Hello everybody, good news!
I'm not sure if most people read this site on an "actual PC", or are in the habit of glancing over to the XDA Portal posts... one jumped out at me today though, as a very unexpected surprise So, it's confirmed: the Xposed framework can be modified (requires editing some .jar files... not exactly an easy task, but the link to the guide thread seems like it has the full instructions kind of scattered about the thread despite the OP being a bit "sparse"), to run on TW based Lollipop ROMs!
Not sure if y'all are into that sort of thing p), but here's the thread with instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/guide-xposed-framework-samsung-lollipop-t3113143
Personally, I just have to digest this for a bit... I'm desperately in need of a clean install (phone is several kinds of jacked-up atm, due to some... "bold experimentation"), and I actually just got a 128GB micro SD, of which I'm planning on partitioning 16GB of as ext4 for my planned MultiSystem installation (the dev posted in this forum, but hasn't yet(?) replied in the thread... here's the main thread for that tool for those who are interested: http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...eplacement-t3102395/post60583768#post60583768. Anyway, I was definitely planning on flashing ANK4 then clean install DK 4.2 (I'm pretty averse to "early-adoption", particularly wrt major OS updates and tech hardware... that's how I roll on my PC, having learned pretty quickly "the hard way" that, in general, an "integer" update of a OS needs at least a couple bug fix updates in order to... "prevent disruptions to my workflow", I suppose.) I know, it's hard to think of installing LP on our phones as "early-adoption", but has anyone had a "bug-free" experience with stock COD6? I did find it quite interesting that 5.1.1 for the S6 Edge leaked like 3 days after T-mobile pushed out the N4 update (the last of the carriers to update the past and present "best" phone one can buy IMO). I think that occurrence gave us a glimpse into where the priorities of the OEM and our carrier lie.
Anyway, after writing this and recalling the degree to which our fantastic devs have been tearing LP apart I've decided that update time, for me, has come I'm going to base my MultiSystem install on COD6... thank you to every developer/contributor who have worked extremely hard on making our LP update "usable"... also HUGE THANKS to @darkera13 for his guide to get Xposed running on TW LP. The incompatibility really made my experience testing out the update feel "off". Like everyone, I have a handful of apps/tweaks that I need to run... for me, some of the most "vital" are Xposed modules. Obviously there are many modules that won't be compatible... yet... but the fact that Xposed on TW LP has been achieved, and the base ROM version dictates which other ROMs that one can install with the MultiSystem tool, total change of plans Now I'll be "catching up" to the rest of the community here and installing COD6, which will hopefully be the last time that I mess with ODIN for a while
It would be great if everyone who tries out this early version of Xposed could post their experiences: any problems (or solutions :good with installation, modules that they've found to work as well as any that didn't or caused some sort of problem
Just want to say a special thanks to @bri315317 and @SICKMADE for all of the fantastic work that they've done on COD6! Excitement :good:
Found a thread from that thread with an apk. Someone posted working on 910t so I'm gonna give this a go thank you jazz

[UNOFFICIAL] Xposed for Samsung Lollipop by arter97
Awesome to hear that a few of you have got it working! I just finished my LP update and ROM installation I haven't done much aside from from restoring apps from TB yet, but based on that, I feel sufficiently qualified to state that LP is the best Android OS EVAR!!
I was just wondering which recovery and version are those who are running it using? I just ask because the guide recommends Philz CWM, but I'm currently/always have used TWRP on my N4 (and would prefer to continue...) Thanks in advance!
If you had previously installed xposed make sure you disable all modules before flashing, as some modules are incompatible and may cause a boot loop.

i used TWRP and it worked for me.
Got Xposed working great on my phone. No issues so far
The install was successful. However the modules i wanted to use didn't work i.e. Complete action plus, wanam xposed, nfc screen off.
Has everyone used a deodexed rom or did you get this working on stock?
Deodexed rom. It doesn't work on stock yet.
Anyone know of a list of modules working on this version? I've seen lists of working modules on 5.1 and not sure if it's the same on 5.0.1 TW.
I'm just glad app settings is working well. ?

