I bought 9 months used moto g LTE 1 gen last week, and unlucky now I see new moto e LTE with better battery and 64 bit hardware which is more futuristic in my opinion. Resolution and camera isn't important for me in this case.
Moto e seems to be more interesting, because i want smartphone for next 2 maybe 3 years, after that 64 bit should be more useful (app written in 64 would be not compatible with moto g) and moto e is newer so probably will be developed longer from now.
What's your opinion about moto e? Is there sth what disappointed you while you used that? Would you reccomend it? (There is too little feedbacks about it on the internet) Should I sell moto g LTE and buy moto e LTE? Costs will be almost the same.

Since the 5.1 update this phone is very snappy and responsive. I recommend it. The only issue I have (as others) is the mic is on the back which makes calls sometimes bad. The easy cure is to cup your hand at the bottom of the phone when talking, but other than that I love the size, feel, and use of it. I use it more than my Note 3.

I've had S3 some time ago, got rid of it because of the mmc brick bug. Now I have SP... In my own day to day comparison S3 was making way better photos and there were never any issues with the android itself like in SP.

Touchwizz is most heavy than Xperia overlay.
I've had the alcatel idol 3 for a few months. Its pretty much pure android and my first pure android phone. I love it, its awesome, but i want a bigger device and i'm done with other oems. Im not buying anything other than pure android for now on. So i'm stuck between the nexus 6 which in theory is faster than the lg g4, and the new moto x pure. I'd love to try out a 6 inch screen, im just fine with lugging it around but the moto x does have the micro sd card. so im hoping you guys can help me come to a decision.
I have the Nexus 6 and it is a awesome phone. I will never buy a carrier branded phone again. Pure android is the way to go for me. I am thinking about buying the Moto X Pure mainly because of the sd card slot and the moto assist features. Both are great choices.

moto x if you want sd card
moto x if you use voice commands a lot.
the X's software enhancements are geared towards using voice commands
One day I hope that google includes these little tweaks into stock android down the line
Customization of "Ok Google' so something as simple as a TV commercial or my daughter on her ipad activating my phone.
When using a voice command to make a call, it automatically goes to speakerphone because most likely if you used your voice to dial you can't really hold the phone. (optional)
Say "what's up" and it will read your unread notifications.
Say "Find my phone" and it will start ringing so you can locate it.
The drive assist is probably my favorite. There are 3rd party apps that do similar things but none of them are refined as moto's implementation.
twist to launch camera
chop chop to launch flashlight
Camera software in moto x has burst mode and slow mo which the N6 doesn't
MicroSD
Nexus 6
bigger screen with amoled display if that's your thing
better GPU
stock android if you're not into the moto features
faster updates
bigger battery (not necessarily means better battery life due to other factors)
I have the nexus 6 and i've been waiting and trying my best to find alternatives to the features my moto x 2013 has and that's pushing me to make the jump to the moto x pure.
Don't forget about the camera, apparently the Moto X Pure is going to be a big difference.
If you want a big screen Nexus, why not wait till the new Nexus phones drop in about a month?

I'm in the same boat! Want a Nexus 6 because of Project fi but also holding out to see if the Moto X Style (Pure) will work on fi.
I love my N6 its a great phone at least for me coming from a locked down Note 4 vzw. My reason for switching is the sd card and the better camera, the N6 camera while not the worse its not that great compared to others. Also the slightly smaller size will bet better for my pocket.
I think either is a good option.

I've had both the Idol 3 and the Nexus 6. I'm hoping that either the Pure or Huawei Nexus ends up being a good choice for me. I like the lightness and thin profile of the Idol 3. The N6 is a brick by comparison. I'd love to have that weight and size in a more powerful phone that has the kind of ROM/kernel/root support that the N6 has. I'm hoping that either the Pure or Huawei Nexus matches my wishes. I like it that the Pure is almost the exact same size as the Idol 3, other than thickness. And at 5.7", the screen is only a quarter inch smaller than the N6's. I look forward to having a look at its display. The Pure should be faster than the N6 and it supports a Micro SD card, a very nice convenience. It has the benefit of similar technology, but a year newer.
I'd also wait until the end of the month to have a look at the Huawei Nexus. It's very likely to have all the benefits of a Nexus phone, a major plus when you get used to that. We'll find out how the details of it play out.

That's compelling for people who don't need microSD slot in their phone. Nexus 6 32GB is 100$ cheaper than Moto X Pure 32GB. That's very big savings! Not for me though... I want my microSD slot, better camera and stereo front speakers.
I would say go for the Moto X Pure. I have the LG G4 and I absolutely love it... but I'm switching to the Moto X Pure and am choosing it over the Nexus 6 simply because of the size fits more realistically, the camera is MUCH improved over the Nexus 6 and Moto Assist features take the stock Android experience to a new level.

