I'm a little out of topic but I'm intrusted in the phone I have found mixed specs.
so i have a few questions:
1. How is the phone in general?
2. is there a micro SD slot?
3. Is the camera 5 or 8 mega pixel?
4. is the battery removable?

LG Leon Rooting
Yes I'm in newbie status....lol
Thanks so much for this thread. I just bought this phone Friday and to my shear horror found out that it only had 8GBs of internal memory. I need to root the phone so I can transfer apps to the SD card. Google has made it where apps go to the internal memory by default. Some can be moved through the app settings, unfortunately, most of them can't. I hope someone makes a Youtube rooting vid soon. I have the MetroPCS version. The phone isn't super magnificent, but hell, for the price (free) I took advantage of the deal. I'm also a little annoyed by the lack of an LED indicator. I just downloaded the NoLED app to take care of that issue. I'm already thinking about upgrading to the LG G Stylo.
Do you have the Tmobile or the Metro PCS version? Do you know if the Tmobile version has a SD card slot? Do you have a picture of the SD card slot? Thanks in advance

HI! I would imagine all LG Leon's are built the same, I have Metro. I can't take a pic, I don't have an extra camera.....take the battery cover off, look over on the right edge of the phone toward the bottom and you will see the slot for the SD card. You don't have to remove the battery. Hope that helps. I caught hell trying to find it also...lol

Hey guys....
I know people are complaining about security issues with Kingroot.....but I'll go ahead and tell you, it worked flawlessly with the LG Leon. I followed a YT tutorial because I saw the Lollipop 5.0.2 version listed. If you aren't afraid of the supposed security issues, give it a try. I can't post the link because I'm a newbie....go to YT and search for "root any android lollipop 5.0.2".
Kingoroot worked for me in android lollipop 5.0.1 .Guys how you have 5.0.2 ? How is that possible? I look over in LG Suite and i have the H340C version ..
LG Leon 4G don't have 5.0.2 update.
It does have 5.0.2.. I have been trying to unlock it and have failed miserably. I have the H345, will try to root and report back in due time.
Just to update: Got the phone today from T-Mobile (Free some $150 rebate ish) and it does have 5.0.2, but seems unlock incapable at the moment due to the sequence not flashing the unlock code screen.
Going to attempt to root in via the LG OneClick method, let's see!
Root working on 5.0.2 via LG OneClick v1.3 GUI (didn't work with 1.2 batch)
I don't know why some versions of LG Leon has 5.0.2 update. i stuck in 5.0.1 on my H340n
Might be because this is the H345 and not 340

I thought link2sd was recommended method for 4. 4 and later and that full amount was considered dead or dangerous?

I bought this LG Leon for $40 at MetroPCS here in Augusta,GA. Its got the 8G internal memory with 4 already used in system. It has microSD slot that is accessible w/o removing battery. Mine came with lollipop 5.0.2. and the camera is pretty lame. My old Optimus F60(LGMS395) had way better camera. I'm running all stock and it's pretty quick considering the 8G memory.

