Hello I would like to ask you... I have SM-N9005 (baseband) - N9005XXUBMH9 and I cant find any ROM for it, can you tell me whats the problem? Do I have any kind of testing model or what? Thank you for your answers... I really would like to install Lollipop on it, but I am afraid, because of my baseband... Thanks.
Baseband is the Modem its not the firmware .
Development is full of N9005 custom roms as is sammobile with stock roms .

And what do you need from this app ?
List everything in these tabs: General, CSC Code, Firmware
(actually, don't need all, but simpler to just tell you that than each specific thing). Easier still, take a snapshot of your screen and post them on here.
General will tell us your exact phone model, and CSC will let us know which country specific firmware you need. Firmware will let us know which version you have, so you don't downgrade bootloader and mess things up.
Many thanks to everyone who contributed

A word of caution. It may not be so but your confusion about baseband says you don't know much about ROM's, flashing and software components. I'd suggest have a read of the stickies (at top of each section such as Android Development) and learn what gives. You need to know the difference between Recovery and Download modes among other things.
Chances are you will want to root you phone so you can play more, but if all you want is LP, you can DL the Stock firmware for your phone (which is why the guys want the details from Phone INFO) and then flash it using Odin - a program you run on your PC that runs the firmware onto your phone.
N9005XXUBMH9
Feedback on that is that it was Jelly Bean Test firmware .In which case it may not be a genuine Note 3 but a sample .
SM-N9005: Android 4.3 Jellybean
(Current test firmware: N9005XXEBMH9/N9005OXABMH9/N9005XXUBMH9)

Hello,
I am quite confused by the fact that there's way too many stock ROM versions out there, each one seems to be targeting a different country and with no obvious changelog. So my two questions:
1- Has the camera issues been fixed any available ROM and/or kernel? Stock or modified. By issues here I specifically mean the lag when opening and the fact that it will crash the system if you have more than 4 processes running.
2- Can I install any stock ROM on my device? I mean different countries or cryptic symbols like "open CRM" or "German DMT" or stuff like that. If the answer is yes, is there anything special I should backup? I read about having to backup something like the IMEI or else the mobile data won't work. I am familiar with TiBu and doing Nandroid backups, are they enough?
I have an I9500 I got from Egypt, running stock ROM build number: JDQ39.I9500XXUAMDK and kernel version: 3.4.5-526212.
I am sorry if there is any common sense I seem to be missing, I tried my best searching before posting. Thanks in advance.

I was living the same situation as your with the camera having the MDK FW version.
The simplest way to have the better camera working is to upgrade from this buggy MDK firmware to any other upper, MEA the fisrt.
Choose region close to your in the stock availabilty at SAMMOBILE site, or go to a custom rom. They are "few" available in the dev section and they are all about good.

Thank you a lot. But what about the IMEI and CSC? Will it just work if I flashed a stock ROM via ODIN or the modem won't work because it's a different country?

Sure the CSc will/must change but it has little importance, you will be updated by Kies (if you want follow this way, according your new CSC.
MODEM and IMEI are not modified 'hopefully' with this update.
From my side I flashed wananlite 1.8 custom rom that is complete with stweaks included for sound modification and will never come back under KIES hook....
your choice is up to you, if cautious read some other threads giving all explanation and learn to get skills!
Hey all!
Is it possible to downgrade from a newer (NE3) firmware to an older (ND3) through Odin or it will brick my phone because of the bootloader?
The only things I know are that 1) Downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.3 is not possible 2) It's possibile to install a custom older rom on new bootloader and vice versa BUT I don't know if it's possible with stock roms with Odin.
I looked for a solution but nothing found and no one answered me so I opened this thread to find out a solution.
Thanks in advance.
UP still interested because NE4 + custom kernel gives problems that others doesn't have

I never actually tried going back to an older version but I really don't see why you shouldn't. As long as it's KitKat 4.4.2 just try it should work. I downgraded my Modem and haven't had any issue.
With the Bootloader worry...did you even change the bootloader? As well as the Modem you have to do that separate to the Rom, as flashing a Rom doesn't touch Modem an Bootloader!!! If you don't know how to do that please just leave it alone though unless you read, read, read a lot on how to do that.

Thanks for the reply, every time I install a new rom I make sure to update the bootloader and modem too, and from what I can read from the Synapse app I have the NE3 modem and NE4 bootloader.
I'm asking how to go back to older roms because going from 4.4.2 to 4.3 updating the bootloader with Odin you obtain only a fancy paper weight, and I didn't know if going from newer to older 4.4.2 bootloader it was the same story.

I'm pretty sure there won't be an issue mate since I flash between custom roms almost daily which are most of the time different models. If you want to be 100% sure wait for someone to confirm as I'm rooted since I got the chance to do so.
Thanks to the developer Civato I read on his FlexKat thread he correctly downgraded his bootloader from NE6 to ND6 with Odin...
So problem solved, this is definitely possible.
Thank you everyone for your replies :good:
Downgrading bootloaders on the same version generally tends to work OK, mainly because on 4.3 Samsung patched the security flaw which stopped you going <MJ7
Kith Kitkat I never had any issues flipping back and forth.--- Until it's a BL upgrade with OS Number change (IE: 4.4.3 if it has new BL) then it shouldn't work.
hi. sorry, this is probably an old thread but I need some help, please and somehow,Google got me here. I want to downgrade (not really downgrade) my N9005 to 4.4.2.
I currently have a custom ROM(resurrection remix v5.6.9,in settings it says that I have android 6.0.1 marshmallow). Also,I have a custom recovery(TWRP). Well,I would like to install the KitKat stock ROM and really did a lot of research but I cannot find it anywhere :'( . Do you know any source? And also, can I flash it with mobile ODIN? When I opened Mobile Odin Pro it said that if I don't have the boot loader for the ROM I want to install then I will experience a soft brick. Isn't TWRP a good boot loader?
Also, does it matter what version of N9005 I own? mine is: XXUGBOJ1. Could I flash smth that is not for this ..base band is it called?...
pls help
I'm such a newbie and I don't wanna mess up