Your ROM needs to be deodexed according to the guide that I linked to in the OP. If you check that out though, I believe that there are a couple of links (I think in the second post) to tools or instructions to deodex any ROM.
I installed Xposed yesterday I don't think that any of the installation methods are terribly difficult, but I used the two flashable zips in the PopRocks ROM thread. There's A LOT of info in the first two posts in that thread, so the xposed stuff is a bit hard to find, but I think they were near the middle(?) of the second post. You can just search the first page for the word "Xposed" and you'll find the two zips put together by @note4me. That should work on any ROM, I flashed the zips on Dynamic Pop and :good:! Just make sure to grab both zips and flash the one that has "sdk" in the name last. I used TWRP 2.8.4.0, and had no problems
Here's a list of the modules that I have running successfully so far:
Amplify :good:
BootManager
BubbleUPnP
Coolify Flat :good:
Greenify (boost mode) :good:
PlayPermissionsExposed
UnbelovedHosts :good:
Unicon :good:
Xposed Additions :good: :good: :good: (Need some key remapage!)
Oh gosh... anyway you could post up those links?
At work and I just dont want to get irritated. (My work not the forum)

Pretty much solved my issue with this link for the original work-around to use Xposed on Chroma 5.1. There's the edit that tells anyone who reads it that the build.prop modifications pre-5/27 build are no longer in place meaning Xposed can be installed/flashed trouble-free now. I did however wipe cache and dalvik per a couple recommendations before and after flashing the Xposed sdk22 zip file. Much appreciate all assistance that's been given!
Xposed working well on Chroma...only issue I call out is Youtube Adaway it is active not blocking ads. Background player for youtube works...but for 5.1.1 on the SuperAlfa still work in progress so not all modules work correctly...

any progress in the last few days?
I have fully deodexed rom now, systemui working.
Errors;
FC lgweather
FC lgcover
FC bluetooth
FC internet app
FC EULA (with factory reset)
FC EasyHome
... more?...
Wifi is working
Of course flashed Xposed Installer (arm64 july 2 by romracer) ; bootloop
Finally i have also had the time to collect a few logcats, perhaps i will post them in the Xposed thread (romracers')
I will try my modified xposed installer zip in a minute (rom is starting, building dalvik; deodexed version)
-> the good news; no bootloop. The bad news: same 'storage space running out' error on deodexed rom so the same errors as for the official odexed stock rom

Thank you so much for the updates!! Glad to see you are making progress on this (granted it might be a one step forward and one step back kind of deal, but this is how we figure things out). I am in absolutely NO RUSH for this, and while yes, I am VERY MUCH looking forward to a few select Modules on my device, I am more worried that you can keep things safe for you while you play the trial and error game.....So please be careful as would hate to see or hear about something bricking your device.
Once again though, congrats on your progress and (We ALL HERE ON THE G4 Forums) just want to say thank you for all your hard work.
Any progress on this? Xposed is the thing I miss the most on the G4.
Progress is slow at the moment; still going through my log files and trying out different stuff
Has anyone tried the latest unofficial Xposed v67 / 20150716? The change log for the official release mentions boot loops fixes for certain LG devices.

Edit: latest version (xposed-v67-sdk22-arm64-by-romracer-20150716.zip) end in bootloop unfortunately...
The xposed uninstaller zip works though (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/super-alpha-posted-permission-xposed-t3072979)
please post logs (twrp install log and logcat) to help the developers. would be better to post them in the xposed subforum thread.
i already did it. but this weekend i have no time for playing with it ...
Try setting SELinux to permissive. Uninstall smartcover and LG weather. This is what they had to do with the G2.

I tried that, for me that trick did not work
The only 'way' to get xposed to 'work' is not letting the installer replace a lib/ file (see first post): resulting in a working xposed but 'no storage space left' errors all over...

Hello experts ?? I'm curious about the xposed framework I found a few guides but I'm not sure which one to follow . Also I saw that xposed framework cause various problems on Samsung stock roms .Any help will be appreciated.

For first, you need to know what is Xposed Framework, (Google or ask for other members, sorry) after that, download the Xposed Installer and install it.
Some versions like 5.1.1 don't have a stable version, but you can try it at your own risk! Use Xposed and your modules with moderation and be sure that you are using the correct module for you version.
It's simple!