Hello,
tomorrow I will get LG G2 D802 International version 16 GB and have few basic qestion
1. Do I need root to put CyanogenMod 11 ?
2. Which recovery should I use to flash costum rom? I see TWRP, CWM and philz. Can I just download one of these from google play or have to install from .img file?
3. Is bootloader factory unlocked in d802 international version or should I do something to be able to root my phone?
4. Should I do a backup (EFS folder?) my original stock room with all detalis (IMEI etc.) or could i really use LG link update with put original IMEI at the end of this link
HTML:
csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b...heck2.jsp?esn=
If need to backup, then how? I mean when i will need to use my warranty
5. What is Xposed for G2?
6. Which gapps should I install for cm-11-20140405-SNAPSHOT-M5-d802 it's 4.4.2 or 4.4?
7. What is diffrence between TWRP image version install and version from google play?
8. it would be beneficial to install a different kernel in cyanogenmod than original one?
9. Im looking for fastest camera app (I used iPhone 4 before and camera was pretty fast, about 3 pics per second and i really love it) speed is more important than quality. [speed > quality]
10. How could I root and install recovery to put costum rom when I get my G2 and android 4.4.2 KK will be installed? should i downgrade to 4.2.2 ore something else?
11. I heard that camera lens is susceptible to scratches, how can I protect it (I dont like any cases, I ve never used any) Maybe foil or something? I'm looking for something that does not affect the optimal image quality
sorry for english btw.
THANKS FOR HELP
feeling
1. Yes.
2. Your choice.
3. No, it is locked.
4. I didn't but it is advised.
5. It is an app full of Xposed framework tweaks to go along with the Xposed framework.
6. 4.4.2.
7. No difference in terms of the recovery, just a different install method.
8. it depends on what you want a custom kernel for, overclocking etc. The CM11 kernel is stable.
9. The stock LG camera app is pretty speedy imo, but so is the stock CM11 camera app.
10. If it comes pre installed with 4.4.2 (which it shouldn't at this time) you can either downgrade to 4.2.2 or wait for a root and recovery install for 4.4.2.
11. I've had mine months without a case and i don't nave any scratches.
You are supposed to read the forum. Your thread is about you being too lazy to do some work for yourself.
Thanks for all your help, I have already got my LG G2 and with CyanogenMod it works great and smooth! Didnt like this ugly LG stock ROM.
But now I can report few issues with CyanogenMod 11 M5 version for my D802
Sometimes I got Trebuchet suspended, it looks like here: [to fix it I need to settings > homescreen > search bar > deselect and select again]

Second issue is that in quick settings is not in the middle and i have space from the right which looks not good ( I know this is a small detail but in CM 10 worked good).
Third issue is probems with bluetooth, when i turned it on and off and again on, bluetooth was not able to start and resulting suspended.
Also had some problems with transfer files from my laptop to G2 by MTP USB cable [Windows 7 x64] Many many times transfer just stopped at copying]

That's kind of mean. It looks like he already did a lot of research as he's asking the right questions, it looks like he just needs some reassurance/confirmation as to what his idea of the process is correct. He asked in the right section too, so not too bad.
As for OP, I can't comment on your CM11 questions as I use SlimKat personally, but I have the same issue with transferring files where it looks like it just stops and hangs. Weird thing is, it actually still transfers the file correctly even though it hangs and you have to close it. Just leave it be and wait for it to close.
I was trying to transfer a new ROM and it hanged, but upon checking the MD5 it looks like it fully transferred. Enjoy your new G2!

Hi evryone.
Recently I came across this guide, and it worked fine for me.
So I wrote a tool that basically does the same thing, just make things easier.
This method should work on any LG G3 official firmware (4.x.x / 5.x.x), and on other models too.
Please leave your feedback if it worked for you, and indicate whether you used the graphical user interface or the old script.
And if it's didn't worked, please attach here the log from the window.
Notes
I saw a lot of questions of G3 users about how to install Twrp after the root, so I will explain briefly:
For now, if you are on stock lollipop you can't just flash Twrp via flashify etc like the old days in KitKat, but you can follow this guide over here.
After the root, if you want for some reason (warranty etc) to unroot the phone, all you need to do is a full unroot from the SuperSU settings.
I don't know if this is enough to get OTA updates back, I'm still waiting for somebody else to answer this question. so please don't ask me about this any more because I really don't know the answer.
Devices confirmed working with this method (If your device isn't listed it's most likely still supported)
LG G3 (all variants)
LG G3 Beat
LG G2
LG G2 Mini
LG G Pro 2
LG G Pad
LG F60
LG L90
LG Tribute
LG Spirit
LG Volt
LG G Vista

good news . tonight I will try it.
So is this taken care of already in this root method. Will I have fast boot and laf after root?
What do I have worry about having an unsecured boot loader. What approach should I take for having root+fastboot+laf.
Do not work in D855 with 20A Lollipop version.

