I am on stock kitkat 4.4.2 d802 right now I am thinking about rooting my phone by towelroot and installing autorec so after rooting will I be able to update to android l with root on? and if I install custom rom e.g Cloudyg3 then is it possible to come back to stock rom with nandroid backup only that is without kdz method thank u!!

I want to root my G2 and I'm looking through applications/scripts for it and I want to ask with what do I root it?
I have SRK and DP tools, they both offer rooting through ADB, DP tools offer unrooting also.
What are other good options?
And one big question, If I unroot, can I update to stock lolipop OTA?
Since I saw a thread that updating a rooted G2 causes a brick.

I not sure if this has been posted before. I just wanted to know if there is a method to root this phone now or is there anyway I can downgrade to 4.4.2 and root the phone. I am currently stuck with the stock rom and I would like to root my phone and make the performance better and battery better.
No to each of your questions - no root on 4.4.4 and no downgrade.
