I've downloaded the Customized DE ROM with XperiFirm and created a prerooted .zip with NUTs DualRecovery with PRFCreator.
D5503_Customized DE_1279-6978_14.5.A.0.270_R1D
UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
Z1C-lockeddualrecovery2.8.15-RELEASE.flashable.zip
The file can be flashed with a custom recovery so you need to have to have this already. You'll receive the current (second) release of Sony's 5.0.2 Firmware for the Z1 Compact (D5503) with root and recovery.
I've flashed dirty over the 242 Build without any problem so I would first try without wipes. If you're having any problems I recommend a factory reset.

Any mirrors please, humble request.
There's an OTA Update rolling out currently for this 14.5.A.0.270 Customized DE Version with 9.9MB size. The Version number still is 270 which is a bit confusing.
It can be applied without loosing root or xposed.

Hi,
I am coming from .108 and use CWM.
When i try to flash the .zip, it prints me following messages:
-------------------------------------
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Install from sdcard complete.
-------------------------------------
But this process takes maximum a second. And after a reboot nothing has changed... Has anyone of you an idea what went wrong?
Thanks
Can I flash this over cm12.1 from twrp?
I made my own prerooted version of the customised UK ROM - all good but got the infamous Lollipop charging bug. Wouldn't charge beyond 88% and the LED starting to blink in an irregular fashion. I restored back to Kitkat and all okay. Any problems with this ROM in terms of charging? Do the customised ROMS vary much from region to region?

nothing else, that it shows you? Like opening package, .... fixing permissions ...
I was also surprised, only took a few minutes to install. 2-3
Did you checked the package? ~ 1.2 GB
Wouldn't work for me. It went through all the optimizing apps business and I was able to unlock my SIM - then WiFi wouldn't start and on reboot I got into a bootloop with the blue swirly screen for a few minutes and then rebooting. I tried factory reset but didn't help. Same result as the 14.5.A.0.270 R2D Customized DE version posted yesterday.

On doing this again with a clean flash it worked. I think if you've already done a dirty flash, then a restore, there must be too much junk around for a dirty flash to work.

STOCK ROM Xperia Z (C6603) 10.4.1.B.0.101 Generic UA (Unbranded Ukraine)
Hi all, this is my first take at creating a flashable zip which I tested and found working on my Unlocked Bootloader Xperia Z (C6603)
Stock ROM uploaded by @smardu http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50203976&postcount=68
Created using @[NUT]'s DIY Guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2307311 to create a flashable zip rooted with SuperSU, init.d & BusyBox built in with @[NUT]'s XZ Dual Recovery v 2.7.62
I have tested it on my Unlocked Bootloader Xperia Z (C6603) and found working. I have NOT tested on Locked Bootloader. If you are willing to try and let me know!
How I updated:
1. Make a nandroid backup just in case
2. Flash the flashable zip using PhilzTouch (only tested using PhilzTouch Recovery) - I am not sure if it will work on other recoveries
3. Once completed, do not restart your phone, power off the phone instead
4. Connect in Flashmode and Flash the Kernel
5. Reboot and once loaded into system, it should start showing Android is upgrading
I did not clear data or cache before flashing and so far it is working fine with me.
I have also included links to @[NUT]'s latest XZ Dual Recovery v 2.7.85-BETA.flashable as well as the working Xposed Installer Framework for 4.3.

I got a weird issue after flashing this rom..when my phone booted up for 1st time i got this repair icon in my screen, with the loading blue bar on the bottom (1st time i see this on my phone)...after a few minutes it booted up normally, but the only issue i got is that i cannot install any app through my file explorer...only through playstore..when i try to install one app through es explorer eg. i get "sorry,no application error".
Also, xposed framework has issues too..i can view my mods and they are applied to my phone, but when i try to update those who need update, xposed is crashing...so i can only use mods that are already installed through my previous rom.
Anyone has any idea what i did or what maybe went wrong?

