You have to have qik fring or some other video chat app installed that the other party does and then there's usually tutorials in the app

The phone you make the video call to must be running the same software as the phone initiating the call. For example, both phones must be signed into Qik. You can't place a video call using Qik on your MT4G to a Nokia phone running different software. Hope that helps.
Try Tango for video calls. I have had the best luck with that app so far.
i use yahoo, tango, and oovoo. all have good quality.
tango is the best
Is tango supported on android 2.3 (cm7)?

If you are still running stock mt4g, use yahoo video calling. Its the best.

Nice! So does Tango have a PC capabilities also, or is it only mobile to mobile?

I have used i9023 on skype for vidoe calling with more than 30 mins.
Did you check if the call drop is happening from the other end?
Sorry for the offtopic, but did the newest skype version change your icons while receiving a call?

I got Nexus S day before yday.
I installed Skype from market yday, so I suppose that it's the latest version. But skype video calling doesn't work, I mean I don't see the video call option.
Should be doing something in the settings? Thanks

it seems like skype is aware of this issue with canadian i9020/i9023. skype 2 doesnt seem to recognize it as a nexus s and thus we dont get the video call function. Im not sure when a fix is supposed to come
I just saw this thread, so I figured I would download skype on my NexusS (just got it a week ago). I did a quick test call to my wife who`s out of town and it worked flawlessly. Not sure why it`s not working on some of your phones.

Record call

I am looking for a way to record a phone call. All of the applications that I tried would only record my voice. I even tried rooting my phone and installing dinner of the applications that required root. Being able to record a call is vital in my work. I am willing to install another ROM for the sole purpose of being able to record a call. Do you have any suggestions what I can do?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Free mobile app
This is the only one that works on the N4, as far as I know. You need root to make it work, and it's quite expensive:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.callrecorder&hl=it
But it works perfectly. In the description you can find a link to a trial version so you can check it out.
Thanks I'll try that
