage. This is why you but the ROM of your choice on a External sd card, because you will wipe the internal storage. Flash ROM and reboot.. Now of course follow the dev's install instructions, as you might have to do something different. But that is usually the normal process to flash a custom ROM.

If you do not use those app, I just uninstall them period, through Titanium Back Up and Root.. Better yet you really should try flashing a custom rom, you won't have all that garbage.. I'm using this one
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/unified-development/rom-crdroid-t2860894
It runs great.. Give me a minute, I going to upload the files you need, so you do not have to go through the trouble of downloading them..

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ofmVfO5pBu7r3tq_qD620WiUSwdIMAVG/view?usp=sharing
Put all three files on your external sd card.. Do a full wipe, data, system, cache, delvik/cache
1) Install the rom first (do not reboot yet)
2) Install gapps (do not reboot yet)
3) Then install SuperSu- reboot, and set up normal.
Be sure to give proper credit to the crdroid team..
