More details needed I think.
Has it EVER worked? (i.e. did you just get the phone and it failed?) (just in case "working on Android 5" means that is what is on the phone and not that it WAS working on v5 )
What was the last thing you did before it stopped?
What firmware or ROM are you using?

This is sounding like hardware issues. Last thing to try would be download and install fresh version of your firmware, just in case something in your set up has become corrupted.

N9005 frequent no register on network, mismatch IMEI

Hello all
I got my N9005 from UAE from a "Souq.com" website apparently with no warranty, my problem was that frequently the mobile give me "Not register on network" needing to search for a network once or even for 3 or 4 times to work this happened in UAE and when I traveled back to Egypt on two network operators, this issue happened alot on Stock Android 4.3, I read that issue been fixed on Kitkat, so I've wiped all data and flashed Polish 4.4 Stock rom
The problem keep occurring with lower rate but still there
once thing I heard that these handsets "European models by the way" been locked and unlocked by this website
I found that the imei from *#06# mismatches the imei on the back of the phone
So what should I do for those two issues?

Maybe its a refurbihsed device with a new motherboard and thus a new IMEI number than printed on the box.

maybe it is, how can you check your imei is refurbished or brand new?
and what about the not registered on network issue?
any ideas?
Look for and install Phone Info on Play and run the refurbishment check in settings.

No, its in the Phone Info app in the settings menu.
For the connection problem it would help if you flashed the correct stock rom with Odin for your country/region from here www.sammobile.com/firmwares/2/. Though there are no roms for the Middle East because the N9005 isn`t beeing sold there.

Here is Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo
Regarding not-registered issue, it may be due to your bad SIM card, not always the phone's problem.
You can try to put the SIM card into another phone and see if the problem still persists?
And put another 'good' SIM card to your Note 3 and see if the problem happens?

I've used Phone INFO ★Samsung★ application
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo
it said the mobile seem to be refurbished
in the Settings --> about device ---> status
nothing tell if the handset is refurbished
for the ROM it is a polish one (the first to have an official Kitkat update)
the phone is not rooted

[Q] G900F Network registration problem after flashing

Hi I have international version of S5 G900F. I flashed the phone with UK BTU stock rom. Now the problem is I cannot connect to the Network.
I tried going to Settings->More Networks -> Network Operators -> Select automatically . It took 5-10 mins to search but cannot connect.
Sim is not locked as it was working before I flashed the stock rom. also I read somewhere in internet that once the phone is region unlocked, it is permanently unlocked to use any other country sim. I don't know the original region of my phone but I bought it in Uk from 3rd party dealer not from any carrier.
I can think of two thing at the moment. It should be either regional locked again, but it does not prompt any thing to activate or enter pin or anything like that. or it should be wrong modem.
Is there a way to find if the phone is region locked ?
and is there a way to find correct region of the phone ?
the label on the box was removed so I cannot find from the box as well.
Thanks in advance.
I still haven't fixed this problem. Could someone suggest how to fix?
I've attached some screenshots with my phone info.
first image shows NETWORK:UNBLOCKED and IMEI Certi: PASS
-> I think this means, the phone is not blocked by network, and IMEI certificate has passed so it's not stolen or lost claimed phone.
another screenshot is the Firmware and CSC code/country information,
-> this means, this phone is build to sell in UK, so UK sim should unlock the regional lock.
Also the phone was working fine before I installed stock rom which I dowloaded from sammobile.
in the sceenshot, one of the network is connected but it says emergency call only because it cannot register to the network.
It is not sim lock also, because when I put T-mobile sim it does not ask for pin to unlock also.
what is wrong here. any idea guys? xda supposed to be the biggest android forum and samsung s5 is one of the most popular phone at the moment, isn't there anyone who have similar problem and solved? or atleast give some reason this cannot be fixed at all.
does the TMobile sim work? does it register with the network? If yes, then call the provider (of the other sim) and ask what's going on. Maybe you have a broken sim?

I've tried with Orange sim, and it still cannot register to the network. When I put the orange sim, it pop up a dialogbox asking to choose a network provider, there was two options, T-mobile and orange. So it is detecting the sim, but it cannot register.
And also, I tried my sim in another phone, and my sim works in another phone without any problem.
Did you try to flash the firmware again, and then after that restore factory defaults?

Yes I did, still it didn't work. I emailed samsung customer service with the problem, and they asked me to restore factory defaults.
I did that again but didn't work.
I tried one custom ROM as well. same problem in that rom.
You're rooted? If yes then there might be problem with the modem part of the ROM, can you install the official one part ROM and try with that?