Ended up getting a white 64gig Nexus 6. Yeah it doesn't have a micro SD card but I'll manage to get over it. Waiting to see if someone gets Google fi working on the Moto X Style Pure before unpacking the N6. If so, then back to Amazon the N6 goes

So it is confirmed guys. Our beloved Xperia Z2 will be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Unfortunately, Sony dropped Z and Z1 series. What do you think guys? When it will be available?
If they leave Z1 than in future android 7 wont be relesed for our Z2 but it will be on Z3 whitch will be as you know big misunderstanding.
Tapatapatap Z2
Yes, I think that Marshmallow will be last ever update for Z2.
Wysłane z mojego D6503 przy użyciu Tapatalka
I think not, because Z2 and Z3 is in the same family (shinano) so they will be updated together.
It doesn't matter, Z3 is newer phone than Z2, besides Z2's support cycle is ending in this year I think.
Right, look what motorola did with moto g 2013- it wont get android M but moto g 2014 whitch have the same spec (s400, 1gb ram) will get android M. Anyway Sony is making very good job with updates compare to other companys. If Z3 gets android 7 it will be very easy to port to our Z2. Meanwhile have fun with android M on Z2.
Tapatapatap Z2
Xperia Z got 5.1 which the device is out dated by sonys usual policies and Z1 is also almost there so we will have to see if 6.0 is really the last one.
I have a decent doubt that 6.0 wont be the last android revision at all for z2
But Z2 and Z3 have merged sources, I thought anything that's released for Z3 can be used on Z2

This means it's the last big update for the Z2. You won't see stock Android 7.0 for the Z2.
z2 and z3 are same
i also wonder why would anybody buy z3 with paying more money
so i believe they will get updates both
Considering the roms from the Z3 are almost interchangeable with the Z2 it would be kind of dumb to develop Android 7 for the Z3 and not release it for the Z2. My guess is that they would terminate both at the same time, but then again, I could be wrong.
I think if the Z2 won't get update after 6.0, then Z3 won't get too. Like now the Z1 and Z Ultra. End of lifetime of the Z is expected. Z released in 2013 feb., 2,5 years ago, Z Ultra 2013 jul., almost 2,5 years ago and Z1 2013 sep., 2 years ago. Z2 released in 2014 mar., 1,5 years ago and Z3 2014 sep., 1 year ago. So, I think after 6.0 we (owners of Z2) will see at least one major update.
Perfect!

Great news !
Well, I used a 6.0 for couple of days on a nexus, and I think, that it does not worth it. Really. ui has just a few changes, not even close to kitkat->lollipop upgrade.
Like it usually is, battery performance went down with the upgrade on a Nexus device.
And the last - added even more Google spy blootware.
My opinion - it does not worth any attention.
Just got notification for 23.4.A.1.264.
changelog?
Via pc companion, didn't say anynthing
So I am looking for an Wear OS watch. Any ideas for a good watch and overall good. I had a Sony smart watch 3 and it was nice for what it was but looking for something better. Got a Nexus 6p for my phone.
Maybe Huawei Watch 2 or Ticwatch Pro.

If you want a cheap but good quality wear OS device, I suggest Ticwatch E. Changeable straps, android oreo, 24hr battery life, good build quality.
I can recommend the TicWatch Pro. A really nice device. First I had a Ticwatch E, but it's a plastic device and the haptical feeling is really cheap.
In terms of quality and design i can recomand emporio armani hugo boss ot tommy hifigher watch but in terms of features and battery all three are averege. Ticwatch pro is best option on marchet rigt now but all big producers are lawnching theyre new watches like huawei watch 3, lg urban 3, moto 360 3rd gen all are wright around the corner.

I really enjoy my Fossil Sport. Battery lasts me a day and half to two. Good for fitness, waterproof, and has the new chipset so it should only get better with the next WearOS update.
Also it's on sale now for less than $200 so it's a steal!

I got a fossil q g4 explorer and the Micheal Kors I like em both
I was finally time to retire my gear s2
Im a mechanic and its lasted over a year no issues But I the battery is killed over in the last few weeks
Is it still OK to "resurrect" a 1 year old post? Damn, last time I used xda was a life ago.. Anyway, back here for searching the same thing: Which smartwatch to buy.
I researched a bit and as for now, the 4 best choices are:
1) Fossil Sport
2) Ticwatch Pro
3) Huawei watch 2
4) Skagen Falster 2
But all of them are "some months old" already. So, not sure if waiting for the new generation or "f*** it imma get it anyway".
2) Ticwatch Pro
I have almost all Wear Watch (and Huawei 2) but the Ticwatch Pro is for far the better. 2nd LCD screen for always ON and not light emited like a lighthouse. Large OLED screen 1.4". Better battery life for all wear watch. Real innovation for a watch.
Last 4 posters: did you know that it's a year old thread?
Anyway I'm using Fossil Gen 3 and happy with it. The Gen 4 only ads NFC...
If you you are interested in a ticwatch, there is now a limited $50 / €50 off using code "Mobvoi50TY" during checkout. Will make the Ticwatch Pro even a better price/performance

Hi,
I'm thinking of upgrading my old and beloved Nexus 6 to something newer and faster.
I am looking at the brand new Xiaomi Poco F1 and Mi Mix 2S because I could buy them for a good price.
Unfortunately, neither of them include an Amoled display which makes me feel hesitant - I really don't know if it's a good option to go from amoled to LCD.
What are your opinions?
I love my Shamu, but I'm slowly looking for a newer and faster phone.
Wysłane z mojego Nexus 6 przy użyciu Tapatalka
I'm not familiar with your market or the price point that you're trying to stay under. Between the 2 phones you listed, I would go with the mi mix 2s.
Are there any other phones available to you that you would consider? I'm in NA. I upgraded from the N6 to the OP5T after the OP6 was released to avoid paying the full price for the OP5T. That was a significant jump in performance for me. I chose OP because of the strong XDA community support. I currently own and daily drive the OP7P (which I bought after they announced the release of the OP8 series).
2.5 years later and I still don't see good replacement on the market. Sure, there are some nice phones with dual speakers and flat screens, I own 8T since around the time you posted that thread and I'm more or less happy.
Still, every now and then, I just wish I was able to have something a bit more wider (82-84mm+).
It could have a bigger battery then.
