Any way to use the voice unlock feature on Verizon galaxy s5? If Verizon has disabled it is there a way to enable it if you are rooted?
You need to go in to google now settings where you sey up ok google and it should be there, i dont know why tapping on the setting in smart lock does nothing but you can enable it in google settings.

This post mentions the S4 having the Auto Unlock Zone feature which disables the lockscreen when you are on a trusted WiFi network:

Auto unlock zone
You can add several "home" Wi-Fi networks and the lockscreen will be disabled when the Galaxy S4 hooks up to one of them. This way you can have a secure PIN lockscreen outside and a quick unlock at home or the office
I can't seem to find this feature on our phone. Does anyone have it working?
I dont see it. i have tried changing lock styles around as well as looking in the wifi settings. unless its in some other hidden corner in the setting menu it might have been something blocked by region or carrier for some reason. you could try asking in that thread and see if anyone can help out. update here if you find something out please. i think thats a pretty cool feature.

I dont see anything there that says how to turn this on?
I'd like to turn this feature on as well. In gsmarenas review it says its there but their review unit had a white settings menu. My guess is that it was removed on the production units. Hope it comes back in later firmware updates.

Has anything new been discovered about this? Not avail on my Sprint unit. Any way to get this feature on?
Looks like a lot of devices are missing this feature. In the mean time you can use HOME UNLOCK for free from the market.

I know under lock screen options there is a face and screen lock, is there anyway to just have a voice unlock?

Yes if you are using TW I think its in the settings of the S Voice app, the default command is "Hi Galaxy" but you can change it to whatever you want.

Nope it's an alternative method you still can unlock the other way.
Now that the SD is being used again. Is OK google possible like it was on the note 4?
Settings --> System (tab) --> Language and Input --> Google voice typing --> "OK Google" detection
This will allow you to simply say "OK Google" from any screen - including the lock screen.
I did this n doesnt work still
Works on mine with screen locked.
I think he wants OK Google to work when the screen is off or when AOD is on. In that case this phone doesn't support that as far as I know.

Hey,
i have iris scanner and fingerprint enabled as security but when i turn on the display and say "ok google" it opens google assistant.
when you close it you end up on the homescreen, unlocked phone.
Can you guys replicate that? I am on the exynos s8.

This is a feature. You can disable by going to settings -> google -> search -> voice -> Trusted voice.
Turn off trusted voice.
I have a Galaxy Note 4 (T-mobile) running the latest firmware and it's on Android 6.0.1.
When I say "Ok Google" to my phone locked screen, it'd wake up, but then I'd get stuck on the Lock Screen. I'd have to manually unlock it (I use the Swipe Pattern Lock). That beats the purpose of operating Google Assistant in a hands-free manner, especially when I'm driving.
The "Trusted Voice" option is missing from my Google Assistant/Now settings. It's also missing from the Smart Lock settings. "Ok Google from any screen" is available and is turned on. I remember back then I used to have the "Trusted Voice" option, but maybe in the last few Google Now app versions, it's been removed? I'm not sure.