Get a 4.4.2 fw and flash with windows odin. Not really familiar with mobile odin. Find fw for you country csc. Flashing other csc fw sometimes requires pit file so better get the 1 for your country or originally came with the phone.

hey dude if i do a flashing faliure will kies fix it?
What FW is on your phone right now? and what are you trying to upgrade to?
Questions belong in Q&A, not General.
Thank you.
Now that this is in the correct place...
Stock ROMs do not come in a flashable zip format. Kies is not going to help you in this regard, and is absolutely useless for fixing flashing problems that may crop up. Thus, you'll have to use Odin, like it or not.
I'm assuming you want to upgrade your ROM, so please post the following information:
1. Model Number
2. Android Version, found by going to Settings > More > About device.
3. Firmware Version (AP, CP, CSC), found by dialing *#1234# in the dialer or by installing Phone Info from the Play Store and running it.
4. Service Provider
5. Country
6. Is the phone rooted? (Yes/No)
7. Is a custom ROM installed? (Yes/No, and the name of the ROM)
Some of this may seem redundant, but putting it all in one post makes it easier to help you.
Hello there, I flashed my S3 Neo with an unofficial ROM so I could see how good is Lolipop 5.0, but I didn't like it so much, so I wanted to revert back to my stock ROM which is Android 4.4.2. My question is, does the Baseband version matters? My phone baseband version is I9301IXXUANI2 but when I went to the Samsung Updates site where I could find my ROM, there was only I9301IXXUANI1 versions, no I9301IXXUANI2. If I try to use that version from the site, would my phone get bricked?
Sorry for my bad english.
no it doesn't matter !
at least from what i know !
i did installed different baseband version to my phone and nothing happened everything works fine !
just be sure its for ur phone which is i9301i !
good luck

Nothing is matter. Baseband or region has no impact. That's what i know. Go to sammobile.com and download any baseband version firmware and flash it through odin. Just remember one thing that firmware should be for your exact model.
Thanks all for your help

You are welcome. And may be your service providers have some restrictions so try to download a firmware for your country or which is for your neighbour countries. And there will be no problems. I am not from Europe and i have tried firmwares of European countries.
Thanks all for your help, but is there any alternative of samsung-updates .com ? Their download links are the worse thing I ever seen in my life, I takes me 4h to download at a limited speed and the download failed once.

Hi Guys!
Need some help on this thing, hope someone can clear some doubts and give me some advice too... The thins is this, I used to have a Samsung Captivate Galaxy S (Yes, hard to believe I squeeze that thing to the last drop LOL, I flashed SlimRom, wich was a pretty light ROM I think, and keep it as clean as possible always), Im from Mexico, and also Im that type of guy marketing doesnt make hard effect on me... anyway, recently a co-worker offered me this new one, at a very good price, almost brand new, so I got it.
As you can figured it out, It is a long time now since I made my last flashes, upgrades, etc... And now I want to do it again, but if possible I would like to do it the right way.
Here are my S4 settings:
Soft Version: LV720VPUFNG2
Model: SPH-L720
Android: 4.4.2
Baseband Version: L720VPUFNG2
Already Rooted and I've already installed TWRP Ver: 2.8.4.0
I got it already SIm Unlocked.
My Career Network is GSM.
The main reason I want to flash a ROM is to get rid of all the crap Samsung installs, I would like to install a light-weight (Lollipop if possible) but a with all the functions that I aleady have, like Air gesture, Screen Mirroring, Bluetooth, Wifi, etc...
So I would really appreciate if someone can advice me with one good, light-weight-clean ROM, Lollipop if possible... ( I remember back when I was flashing Captivate, SlimROMS where something like Im looking now)
Also, If a make backup before flashing and if I got problems while flashing, By reverting to my backup, Would I have it again working like it was? I mean modem, bootloader, etc.?
My main concern is to be able to back if I have a not-working flash, as this is my new and only cellphone.
Many Thanks in advance. BTW, Hope my english is understandable
No one? :/ Well, I'll keep it more simple lol
If I flash some ROM, I would have the same baseband/modem I already have right?
So if I flash for example, Exodus ROM, I'll end up with Android 5.1.1(I think thats the last one of that ROM) but keeping my baseband as it is now, NG2.
It Should work?
Please I really appreciate if someone can just clear this doubts before I proceed.
Technically speaking, Yes. You should be able to keep your baseband and modem since you're not flashing anything like that over odin, or if the ROM file itself isn't programmed to do such things.

Thanks for your answer man, and just for the last question, Do you know where I can find Stock ROMS, baseband and modems? (In case I need them)
I found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303917
But It looks like is not truly updated, for example I can't find my baseband version in it.
Btw, Do you know if my modem NG2? Its the last one or not? I've been searching for that info too, but can't find anything updated that I can trust.
Many thanks in advance.

This is for stock firmware's; this means it's an all-in-one stock rom that has the baseband, kernel and modem etc. all inside a single rom file.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SPH-L720/SPR/
For latest info on your system check this
http://support.sprint.com/support/a...ServiceAdvisory_542_GKB51952-dvc7300002prd#!/
As for individual files like just single modems, kernels and basebands just search here. You'll find them, search and google are your friend. And no NG2 is no't the latest, OH1 is.