Dear All ,
Motorola Turbo Edition was recently released here in India , unfortunately it was released with 5.1.1 & there was no sign of it anywhere getting a Marshmallow Update . When i recently stumbled upon an article on TechDroid.com of MotoG(TE) having an official update for it . But the problem was the author of the article as well the source haven't posted the method reliable to do it . Some suggested to flash it by keeping it in the root of the SD card and flashing it via recovery others insisted that it is only possible with ADB only to do it . To them with all due respect the methods was not successful & resulted in errors like
E: footer is wrong
E: Signature verification failed
Installation aborted
When i stumbled upon a youtube video from Mexican Author ( Android LatinoAmerica Pro )
who had shown the steps to flash an official Moto G (TE ) without any hassles .
Without further delay here are the Prerequisites & steps mentioned below .
Keep in mind i am not responsible for any hiccups or breakage during the process !!! ( You Have Been Warned )
Pre-Requisites :
Motorola Drivers : you can download motorola device manager from Here
Install the Device Manager & go to developer options to enable usb debugging
Next you will be requiring the 6.0 Rom from Here
After downloading the rom unpack it
Next you will be requiring a software for flashing official apps called RSD Lite you can download it from below the post .
When you install it it should open like so :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After that do this :
>After that Power Off the device
>Boot in fastboot mode by pressing Volume Down (-) button & power button Simultaneously
>Attach the USB Cable you will see usb port number 1 as being connected
> Press the Start button & let the magic happen after flashing the device will boot itself
>First boot will take time have patience
Say thanks if this post has helped you all the Moto G Turbo Edition Fans out there

I don't but you can I just didn't want to risk messing up my 64gb microSD but I think people do the partitioning so they can reformat that part of there SD card to be recognised as internal memory kind of like what is standard in marshmallow. But it works just fine for me I just have to manually export everything over to SD through the apps2sd but they have a option for batch transferring to SD which is helpful

Awesome, I updated mine through ruu on windows 10, had a couple problems telling me it failed but I just left the phone on the screen that ruu put me on to update and closed the program then reopened ruu and tried again it took a couple times restarting the program for it to finally send the update make sure you have your drivers installed and run ruu as a administrator.

Any ideas if this RUU will work on my Cricket variant? I've searched the web/forums but couldn't find an answer.
Much obliged,

I know but I didn't had the time and the necessary resources to do it . I was also a Little afraid for the bootloop problem.

Not sure if you know about it, but your phone is basically showpiece from showrooms or shops, that's the X in your version number. This kind of phones are not intended to be sold for customers.
You will never got more updates as you already have, so your only option is to flash it manually.
Bootloop problem is not dependant on software version. It doesn't matter if you have 5.1 or 6.0.

Do you have an accurate source to backup your wild claims?
My EU (UK) H815 v20d-EUR-XX is currently downloading the update.
No need for a manual flash and my device certainly was not a store demo model.
Hello,
My G4 is unlocked and ROOTED and the update is available and in downloading atm.
There are something I should to know about the fact that my smartphone ROOTED evening before applying the update?
Could this affect my G4?
Thank you! =D

Sure,
We are not talking about the same thing.
Look again, and maybe twice at his version number: It's is VX10c-EUR-XX
I'm not talking about XX, but about the first "X"... see?
Sure, your device is the same as mine v20d-EUR-XX which is a retail model, but this is not the case for VX10C-EUR-XX which is unfortunately a demo model
Ok, finally, it seems that I can't update automatically with a G4 ROOTED.
When I launch the update this message pop "phone restarting"
Then boot directly on TWRP... (>_<)
So obviously I can't execute this update automatically... :'(

Off you can't. You have another recovery. Use LG UP and flash it. Easier can't be. Note you will lose root and the recovery.

Me too same model. I don't know what they're talking about. Store models can't even make calls and this deters people from trying to steal them.

Same. Luckily, they seem to have deleted the update so you need to redownload. At least we don't have 500MB lurking somewhere.

Go to thread about the Portugal update and download the KDZ from there. Any link from that thread is the international H815 update. Don't worry about countries and shenanigans is the same firmware for all. V20g-EUR-XX. Install LG UP on your PC. First the DLL then the program. Place the KDZ in your LG UP install directory (Crogram Files (x86)/LG Electronics/LGUP/model/8994). Put your phone in download mode. (With phone turned off press Volume UP and with it press plug in the USB cable). Click refurbished option for a complete wipe and clean flash. Before all this make a backup. You can also select upgrade option to avoid wipe but I always recommend a clean flash. Read the according threads in XDA for further information if you need.
It seems the h818p will not be updated(yet)?
@src151 thanks for the info. I didn't knew that demo phones can have the GSM module. At least I got it at a very good price
I will upgrade manually then.
