Hey Guys,
I have searched the internet for houres. But i cant finde an answer maybe one of u guys have an aswer to my Statusbar problem.
Everything was working fine till yesturday.
On my Samsung Galaxy SII does the Statusbar not work anymore.
It is there but i can not pull it down.
It works fine in Landscape mode.
I am running [Rom][AOKP-M6](AROMA+OTA)Resurrection Remix ICS v2.6 [13/07] Rom.
What i did so far:
2 times restore to a backup where the statusbar was working.
3 times Complet New install (Wipe data / factory reset) to another rom and default rom.
Installed several Statusbar Apps and tryed them out.
Turned it off back on and off again.
Changed setting in the bar and restarted the bar and the phone.
I noticed that the clock in the statusbar disappires in lookscreen. Did not do that before.
I am @ the end of my ways to fine out what the problem is.
U guys are my last hope.
Hallo all! I really HOPE someone might help me with a really annoying issue:
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 Black-Edition (Modelnumber: GT-I9505). From day one I rooted the phone
(CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.tar.md5)
but still use the samsung stock Rom. My Android version is 4.4.2 and I had the genuine firmware-version I9505XXUGNF1 from the Samsung homepage (sammobile).
.. Everything has been working perfectly for about a month, but then suddendly my phone startet to turn off and on again randomly by itself. Note that the turning on is much quicker then the regular booting-up (after I properly shut the system down) and that the autonomious turning on does not require the PIN-code.
I tried to fix this problem by:
- removing the external Memory-Card,
- removing the sim-card,
- deinstalling busybox,
- completly whiping the system (via TeamWin recovery) and installing EVERYTHING from scrach (no Backup-restoring) --> tried this four times!,
- installing the latest firmware-version I9505XXUGNG2,
- changing the battery,
- COMPLETLY canging the device: (installing EVERYTHING from scrach (no Backup-restoring) on a completly new device (new Galaxy S4 Black-Edition)) --> same problem!
--> NOTHING WORKED OUT!!!! So I'm REALLY annoyed about that!
Note, that after a complete restoring of the system, the phone works perfectly for some days - maybe 4-3 - and then the turning-off-and-on terror returns.
I put a screenshot of my battery-trajectory as an attachment. You can see two vertical lines indicating that the phone has turned itself off for a short ammount of time.
Does anyone have an idea what could be the cause for that issue? Is there anyone sharing the same problem? What could I try to solve that problem? Is there mayby a taskmanager-app logging systemerrors, so I could check, what happened before the turning off?
I'm VERY thankful for any sort of help!

Hi Mate,
Not saying this is your problem but i seen some people having issues with the power button , symptoms are similar to your random reboots like in constant reset....check the power button see if is stock and easy way to check is try to go to recovery without pressing the power button.....if is really stuck or short out you should be able to go to recovery without ( for a short time) ....that will prove that the problem is coming from there...
Of course if is very sporadic wait until is happening for testing ..
I had the same problem before because I disabled knox using supersu. What I did was delete all knox related apps and everything is good.
Many users had this problems with Knox as well. Try to uninstall everything relating to Knox, maybe it will work

Well.. What can I say? Thank you SOOOO MUCH!! The problem is solved! Indeed, deleting all Knox-Entries via Titanium Bakup really solved the problem. Now, everything is fine and the system runs smoothly. Again, thank you very much!

Hi PIMPL
am curious about this because today my S4 started to do random shuts off. So your phone never showed the problem again after uninstalling all the Knox stuff? I have an I9500 Android 4.4.2; everything stock, non rooted.
Thanks!

I have the same issue at the moment - Phone is completely standard (Not rooted). All has been good until the morning of the 30th August when there was a new firmware update applied. I had already had the Kit Kat update earlier in August and the phone had been working with no issue, since this 220Mb odd 'patch' the phone will just randomly reboot, I say random but it just seems after it has been idle (Screen off) for a while on unlocking I can start an app (pretty much anything) and about 5 seconds later the phone will reboot. As the OP mentioned it is a faster than normal reboot and it doesn't play the normal start up sound either.
I am not sure what the update did, it mentioned ironically that it was fixing stability issues!!! - Is there a way without rooting the phone to roll back the firmware to before the patch?
Cheers.
Factory reset worked too
I have been struggling with a similar problem on my GT-I9505 since receiving a system update on May 30, 2014 -- random reboots many times a day, plus fairly reliable reboots about 30-40 seconds into any received phone call. I tried cleaning caches, uninstalling recently installed apps and then other unneeded apps, installing new updates, and lots of other things. My last resort was rooting and removing Knox as suggested here. But first I tried a factory reset, and it worked! I've now gone several days without an unintentional reboot. It's a pain to have to restore backups and reinstall apps, but it was worth it. I hope this information is helpful to someone.
Issues on my CF auto-rooted GT i9505
My firmware is the stock I9505XXUGNG8-DBT and rooted with CF Auto-root.and Phill''s CWM.
1. When I wake up my phone by pushing the home button my first screen is frozen until I push the home button again for 2 or 3 seconds. Only since then I can use my apps.
2. By incomming phone calls my phone reboots and I lose contact, so they have to call me again, Then everything is well.
3.The time on my homescreen doesn''t synchronize until I push the home button for the second time waking up the phone .
I already used SSCF Xposed. That didn''t help.
Somebody the same issues. Or somebody who got some tips for me.

