[Q] LG Leon 4G (h340n) Camera ISO control - LG Leon Questions & Answers

Hello, I have an LG Leon 4G and I've noticed that ISO settings in apps like camera-fv5 and open camera (I've tried others, same result) don't work. They show up, they just don't do anything. If anybody else has the LG Leon 4G and could tell me if the ISO settings work (in apps like camera-fv 5, open camera, etc. The stock camera app doesn't have these settings), I would be very grateful.

did you touch the system? when i buy my lg leon it didn't have any problem with camera..

I haven't touched the system. Out of the box the ISO settings don't work. Do they work for you? In what apps? And how high do they go? They show up to 3200 on mine, but they don't do anything.

LG G2 Quick Remote not working

Running the optimus rom. For some reason i'm just stuck on the screen to say ok to the 2 agreements and can't get out of it. I've tried rebooting, reinstalling rom, force closing, clearing data, everything I could think of. Any idea?
take your g2 and point to a camera. hold any button and look in the camera if show a "light" leaving the sensor infrared. if yes, the infrared its works
else look in your rom if has a process "sdk running. this processes is the quick remote
My quick remote not working on my LG G2 . I point to a camera and there is no light, infrared not working. What to do next?

[Q] Is camera supposed to fire flash while focusing?

Just got an international G2. Quite surprised to find the camera flash doesn't fire when focusing, only when the picture is taken.
Is this normal?
I'm rooted, stock rom and kernel, only changes are some G2 Xposed settings and fast dormancy disabled in service menu (if it helps to know that)...
Anyone got any info or suggestions? Cheers.

Mine doesn't fire when tapping on the screen to focus (do any smartphone cameras do this? None that I've used do), but it fires after I press the shutter button, and refocuses itself based on that and then gets brighter to actually take the photo.
My D802 doesn't do it, at least on aosp. But my sgs3 on aosp did.

Thanks for the help guys, I guess that clears that up. I've come from a Nexus 4, which does flash while focusing, so I guess my natural instinct was to assume it wasn't working properly. Cheers

[Q] Extremely poor quality of camera when video chatting

I got an att lg g2 a few days ago with stocked firmware 80010d. Everything worked very well. I then flashed my cell to att 4.4.2 kitkat (80020c) with lg flash tool. The updating process should be successful because I strictly followed a video tutorial and everything is expected.
After flashing I realized that the picture quality of both front and back camera are very poor in some video chatting software (I used Wechat and Hangout). How poor it is? Most of the time my picture is totally black unless you put a light source in front of the camera (both front and back camera are experiencing the same thing). It seems the brightness level of the camera is set to its lowest value so everything is dark, and there is no way to adjust it in the video chatting software. (I do try to set the ISO and brightness to maximum level in camera app, but nothing is changed). Attachments show screen captures in Hangout with or without a light source in it.
Occasionally (it happened once when I had the phone fully charged), the brightness level is good, but the picture quality is extremely low. It seems the camera resolution is only 0.1MP instead of 2MP.
The camera itself works very well taking pictures or videos. It is only bad in video chatting. I searched hard on google but it seems my case is very rare. Is there some settings or adjustments I can do to fix this problem? I know my question is too long, Thank you for any advice.
Guess this is really rare. I will roll back to 10d and see what happens.
My wife's new LG G2 is doing the same thing and she is on stock kit Kat uprooted, came f e on AT&T on 10C, I'm using ClodyPro II on mine and mine works fine. Her problem is exactly like yours

So found a fix, just did it for my wife's G2 which as I said has the same issue, or had. I used the Flashtool to taker her back to 10d then I rooted, installed recovery, updated recovery, and flashed the 10d to 10c keep root and recovery in the AT&T G2 Dev Section, after I backed up first and preformed the install I immediately did a factory reset to wipe data, cache, and dalvik before I rebooted from recovery. Once it was set up, I tried hangouts and the camera looked just like mine, great!! Thought I'd share

lg g2 issue in wechat after kitkat update
Even i'm experiencing the same **** in with my g2 after kikat ota update..... pls anyone have a solution
I am also having the same issue. I use wechat and stock kitkat not rooted. I think it's happening to a lot of us, so it isn't rare. Is there a solution yet? If not, can we get together and maybe report it.
Thanks.

[Q] Galaxy Note 3 Camera Problem

So I bought a used Galaxy Note 3 and am having a massive issue with the camera.
I've rooted this device and have tried every rom in the book
Everything else works 100% however when I try to start the camera app:
1) The camera UI displays but the viewfinder is black.
2) The controls either don't respond at all, or the controls just light up and do nothing.
Any ideas how to remedy this?
Really? 62 views and not a single idea what's happening??

well you don't say which model you have for a start?
have you flashed back to stock to see if it has probs still?
I have the N900W8 model.
I've restored it to stock 4.4.2 and still nothing.
When I use *#0*# and try the camera tests they both just crash the device.

then essentially it should have propper camera drivers.
I suppose it's knox is tripped?
Should not really matter legally in europe if still in warranty period.
did it just suddenly stop?
does it take pictures?
I bought this second hand.
That being said since I've had it, the camera hasn't worked.
Have you ever tried a third party camera app from the play store?

Yep I've tried several.
I should note after restoring 4.4.2 Knox is at 0x0
So managed to get the camera working by taking the phone apart and reseating the camera module.
Now my issue is the camera won't focus properly... lol!
sounds like a hardware issue then ?
Seems that way.
Looks like it is a software issue.
Moved the camera module from my Note 3 into another note 3 and works just fine.
Has something to do with software or the board.
Might help you pin down the cause, or not:
Mine does this after I use a flashlight app for a while (i.e. 2-3 hours.) At some point, the flash LED turns off and won't light up again until I reboot the phone. At this point, all the camera apps (I have 6) do exactly what you experience.
Maybe try a flashlight app, turn it on, off and then try the camera?

Black screen when recording videos

Do you guys experience a black screen for 1-5 seconds when you take videos using the stock camera using auto settings? This happens when the photo size is set to 4:3 and the video resolution is set to 16:9.
Examples (it is worse with SD card):
Internal

SD card

Can you guys test this for me?
I need to determine if this happens to all phones or just mines so I can decide to exchange /repair it.
My device is US996 7.0
EDIT: OREO update seem to fixed it. but there is still a slight delay .

Try clearing your cams cache. Other than that...sounds like your phone or software. Also try a different cam app if issue persists.

I tried factory resetting and safe mode. But it still happens. It only happens if I use stock cam using that exact setting using auto mode. Doesn't happen when both is set to 16:9, manual mode or other camera apps like g cam and open camera; there's no black screen but the delay before it record may be still there, but I'm assuming that could be normal.
I'll try updating to oreo to see if it fixes it.
Atm, I requested an RMA for incase I can't fix this in stock.
It don't do that for me...I'm on ls997 classic ROM. Stock or this V30 port I'm running don't do that. Gcam is an odd one...but that's expected.

I updated to oreo and the black screen is gone. There's still like a 1-2 second delay with internal storage (timed it) when I press the record button and when I see the record icon shows up. Should i assume that is normal with this phone?
I probably have to live with that...
