to fix the icon you must be root NFC
do that first, then install the application root browser and give super user permissions
then searches the following path: system / build.prop and press on that file, edit it with the options you of (RB TEXT EDITOR)
looking for the following line
ro.nfc.icon.enable = false change it to true and save the changes, restart your phone and will be corrected icon

primero hazlo, luego instala la aplicacion root browser y dale los permisos del super usuario
luego busca la siguiente ruta: system/build.prop y presiona sobre ese archivo, editalo con una de las opciones que te de (RB TEXT EDITOR)
busca la siguiente linea
ro.nfc.icon.enable =false , cambialo por true y guarda los cambios, reinicias tu celular y estará corregido el icono

I was wondering if we can get a stripped FTF
I have updated using [STOCK][C6603][4.3] Update to 10.4.1.B.0.101 [Root & XZDR][LB/UB] in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2643898
I used that to keep the ROOT, anyhow my phone now says it's C6603 while it is C6602 - (it doesn't really matter) but I was thinking it could drain the battery, because the device will be looking for LTE band - PLEASE CORRECT ME
This is why I was wondering if we can get the FTF stripped

Can you help me? I did flash the rom "generic MEA" 4.2.2, did the root and updated via OTA to 4.3 (10.4.b.0.596), there now appeared to update 10.4.1.b.0.101 via OTA too, but the update was not working. If I download the updated "generic MEA"(10.4.1.b.0.101) and make the flash without WIPE, I will lose the root?

Only download the file, put in the flash tools and flash it, like everything. But you will lose the Root, I belive is better wait for a custom rom.

No the Towelroot not work with the last's builds of kitkat, and XZdual recovery and others mods maybe dont work for the changes in the system, maybe tomorrow or in the next's days, the developers will aggre support for this build.

Towelroot apk is not working because sony"s ric. You have to use easyrootool which disable ric first to root z1. You can use nut"s latest recovery also to root and install recovery in one step. Cheers

it stop at Fota

is anyone else experiencing reboots after flashing the ftf then rooting? or using xzdr to root and install recovery? ive tried the sg ftf and this one and both are doing the same cant figure out what the issue is.
everytime my phone reboots and loads flashtool says root access denied?
i did flash unticking the wipe options though.

Use easy root tool it works on all 4.4.4 firmwares it uses a script to disable Sony ric so towel root can do what it needs to. from what ive read and i also used it on mine

ATTENTION: Remote Play finally works on DRM-LESS Z2 running STOCK LOLLIPOP!

Don't know if this is being discussed already but the latest Playstation App and Remote Play actually WORKS on a DRM-less Z2 running stock Lollipop 5.0.2 (D6503 23.1.A.690, the Generic Baltic IIRC).
I just gave it a spin last night at home and I simply get no more 0x82e01003 or errors alike. The Playstation App logs in and connects - same for the Remote Play. Played lots of DOA 5, it's actually a pretty good feature. Too bad I can't take screenshots from the Remote Play!
Camera gets noisy and X-Reality won't work, as usual.
So, we are almost there! If we only get BIONZ working, it'll be the device of the gods! ;P

Yep, i cant mirroring beacuse a lost DRM keys, i was wondering if there is fix for this.

On locked bootloader and keys intact I get that error code anyway and since lollipop I can't even connect to to my ps4 anymore

I'm on a locked bootloader as well and flashed a rooted Nordic ROM via xzdualrecovery (which no longer works). No errors encountered on remote play on mine though.

Ok guys so i Decided to take one for the Team and tried the indian version of the 5.1.1 g920i rom.
Good news! Everything works perfectly, even the 4g, with was main main concern. I just suggest a dirty flash to keep your phone in the same language you have now.
You can also use locale to change your language back if you did a clean flash.
Well, that's it, give it a try if you want a taste of lollipop....

i'm using vivo, but for what i have read in the specs, they all match the brazlian version.

This Rom have Portuguese- BRASIL ?
Because i using the Indian version and don't have this language. Just have english and indian.

