[Q] HELP ! Rooting my N910H - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello ! this is not the first time I ask this question and nobody answered me ! I need a very detailed answer for my question , Im running 4.4.4 kitkat on my note 4 SM-n910h and I want to root the device due to some apps that I want .. It's taking forever for lollipop to be pushed for my region ! can I root the device and then update it when lollipop comes out ? i heard i can do this via odin or kies .. will i not lose any of my data ?
2nd question , I see many N910H on sammobile but for other regions who received Lollipop , is it safe to flash another region's firmware ? I'm from Iraq .
if someone can help me please answer me because I want to root the device soon .
Thanks in advance

The reason you might not get any answer its because there is no reason to open a thread for this, its easier to google it, why you couldn't ask the same question on google, just give it a try, google is your best friend, also the forum have a SEARCH BAR if you are on a desktop or a SEARCH ICON on mobile, try searching and reading, but I will help you because it was too hard to do the following:
https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=n910h+root
God bless, cheers:fingers-crossed:
If you feel I helped you in something don't just say thanks, there is THANKS BUTTON for it, don't feel bad to press it

lol sir i've googled it a thousand times ! but I can't get a satisfying answer for it .. some people say that kies update doesn't work after rooting and others say that they lose data others say they don't , I want my question to be answered , many said that I can flash other region's firmwares but some said that it trips knox some say that I can't root if i root now .. so don't judge my question so fast I have googled a lot before I MADE an account just to ask this question ..
and No i'm not gonna hit thanks button because you weren't of any help , you were just rude in a nice way .
God bless you too !
Enjoy your day .

What did u do wrong?
i had the same problem a few days back.
i tought i was doomed !!!
listen up, this is what you need to do.
download the stock firmware from sammobile.
get your phone in download mode and hook it up with odin, then install the stock firmware, the good news is: You will not lose your apps, settings or files.
Everything remains the way it is.
in my case (i think) is that i tried to root it with a broken USB cable.
the other tought was that i used CF-Autoroot from chainfires website, it shows that its for android 5.01 while i was on 4.4.
at least, i hope you can use my info, please let me know if it helped for you
When it happened to me, i allmost ****ted myself

Thank you very much Racinghart91 . I have managed to fix the problem with Kies.
The main problem was that Kies was not recognizing my phone model, and I found out that the model as to be inserted in Keis with capital letters. With that Kies have found my correct firmware and I have updated it, and now its all good.
And I have a back up of all, ROM and apps . Now I can try another ROOT, and if it failde I have now all the backups I need.
By the way do you guys know any sucessful ROOT for my Phone, I have the Android version 4.4.4
Model : SM-N910F
SSN : N910FGSMH
Another question, should I wait for the next Android update 5.0, or ROOT my Note 4 befor the update?
I have successfully ROOT my wifes Note 3, and Now its much faster tahn my Note 4, in Apps, games all, damn how is that possible ?
Thanks once again.

Well , I just followed the steps , it's that simple with some patient .
Knox is working fine , the device is official , I got Android 5.0 , Every thing is good for me .
But I don't think that if Samsung hold their phone won't find that it's been customized ! I guess they are able to find out , so no real warranty is back ^^ .
ME : I don't care about the warranty , and I don't even know what it does !
anyway , This method Works and thank you for sharing .
Cheers

Yes it works, it's some problem at your end, everybody else was fine with KSA stock, including me.
I don't say that your rom is bad, I wanted to use it but
The downloads links always give me a unusable file, it's not the rom witch is bad , it's the links, sorry but I tried many times, if you can give me a secure way to download it, I'll do with pleasure, thanks.

That was likely a bad flash that made you loose your imei, and most networks block phones without imei.
Please factory reset, flash original stock rom, factory reset again. Hopefully it will recover your imei, if not, please search XDA for alternative options.
ok, thanks, ill do it right now. i'll tell you the result, thanks again.
for sammobile, i hope you verified the link because i dont work when i tried it two days before.

Need help with rooting I9500XXUHOG2

Hey there guys....I have a real annoying problem....I cannot find the right rooting file..... my device baseband is I9500XXUHOG2
AND IT'S A REAL PAIN IN THE NECK TO FIND IT BECAUSE IT'S NOT THERE!!!!!
please can anyone help...I tried a lot of i9500 files but with no use...and I found myself unable to unroot and not having the root permission. ..so I endup recovering it with Samsung program (I don't remember the program's name but it's not kies)
Please I need help ASAP!
and another problem....after a false rooting I endup recovering the original stock rim via Samsung and it takes 6 FREAKING HOURS TO FINISH!
Is there a faster way ...like backing up stock rom (my rom of course because it's not avalable) because it's an EGYPTIAN.

Hey there,
Have you tried CF-Auto-Root?
To backup your entire rom you will need a custom recovery. I recommend TWRP.
And you should be able to find pretty much any stock roms on sammobile.com.
Good luck.

Thanks for replying fast...but there is a problem
I didn't find the one I need... that might cause a problem ,
Scince I am still a newbie when it comes to these stuff
I don't risk too much because I don't have a backup plan
Like the software on Sammobile.Com is not the one
I have... I heard about the 1 click root like king or lingo root
A friend of mine tried it but it's Chinese so it's not
Something you should trust... but it's the ease way right?
Perhaps too easy to be secured.
Now I am start to wish that I bought a i9505 ... at lease it's more famous and have more support than my phone.

CF-Auto-Root is your best option. There is no real 1-click root method.
