Re: Just received a new jellybean firmware upgrade 25th may
I've had jellybean for about a month now.. And today just received a 218.50 MB update. The whole update took about 30 mins... See below photo.. It reads stability and other improvements etc.... Does anyone know what exactly are the improvements? I'm hoping my battery life will be better. I'm about to wipe my cache. It's not 5.1. My model 9010c I'm based in Thailand.
Sorry if this is a duplicate
Jellybean? You mean KitKat, the Note 4 shipped with 4.4.4 KitKat not 4.1-4.3 Jellybean
No it was an upgrade from the jellybean I received about a month ago.
Don't install, there are rumors that a brand-new Froyo update will be rolled out very very soon! Go, Samsung, go!

Nothing about end of January?!
End of January only in Polonia ?

no matter if it come to the end of junary, i prefere huawei to take the very last version of lollipop because google patch the batterie drain issue of the first version of lollipop.

Right... No Hurry....
The way it is right now on my other devices, I hope Huawei takes his time and makes it for it properly.
I have Lollipop on my Nexus 5 but I dont like it too much. It has trouble in the duration of the battery and there are several features that are not going as expected. I wanted to go back to 4.4. but you can not!
Once installed, you can't return easily.
I recommend patience and see how this Huawei version works!

Sorry for offtopic but nexus is the easiest device to go back to 4.4.4!! Just download the factory image from Google and install via ADB. Yes it will wipe your device, but its possible. Try to downgrade a Samsung phone...
Ontopic: i tried to find the facebook posts from huawei where they say "its coming (soon ™)". I cant find them!
Sorry but there wont be a lollipop Rom from huawei in the next weeks... CM or slimrom would be nice.
Is this for real?

Yes, all tab 4 versions will get 5.0.2 update. Just wait for it, i know samsung has kept it "pending" for a month without information.

It means they're still working on it, getting rid of bugs and such. Nobody on this forum has a damn clue when the update will be released, literally everyone is merely speculating. Only Samsung knows for sure and they sure aren't telling

I was previously on 5.0.2 on my UK S6 Edge sim free and yesterday I got this 5.1.1 update.
No idea if it's the standard 5.1.1 or the updated one that fixes the memory and battery leaks.

That's BOGB, so the latest 5.1.1.
Too early to say for sure if this fixes all my issues with my S6E but, after 24 hours running it, it does seem better than any of the other S6E builds I've used.

Dave

That's cool. It's difficult for me to say as I never got the update to the first 5.1.1 and was stuck on 5.0.2 and only yesterday did i get the update to 5.1.1
But so far battery life seems to be on par with 5.0.2 and I do notice that unlocking the lock screen and going into the home screen seems a tad faster.
is it worth to loose root? cos i'm still on 5.02 with Root Exploit and i use Titanium Backup a lot
Battery seems to be better on mine since the update

Just a question to participators, what version of Android were you all on prior to the update..I'm trying to get my head around this update as there's another news that Samsung has released another update of about 120mb in France...

They've promised it monthly since May...
I'll believe it when it happens.
Having said that the B317 is pretty good. Haven't found any bugs so far.
From facebook : For the Mate 7, the Lollipop can be updated on Sep (via SD card), in October you can get the OTA updating notice via wifi
Damn spoke too soon.
Am back to KitKat. Was getting a wifi bug where it would drop out every hour or so until I restarted it
Also would not let me change DPI below 440 which is still huge for me. Normally I was using 320 in KK.
Oh well....
Edit: The wifi bug was actually the Wifi optimisation option that was ticked. I also had it in KK until I disabled the option.
Overall the B317 LP is fine but for me not being able to lower DPI below 440 or having Xposed (latest LP version did not work) made me switch back.
Hopefully issues fixed in official release if/when that may come.
wow a lollipop after a year. I BET THERE IS NO CHANCE FOR MARSHMALLOW.
huawei - worst support of all companies
Hungarian Huawei official FB promised the update to arrive in mid-october.

However I experienced serious wakelock issue with the B317. Battery drain overnight
A few days only, then they will promise it for middle of november. And so on. There will be no final lollipop in 2015.
There is a officially version B130 for TL10.
Official? Where?

Ye, but B130 is KK, I think this is the best version and last version on KK for TL10. Fast and no bug at all. Released by middle east areas.

This could be the Android battery drain issue I read about over the weekend. Over 600+ people have reported it on the Android Issues page (apparently - I have no link for you).
It's end of September now. Anyone receiving the final Lollipop OTA yet?

But the release can be very slow, just like the Lollipop update for the S5 mini
Official support ends this year July. If they intend on releasing it'll be before then.
very lucky in compare to the s3/s4 users. so we got our last update 2015 and now another one. great! cant take a long time to get it
I hope it arrives faster than lollipop because I am still waiting on that upgrade on my unbranded s5 mini.