I guess this will help. Knox often causes this issues. Just uninstall everything relating to Knox with Titanium Backup

I'm having the same problem as OP.
I've frozen all Knox related apps in Titanium Backup, but the problem persists. Do I need to fully delete the apps do you think? Is there a difference?

I think I solved my problem: I deleted all Knox related items and when I rebooted my phone again it stucks on the Samsung logo. I installed the stock I9505XXUGNG8-DBT again with Odin. Installed CF Auto-root.and Phill''s CWM again. Installed Supersu again.
Now everything is working again without the frozen screen, time synchronizes and no booting by incoming phone call anymore.
hello people of this forum i came here to post 2 problems that i'm having with my LG G2:
1.VR Panorama mode not working , when i try to use it , it leaves the camera screen going back to home screen and a massage that says: camera unavailable due to a temporary problem.
2. when i use swipe to unlock after i didnt touched the phone for about 5 minutes of it being idle , i swipe to unlock and theres a lag that i cant use my phone for few seconds , i tried factory reset , didnt work , i uninstalled a live wallpaper that i had and it got fixed but after about 4 days it came back , anyone knows how to fix these problems?
i did not used any custom rom or something like that i only have root which i used Towel root to root my phone
thanks for everyone that is going to help me fixing these problems.
Hey guys,
after flashing the 5..1.1 rom my Note 4 started to lag at the keyboard after typing few letters or reading the website or in menu.
I use the N910FXXU1COH4 software. The worst part is that it happened yesterday. I havent got lags before (never ever).
Now I've got also lags when I downgrade to 5.0.1
Do you have any idea why this happened? My phone is ofc rooted and I've deleted most of the useless (for me) crap out of it like Instagram, NFC etc.
Do you have this kind of problems with your phone?
Thanks for reply.
I had the same issues you've stated after flashing a 5.1.1 Sweden rom with ODIN.
It lagged like crazy while other aspects were buttery smooth.
After a factory reset and a re-install with ODIN (just the way I did it- not saying it's the correct way of doing it) my phone is running as it should- super quick, smooth and as a Note 4 should be.
So I'd recommend full-wiping and then re-installing the 5.1.1 tar via ODIN.
I've also rooted now too with no issues.
Good luck.
I've got also problem in games. Sometimes the animation just freeze for about 0,5 s and then it runs again. It happens everywhere. And I've got it from yesterday. Dunno whats the problem...
I'm having lags and stutter too my friend, but i'm gonna leave it like this for now and wait for a proper release of 5.1.1 for my country instead of frankenstein mix it like i did now.
If that does not fix the lags im going back to 4.4.4 and never upgrade it again.
Guys, this problem is quite strange.
I've downgraded to 5.0.1 and then to 4.4.4 and every time Ive got lags on keyboard and TW. My phone started to freeze for about 0.5 s - 1 s. Its very annoying and I dont know how to deal with this problem. And it scares me ! Cuz knox is [1] and the warranty went for a walk I guess so i dont know what to do now...
Have you ever this kind of problem with your phone? Even the downgrade did nothing. Before flashing the 5.1.1 system it was fine. Now going down and wiping whole system gives me nothing ;(
Please help! I dont know what to do now...
On cyanogenmod 12.1 works fine. The problem is I guess with the touchwiz systems...
On 5.1.1 touchwiz is also overheating now :/ maybe thats the problem?
So the problem looks like this : After flashing the Swedish 5.1.1 system it all started up.
I can see it in:
1) Games - when it randomly freezes for second
2) Keyboard - after hitting multiply in letters typing something like asidiasjdasijdsaid -> it sudennly stucks and then after about 1 s the button ive smashed shows up in the text message with the lag3
3) touch wiz - after swiping from homescreen to another screen just dont answer and after about again 1s it changes
4) the top bar - with wifi, sounds, brightness, clock, battery etc) also goes down with lag - I swipe with my finger and after 1 second - it react.
5) sometimes it shows the grey suqare at the bottom "Phone is in factory mode" - red letters. It shows only for a while and suddenly disappear.
I've changed every rom now - from 4.4 to 5.1.1 and its still broken! On the Cyanogenmod it works just fine. Something might be broken but I dont know what. Also in cyanogenmod the only game i play have this lags. Other things works fine.
Any solution, what can i do? everything was ok before flashing the 5.1.1? Ive got the EFS folder backuped via TWRP
// EDIT
So - after I've found the backup which I've done just after buying Note I've restored full system (EFS, cache, system etc) and it helped. I guess 5.1.1 flashes makes that my Note 4 had a very bad day.
You can close the topic. My advice is to always have backup ! Glad Ive done it before.
So heres my story, I were flashing a rom which was RR MM by Aditya and after flashing GAPPS, patch and also the front cam fix. I finished setting it up and then when i got into the homescreen it keeps on going on reboot and then goes back to lockscreen and everytime i go open my phone it does this (It triggers every 10 secs of using my phone.) :crying::crying:
I really need to fix this cause I dont know what to do if my parents found out that I broke my phone again