What ROM were you previously on? Was it Odexed or Deodexed? And did you wipe data/cache/dalvik before flashing or did you dirty flash? Might work if you do a clean install.
OK, i just figured out my mistake...
I did everything from scratch and everything works flawless now..so i can confirm it is working on a locked bootloader..
So for your interest if someone does the same mistake as i did, just when flashing the kernel .ftf don't exclude anything..that caused my issues i think

I was on 4.3 odexed NCB stock, prerooted. I wiped only cache and dalvik before flashing. I messed up my system by trying another flashable rom that failed during flashing, and then i tried this method, zipped flashed fine, but i unchecked everything except kernel when flashing the .tft. Although i reflashed for 2nd time in a row the .tft, system still messed up. So i did everything from the beginning and now it works fine...
Glad i didn't had to wipe my data in the end...
Thanks for this rom/guide
Silly question, I have unlocked the bootloader, I'm using a stock rom with stock kernel, what I need to know is if after I flash the kernel.tft I need to follow the NUT's thread to install the dual recovery? it is already rooted? I'll do it today as soon as I get home so I just need to know that! :good:

No, dualrecovery is integrated in this rom. Also, busybox and supersu fixes are also included, so you only need to flash the rom and the .ftf kernel file.

Hi
Here are flasable zip files wich installs latest ROM 23.1.A.0.726 which is LolliPop and region this time is customized TW, latest stable SuperSu v2.46 and latest fully working Dualrecovery 2.8.10 (2.8.14 in SGP511 .zip) for Tablet Z2 with read and write acces to system.
Make nandroid backup before flashing.
Install it by flashing whole zip file via custom recovery. TWRP recommend.
Factory reset is recommend if you came from KK. If you already have LP installed this is small update to 23.1.A.0.690 so you be just fine by dirty flashing but dalvik and cache wipes are recommend.

You are welcome. About your question. LP sort of fixed the thing with external sd cards by giving developers away to add their apps installation file new permission to have read, write and delete access to chosen directory also other than apps own directory. So LP fix this but developers have to update their apps to use this new method.

I take no responsibility if your phone is damaged or bricked by following these instructions. Always backup your phone before altering its software in any way.

Generic DE 1279-6978

Kernel, FOTAKernel, Baseband included (no need to flash FTF)
How to:
Code:
- Backup your data
(the next 2 steps are only recommended if
you have no recovery/root or getting bootloops
or anything like that. skip them if you already
have a working custom recovery)

You can't make an FTF file due to Sony's encryption. Best way for pre-rooted xperia firmware is thru Flashable PRF.
Soon enough there will be a 1 click easy root tool for lollipop for xperia phones so stick with stock unrooted for the meantime
(seriously it's been just a few days since the fw was released)
There are ways but only with unlocking the bootloader (no one click or whatsoever) so in the end the one above seems to be the easiest way... and it´s not that much time consuming to downgrade to .108 and upgrade afterwards...

I just hotbooted the kernel from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/son...t-lollipop-5-0-2-unlocked-bootloader-t3082081 and flashed this zip
You can't make an FTF file due to Sony's encryption. Best way for pre-rooted xperia firmware is thru Flashable PRF.
Soon enough there will be a 1 click easy root tool for lollipop for xperia phones so stick with stock unrooted for the meantime
(seriously it's been just a few days since the fw was released)[/QUOTE]
Thank you for your reply, I don't think I can wait until a root method comes out, there are many features in KK that I miss, and a couple of annoying ones in LP I guess I'll just go with the downgrading method...

You do not need root. Simply flash .108, root and flash back 157. It is really very easy and takes only several minutes.

I have tested the Xposed one and its working fine with the Dirty flash variant!
Well done and thanks for charing with us.
For the user who will use the xposed version I can suggest the modules from my screen.
P.S. Greetings from Unna ☺
P.P.S. Maybe you can upload the zips to your google drive if you have got enough space free.

Dirty flashed the Xposed version. All looks fine. :good:
Can I dirty flash this on 4.4.4 Stock Rom, rooted with custom recovery? Or do i need to be on 5.0.1?
I think there should be no problems, its just like any other ota update

If I do a backup of 4.4.4 I can restore it? No need to downgrade or anything?

Backups can be restored on any version, cause in the backup is everything from the system (anyone correct me if I am wrong ;D)
Have to say, after a very long boot animation and app upgrade, nearly 20 mins, the dirty upgrade with the xposed firmware, worked a treat. Had to restart a few times after updating apps and tweeking xposed, as I had it installed before this update. Everything is working brilliantly and its running fast and smooth, with little overheating and looking like decent battery life, compared to rooted 4.4.4 that I was on. Thanks for sharing, much appreciated.

If you use xposed and want a bit more battery life install mobile active radio fix for xposed.
