[Q] Latest L720 stock firmware ROM - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

I have the Galaxy S4 (L720) running Android 4.4.2 (NG2). Is there a 4.4.4 version available? If so, can someone provide a link? Thanks.

Nope... Lollipop 5.0 is on the way though, Sprint is testing it now. You are on the latest as of now though.

Thanks. Will Lollipop be released by Sprint for the L720 or will it be a custom ROM released by a developer? We also have a M919, wonder if T-mobile will do likewise?
Alternatively, I've seen that there is a GPE Lollipop coming available? Wonder if that will be a better choice. I certainly don't care about the carrier-specific apps.

Yes. Exactly. Happens a lot, not all phones get every update.

[Q] i9505g with Galaxy Gear?

Hi,
I've been trying to research this matter but it seems the more I look the more confused I am getting. I have the I9505g (google edition) but I just got the Gear as a birthday gift. I was wondering if it would be possible to turn my 9505g into a TW rom? Maybe using the USA tmobile rom? Someone please help! I've tried using the TouchLite GE Touchwiz http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2461469 rom but it is still running 4.2.2 and not compatible with the gear. Any suggestions or nudges in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much!
For now the Galaxy Gear relies on the TW framework. Which is annoying, because I want to use my Gear with CM11.
My 9505g has the gear framework/manager system apps ever since the 4.4 ota came. Haven't tested it, but it seems likely it either should work or will soon.

Can you compare this update with Latest titan 5.0.2 rom?
I am stock and have not been on titan for a month, but feels as good as Shawn's 5.0.2 builds I have used, if not I'd say Shawn's is better. I just prefer a stock experience but love and support his work. Since I have been on 5.0.1 I haven't felt the need to use titan, but may try it again one he incorporates 5.1 or 5.0.3

Upgrade question

I am on CM 10.2.1 running Android 4.3.1 (MJA). I was thinking about upgrading to the latest CyanogenMod version or another ROM.
I take it I would have to upgrade my Android version correct or would the new ROM include that upgrade?
Also, would it be safer to go back to a stock ROM and download and apply the latest update from Sprint and them install CM12/other ROM?
Thanks for any help.
PS: Never upgraded my S4, so sorry if the questions are silly.

The new ROM will include the latest version of Android.

ROMs don't include firmware, to use the latest ROMs you need the latest firmware. If he's going to CM I would at least update the modem.

No. I don't believe it will let you flash anything that is not meant for your device. And you run the risk of a hard brick.