I've installed stock rom several times, and several different versions( from here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=SM-G900F&pcode=0 ). Rooted several times, installed modem.bin files several times from many custom rom/ stock rom. None of them worked. I tried installing modem.bin when not rooted as well. And all the attempt failed.
I did everything I could possibly think of , Then I posted the question in the forum.
You have the IMEI ??!? Or it is lost?? Then only per efs-backup…
Or sim is broken…

Sry XanoZuke, I could not do anything to fix this, so I returned the phone and got another handset. I now have Exynos Octa-core version. Found snapdragon version is more power efficient. My phone gets heated very quickly.

Don't worry, I found out that the motherboard was water damaged (the irony of life....), so a bought an LG G3.
Regarding the Exynos chip, I'm never buying anything exynos ever again. The performance is not as solid as Snapdragon and it gets heated really fast. Still, thanks for your reply! ?

Sorry i end up selling the phone as is..
Same deal
My g900f has no mobile services sims fine
I have the same problem.
Cannot connect to network after flashing new ROM. Since then I tried about 10 different original roms and couple custom roms. Number of different MODEMs and BOOTLOADERs but with no joy. SIM card works fine in different phone.
Also I tried to load different CERT files and QCN with Z3X Box but that didn't help either.
I've tried *#0011# command here are results:
with LTE/WCDMA/GSM auto-connect:
imgur.com/i69HCBM
with WCDMA only:
imgur.com/QPbvKHG
and GSM only:
imgur.com/8InhQWQ
It seems that GSM is not working at all.
At this stage I run out of ideas and probably gonna get rid of the phone as it is or use it as pimped-out ipod touch
(sorry for messed up links but I can't post to outside sites yet)

[Q] Nexus 4 Emergency calls only

My nexus 4 was working fine like 1 year untill we cut off our mobile carrier ,
now , when we enabled the carrier back on (sorry for my bad English , I hope u'll understand me)
the nexus 4 seems to recognize the sim since it writes : EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY | MY CARRIER (012 MOBILE)
but i cant get it to work with the sim , the sim works perfect on my moms iphone so its not a problem with the sim .
the sim wasnt cut or anything . and it was working just fine for 1 year . I tried flashing google stock 4.4.4 with a toolkit ,
didnt work . Still getting the same EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY | MY CARRIER (012 MOBILE)
and when i tried to select my carrier manually ,
I got the cannot connect to this network . try again later massage .
I honestly tried everything I know of .
Im starting to think its a problem with the device and not the operating system .
since i flashed a brand new stock image and it didn't work !

I don't think your sim is locked. Check out this thread. You can try flashing a different ROM along with updated radio. If all else fails try another sim card.
check you imei number on the phone with a telecommunication website in your country, a friends phone had this similar issue, it it was locked from the networks in the country due to the contract not being fulfilled so they blacklisted permanently to prevent him from using it

SM-G935FD wont connect to network/carrier after routing to Nougat 7.0 with odin

Please someone help me, i was updating my s7 edge duos to 7.0 after that i cannot join network, wifi works well and got signal also but cant connect for some reason shows Emergency Calls Only i tried many roms and with every single i got no network, nothing helps.. when i check dial 06# my both imeis are OK and nothing is wrong with it..
maybe i flashed wrong modem or something and how can i repair it now? please help
Provide more details of your phone , are you using original stock rom ? Or rooted custom rom? You may try changing sim , or wiping cache partition in recovery , if that doesnt work only option is factory reset, also tell if your update was successful without errors ? And use the same firmware as your current region , and also check if your phone is carrier locked , then you need to unlock it to work or use the same carrier firmware.

Hi Bachimpek
Seems like you need to patch your certificate , try to downgrade to 6.0.1 and see if phone can connect to network if that doesnt work then you need to patch your certificate with a box like "z3x" or "octipus"

So , you want to downgrade ? Just download a complete firmware file with all files included and flash it with odin, it will downgrade , if it solves the problem , maybe stay with it instead of nougat.

Don't seems so , you need to repair it in z3x or octoplus box , but if network was working well before update to nougat , it should work when you downgraded again to 6.0.1 , so i guess its some certificate issue , but you may check some setting and try to search networks manually and try changing network type to 3g/2g , 3g only , 2g only. Also try checking different sim cards. If it did'nt fix then you have to repair by box. Good luck

Hello, same problem samsung s7 edge SM-G935FD. restarted my phone and no network. My region is Lithuania and i cant find firmware of my country, what to do ?

N9005 no network

I replaced my motherboard and flashed the latest stock firmware from Samsung for the N9005. After it booted it didn't had any network connection. WiFi and Bluetooth work fine though.
I tested network connection with my old motherboard and it works fine. I already tried this, but it didn't change anything: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/help/galaxy-note-3-sm-n9005-sim-network-t3756825
I also tried different SIM-cards in the Note 3 but it didn't work.
Any suggestions?

What do you mean exactly? The IMEI is different from the original one, right?
EDIT: The Phone INFO Samsung app says there are no available CSC Codes and the IMEI is gone. However, the Mobile Operator number is recognised in the Phone INFO app.
