HI. I have a rooted Verizon Galaxy S6 Edge G925V running 5.0.2. OE2 Stock. I desperately need a way to increase the Bluetooth volume as I work in very loud areas. I am willing to flash a zip with Flashfire or use root Explorer to change values to get higher volume, whatever it takes. Can you help me? Or point me in the right direction? Thank you for any help or advice you can give!

I hear you man . I wish Samsung would release a patch to beef the sound up, but I'm gradually getting accustomed to it now, less I use my Note 2 the easier it's becoming.

If you are rooted try this from Note II forum:

It seems to be working fine on Leaked 4.3 ROM.

Power Amp works well for me. It has an amp, equaliser, separate bass and treble. You can have separate presets for speakers, headset and Blue tooth. They have trial version.

Hello,
Is it possible to increase the headphone volume? I find it to be not as loud as my other devices. Rooted and ROM'd, have Vipe4AndroidFX installed but not sure how to give it a boost. ANy help would be appreciated.

No worries Use viper4android Xhifi
the volume slider is at max, but it still seems kind of low. trying to find something simple that doesn't require root to help boost the call volume of the s5
Lookup mixer_profiles.xml
There are many guides around.
I'm pretty sure in order to boost call volume, you would need to adjust "handset".
When boosting volumes in mixer_profiles.xml only raise the number by like 2 at a time. A small amount increases the volume by a good amount and too much will cause distortion

Almost 100% certain you need root to edit that.

Oh yes I'm sorry, root is required. I read the thread wrong.
I don't know of a non root way to do this.
Is root not possible for you?
I used to have a g900a that had the dreaded ota.. Sucked. But if your phone wasn't updated like mine and can be rooted, I would do that

I haven't found anything for non root either, but haven't given up just yet. Maybe there is a calling app that might could do something.
I did find a setting while you are on a call with someone to boost the call volume, but it is not a permanent toggle. you have to do it manually for every call, which is irksome.
I recently bought a Nexus 6P and I'm loving the pure Android experience.
In my Nexus 6P, Front top speaker is very loud when I'm in a call even the volume is set to lowest.
How can I fix this?

Get ElementalX Kernel and EX Kernel Manager. You should be able to adjust speaker gains then.

To perform hardware level changes like changing speaker gains, you need custom kernels as well as an app to control that kernel, which will always need root.

I don't know about a "huge" difference but it's definitely noticeable for me! And yeah you need to root to get it to work.
Exactly. Viper4Android is a must!!! Difference is huge.
I am curious as to what version of viper you use?
