New shortcut I just realized in Contacts app - Galaxy S6 General

While going through my contacts in list form on my S6 contacts app, I just realized that if you swipe left to right on the contact name, it calls the contact. If you swipe right to left, you message the contact.
Nice touch there!

Too late, was there since the galaxy s3.

First time using Samsung?
This feature is there since Samsung Galaxy S3, which means 3 years ago.

Your enthusiasm is greatly appreciated, although my guess is you have never owned a Samsung device, right? I've been doing this since the S2 era. Nice touch indeed.

You guys are correct. I've been HTC all the way since the EVO 4G. I just thought the M9 was the first uncompetitive phone in a long time and moved to the S6.

TMobile officially ends the galaxy note!

It's official, TMobile has cut the galaxy note out. Why? Probably has to do with the fact that the note 2 is around the corner. And I waited all this time for the note to come out on TMobile! Late to the party note, thanks. Although I did get a note and I love it for it's huge display and stylus, there is nothing else impressive about this phone. All I can do now is wait for the note 2, will be announced thus month on the 29th, and enjoy the last few breaths this note has left,in it.

Well, besides the brick-bug which can easily be avoided, what is there to dislike? I mean, other than the quad-core behemoths, the Note is still a very powerful device and the large screen plus S Pen just add to its capabilities. If you don't find a use for the S Pen, or larger screen, then why not just get an Galaxy S3 or HTC One X rather than wait for the Note 2?

IM guessing that's directed at me since you did quote me. X) I actually traded my have for the TMobile note last week. I love the big screen and the stylus, but the note could have definitely used more ram. Most of the time at Any given usage the note is occupying more than %85 of ram and it's clearly obvious. I love the note, just wish the size matched it's internal hardware specs. Note 2 is ganna rock.
Sent from my SGH-T879 using xda app-developers app
Speaking about RAM, yes I agree Note has bare minimum available to run smoothly. When I run Tasker with sweet sounding Loquendo TTS engine announcing vital info, things start to load afresh when apps are switched.

[Q] SO any HTC One owners here?

Anyone considering changing for the Galaxy S4?
I'm a little tempted but dunno if its worth the trade. Like my One but not overly fused on Sense. Anyone in the same boat as me?
Had 4 faulty HTC Ones, s4 replacement coming in 10 days.

i wasn't a big fan of TouchWiz, but since i started working at Samsung, i've come to love the whole TW experience.. it has a LOT of cool features, which are copied in other custom roms, but that cannot compare to the original apps by Samsung..
i agree that HTC has nice hardware, but i have a S4 now and i wouldn't want any other device, it's simply amazing!
3 faulty ones so getting Samsung s4 next week

Seriously we should be able to make comparisons here without it getting immature.
I was looking at the htc one but seems like build quality issues and some people just dont like blink feed. As pretty as it is, I think I like the samsung form factor better as well as the options for removable battery/sdcard samsung gives you. And that dual shot feature, oh man I got ideas

Its a question aimed at people who own the One like me but are considering the S4, but seems like HTC haters feel the need to comment without using the One. So wrong people answering my question.

Shamesung.
It's messed up.
Very sad but nothing new. Almost all major corporations engage in shifty practices such as this. However, they do not all get caught.
To give a bit of a perspective as to why I am moving from the one to the s4
I am not a HTC hater yes my last couple of phones have been Samsung but I thought of give HTC a go on my next upgrade and boy do I regret it
I don't regret it because it's HTC because in fact before my sammy days I always bought HTC I hate it because HTC sent out a brand new flagship with major issues
My first one had gone button problems and the camera when video recording was awful it had a high pitched hiss on it
My second had proximity sensor problems , the lights on home and back didn't work and worse still the screen wasn't sealed so white could be seen
The third which broke the camels back and made me change to the s4 on launch had once again home / back button problems
The one is a beautiful device but it's full of qa issues
So to Sammy I go again I'm hoping the s4 is perfect and I wish id waited for the s4

HTC is probably a year from getting sold to another company. I loved my One X, but they hosed the deployment by succumbing to AT&T locking the boot loader and then released the One X+ too soon.
They are circling the drain. Their delays on the One will probably kill them this time, that and once again locking the boot loader on the One on AT&T.

A cautionary tale on S-Note

I have happily used it for more than a year without any hitch. I bought a Note 10.1 but that was private and the phone was employer's. The time came for new phones but we could keep the Note if we wanted. In order to keep the two devices in sync I removed my Samsung account and added a new account with the same name as I have on the Note 10.1. Alas, now all my old notes are no longer. I could get back some of them by once more returning to my old account. However, it seems backup doesn't occur very frequently because all notes written during the last week are new home forever and there are no frequency settings for the Samsung account.
Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk HD
post a query on it at Samsung. Its a valid feature request I guess.
Is there no way to share notes? You could try sending them to your new account.

A Hummingbird

I was sitting on my porch, letting my dog walk on the yard when a hummingbird flew to our little feeder beside me. It scared me cause its wings are so loud, but when I noticed what it was, it immediately made me think of this special place. Little old Epic and its Hummingbird cpu. I don't frequent XDA anymore, but I miss the fun that we used to have right here.
I would've posted in the dedicated off topic thread, but I have the last post in there, didn't want to double post :/

Sold my Xperia Mini Pro yesterday, even though it was once #1 on my 2nd-hand item wishlist...
Epic is now an awkward device in my hand particularly because it's such a nice phone for cell calls and texting yet it's not a global phone (and I'm on China Mobile, GSM)... But being the 1st capable Android phone I've acquired, especially given how my bought-and-sold HTC Dream and Moto Milestone performed, Epic is always to stay beside my pillow for bedtime TWRP fun! Sure hope that would be how most E4Gs end their life...
And as of now, to be off-topic, T-Mo's Relay 4G is Epic's proper GSM sequel (current wishlist #1). While on Sprint there's only the Photon Q, and Verizon the age-old Droid 4. Again, so lucky of us to have one of the first (after HTC Dream, of course) 5-row QWERTY Android phone!

picture issue

Not sure if this is where to post, but decided to start here. Whenever my sister takes a picture, within 5 min, it appears in her boyfriend's gallery. She has a Sprint S5, he has an HTC M8. I've already turned the sync off for Picasso thinking that was it, but no luck on that. They share a Sprint acct, but it's not happening with their kids phone, just her phone. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