Sorry to bother you here, but I created a thread asking about a similar procedure I want/need and so far nobody has replied.
I have a Sm-G920i with Australian Firmware (PDA and CSC), I just want to be sure that I don't screw this phone as this is paid by my office and can't take the risk to trip Knox or disable any of the original feature and future ones like Samsung Pay.
So, are you so kind and answer me a couple of questions?
1-) Did you use Odin, if so, just selected regular options and flashed, nothing special for this kind of things?
2-) It's obvious it didn't fail you, there are people saying that doing this fails with odin, but now that you flashed it, do you have PDA and CSC from India also? Do you know if future OTA updates are possible?
3-) Is everything working normal, all radios, fingerprint etc...? I'm assuming it should as it just an official version flashed, but just want to be sure.
4-) Have you read or do you know something about that supposedly, once you flash this Rom from India Samsung Pay won't work on it?
5-) Do you know the previous specific Region you had (PDA and CSC) can you check the ones that it's currently showing?

Depois de desistir, formatei meu aparelho e ja estava desconsolado e aceitando a derrota, mas nao sei pq eu resolvi recuperar um Back-up da minha conta samsung (eu havia feito a uns dias)
Para a minha surpresa o Pr-br foi ativado, embora se eu for em idiomas e entrada nao exista lá o nosso idioma

I despaired when I realized that I installed 5.1.1 Rom had English and Indian, but had not en.
After giving up, I formatted my system and was already disconsolate and accepting defeat, but do not know because I decided to recover a Back-up my samsung account (I had done a few days)

i did a dirty flash and mine was in portuguese right out of the box. Anyway, it is not hard to change the language on the phone.

2. Pda and csc are from india now, and since i haven't rooted i guess OTA will work fine. Since the model is the same and i can't wait for brazilian carriers to update the phone, i'll keep instaling whatever rom is released first for this phone.
3. Everything is fine and dandy
4. I thing samsung pay won't work on this rom. They don't have it in india or Brazil, so no changes for me here.
5. i had the brazilian pda and csc. Now it's from india.

I really appreciate your response. Just one thing, about Samsung Pay, right now, it hasn't been released yet, so nobody had it, but a quick Google search for Samsung Pay India tells me sonething different, according to dozens of articles I found, apparently India and most if not all regions will be able to use Samsung Pay.
When I asked about it, it was more like I asked that by doing this something was tripped or flagged and teeth Samsung Pay won't work, but if because of the market, I think we safe by asking that it should work when is released.

Mine was an Australian baseband, I flashed this Rom with Odin and everything works as expected, only thing you will notice is that if you connect to Smart Switch app for PC or MAC it will still detects the Original CSC, I was curious about it and installed Phone info apk and it shows correctly the information, both PDA and CSC are now from India but it shows that the Original CSC was XSA (In my case), Firmware's CSC code is INU (India) and Active CSC code it says XSA/INU, so I'm assuming that it's showing multiple CSC.
Does somebody know if having the Active CSC showing XSA/INU causes future OTA issues?
**Edit**
I decided to remove the Re-activation Lock in Find My Mobile settings, and after that and enter to recovery mode, it changed the CSC to India, so for those of you with same issues, remember about Re-activation lock.

I live in Honduras, central America, got the 920I and yesterday I got a message about the OTA update which said it was 5.1.1. Haven't tried it because I'm not at home and there's no Wi-Fi in here.

Go to Settings-Language and Input-Language and choose Portugues (Brasil).

Has anyone got the official Android N update for the Moto G4 (XT162x)?

I've seen various reports of people saying they've got the update for their XT1640s.
But only three reports about the regular, non-Plus G4, XT162x.
So have any of you got it?
Build number is NPJ25.93-11 -- This is the final version and has been rolling out officially in Brazil since December 6th, although in stages, and very few (and i mean really few) users were able to update their phones.
Mine didn't get it yet.
If you received it, what is the size of the OTA? And is it fluid and stable?
