[DISCUSSION] New ROM

Hi everyone. I want to make new ROM for SP. The problem is I dont have SP. But if you guys provide me some help I can do it. How you guys think? But you people have to remember I am new to Android developing and mostly I am theming the ROMs than developing it.
So first thing first. I want to know the recent firmware for SP. Then I can process with next.

Hi bro. did u remember me ( rajeevxperia). Xperia S forum.. I sold my XS and bought SP...
Here are some details u need
There was three types of SP out there
1. C5302 Non 4G version ( INDIA )
2. C5303 With 4G Version
3. C5306
And the latest firmware update is this
12.0.A.2.245
And this is the same for C5302 and C5303
Any other help u need?

Yes. I do remember you and sorry for not replyng you that day. I was so busy.
It would be good to make ROM for the model which have most users. What model have most users on your opinion?

Both C5303 and C5302.....
But in India most of the peoples using C5302.... And there was one funny thing is U can flash C5302 rom in C5303 and C5303 rom in C5302...
Any way make one with C5302.. In India 4G is not usable....Btwn i am using C5303 ( 4G) imported from China....

I think that 4G thing can be managed by flashing baseband after flashing the ROM. It is same thing like our ION which have lt28i/h/at which can flash same ROM.

Hey!
No one could develop a TWRP Recovery on the phone was.
Because it is not deleted from the internal memory contents of ROM installed.

The ROM is completed. And now trying to upload. But my connection is so slow. My ISP has some issue.
About the ROM:
I dont think people will like it. Cox I didnt make much changes neither add much tweaks. It is stipped stock ROM with almost all the available Hanomi ports. Now the ROM contain something like 370MB.
This v1 is just a initial release and will make new versions if it succeeds.

Recovery TWRP adapted to SP....

Ok. Here is the deal. I got no connection. So I will update the ROM after activating my mobile internet package. Will try withing 2 hours. And I will PM the link to selected people and varify some things and post the link public. How about it?

Actually I was a bit confused, I was asking if it's better than the stock Rom

Certainly I do prefer my custom Rom rather than the stock Rom

This one is better i have tried it

I guess, functionality depends on the user and every ROM has its own speciality

Hi guys.....
We have compiled SOKP ROM for nexus7 flo....
I just want to make sure it boots before making a development thread
Since I don't own flo device am making a thread here for testing....

So do make a backup before proceeding to test the ROM
Steps to flash ROM
Wipe data /system/cache/dalvik
Flash ROM(don't flash gapps)
Wipe cache /dalvik
Wait till it boots ....(at least 15mins this is because boot animation may or may not work since its 1st build...)
Post test results here...
If it not boots come with a logcat...
Hope all will cooperate and help me to bring this beautiful ROM to your devices...

Nice Rom Test Build
To be Honest AudioGod, I think for the first SOKP Build I used, It seems to be very stable compared to other roms in the nightly stages, and it has a lot more features. The only issues i had which are not major is that sometimes it may say Google Play Store stopped Working and the same with Clock, but in the end it is my favorite rom for flo. Keep up the Good Work

Flo rom is working great for me. Used it all of today with no issues

This definitely should go into the Android development section so more people can test this, it works for me quite well and is one of my favorites in multirom. Maybe we can make it official and drop it in the original android section. Go for it dude

AOSP 5.0 Lollipop available for Z2

I can't find any downloads, but if someone can, adding a link in this thread would be really helpful. I'm pretty sure Sony updated the github for some of their phones, and you may be able to build it. https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/device-sony-sirius

It's early development test firmware. Lot of stuff doesn't work.