You only need to follow ONE guide if you are on stock TW ROM, this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3113463
Simple enough. Just install the Alpha4 apk from rovo's topic (only the apk, no zip file) and then from recovery flash the zip package made by Arter, Krait V5 (you have N9005 right?)
And no, there is no issue, at least nothing worth mentioning. The only issue I see is when you use the Soft Reboot features from Xposed itself the Samsung logo (boot animation) seems to go really dim, so that is probably a brightness issue, other than that I haven't noticed anything and I am using it since Arter made it possible. And of course you should be on a Deodexed ROM to make it work.
Hope you got your answer. In case of further doubt just ask away.

So, I had several modules working with previous version of KK, all of them properly working (one for all: AMPLIFY).
These modules helped a lot in order to extend battery life.
Now the question: is there anyone who has been able to install Xposed and Framework on our M7 with latest firmware B324 (LP 5.1.1). If so, please, advice:
- procedure to follow
- files to be used
I'm on Mt-L09 rooted and bootloader unlocked.
As far as I know Xposed is only in beta version for Nexus and just a couple of others, not M7.

No working xposed for now. I try flash v75 and I lost my touch button and status bar to.

I'm sorry tuddu, I also tried... No framework... it kills system UI (navigation and status bar)... That's why I rolled back to CM11... I wait/hope (if Huawei releases a suitable 5.x kernel) for CM12... I'm really done with EMUI !
Same problem here, tried to flash all latest versions of xposed and only one that flashed properly was v75 , which makes notification bar and control buttons dissapear
Had to flash uninstall zip file in order to recover notification bar and controls.
Hope xposed will be compactible with m7 soon

Yes, already tried and already faced the same problems.
For me Xposed is quite important since allow me activate apps like AMPLIFY which helped a lot in battery drain reduction.
Let' s keep this thread alive, I think soon some news will be added...
I think you should post in Xposed thread with some logs to help development.
I'll have a Mate 7 in a few daysand will try it again
Is there any news from other users who already tried installing Xposed on LP 5.1.1.?
Same installed latest xposed but failed....
+1, subscribed. I've gone through the same process, same results. EMUI is a rather heavily modified skin, so here's hoping the xposed team find a way...

Xposed was released for Oreo! Been so long don't know where to start.
EDIT: (I was just being dumb)
Grab the systemless version. Easiest way is through Magisk. Just make sure your on 15.2 or grab it via the link below.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-systemless-xposed-t3388268
I think the best method is using the systemless version for magisk, I just tried it and it works.
Simpy go into modules and you will see the sdk27 version at the very bottom: tap on it, you see there is an updated xposed manager apk made for the new magisk version.
Download the apk, install the module, reboot, install apk, reboot.
Works with no problems
Enjoy

I feel dumb but I don't see xposed anywhere in the modules section of the Magisk Manager app.
Is there some other way I should be finding modules? I click on the hamburger menu and then downloads and there's about 30 or so listed.

Never mind. I figured out I had to be on Magisk 15.2. I was on 14.5.
So anyway I downloaded the Xposed Installer that is linked in Magisk Manager and installed it. Then I installed Xposed inside of Magisk. The only problem is the Xposed Installer crashes every time I click on a module to download. Does anyone else have this issue?

Yes, I confirm, I don't know if it's caused by Magisk or because it's just a beta...
Anyway there is a workaround, instead of downloading the module from xposed manager, download the apk of the module from internet (official repo website or from whatever you want), because when you are going to install and enable the modules there are no problems, and after a reboot they're working.
Updated op to reflect install options. Happy modding everyone!

I have been thinking of installing this since last night, but with it still in beta and modules still needing fixed for 8.1 I just can't see any reason (other than something new for me to play with) that will benefit me enough to deal with the SafetyNet failure.

I am happily enjoying the stock ROM on my XL and I keep the same installed on my wife's Pixel. I spent years swapping out custom ROMs on various devices and expected to do the same when I got the PIxels (very shortly after released almost 2 years ago). After the initial shortage of custom ROMs (due to the new OS engineering method) subsided and plenty came out, I realized there was nothing I was missing enough to deal with running custom and not being able to do a monthly update that takes me literally less than 10 minutes. Besides not missing anything, there is pretty much no bloat I need to get rid of, and the device still runs great even with a handful of "always on" apps. Probably best for you to look at the development sub-forum and do your research there and ask questions.

That's like asking, "which tastes better, vanilla or chocolate?" Make a twrp backup, and give it a try, what you like, another may hate. For me, it's fun to add features when I'm using a rom that is lacking in that department.
