Looking to purchase. - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking to purchase this phone but i'm turned off by the fact that there are like 9 different models of the phone? Can any of you give me any recommendations/suggestions. I live in Cananada, and I want a fully unlocked phone with 100% warranty from Samsung. I was looking at this one for example : http://www.ncix.com/detail/samsung-galaxy-note-4-n910u-3f-102696-1281.htm
On their site they have like U, G, H models and such but I don't understand the difference.
what I found :
SM-N910F for Europe
SM-N910K/SM-N910L/SM-N910S for Korea
SM-N910C - Asia, Europe, South America
SM-N910FD - United Arab Emirates
SM-N910FQ - Turkey
SM-N910H - Asia-Pacific
SM-N910G - Singapore, India, Australia
SM-N910U - Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Chile
SM-N910W8 - North America
There's a table I got but I don't understand which to get or if there are any major differences.

First of all, if I was you, then I would go to the phone carrier I'm interested into and then ask them if they have unlocked Note 4. If they do not have any, your next move should be asking them which unlocked Note 4 would be good and usable with their carrier without any problem. Also, I wouldn't go near india, singapore, Hong Kong , UK, or any kind of Asian models phone. Why? It's my personal preference.
---------- Post added at 07:14 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:07 AM ----------
One more thing, don't waste your money ordering Note 4 from any suspecious website. You're about to spend 800+ on phone. Be wise. I know a lot of people that ordered from amazon or ebay and other random sites. Guess what? Half of them either received fake Note 4 with ****ed up IMEI number or has major issues with the phone.

[Q] Country of origin for GSII sold on Newegg.com

Anyone know the country of origin of the GSII that Newegg.com is selling?
It doesn't look like it's Europe because in the product picture tour it has what looks to be a US travel charger. Other vendors that sell the GSII show European chargers with a US converter added.
Central, South American maybe?
Bump? Talked to Newegg in an email and they replied made in Korea....sigh.....
Sigh? You rather want one made in china? Remember samsung is in korea.
No, i wanted to know where they imported this phone from not where it was actually manufactured.
Get it from Expansys, they should be shipping UK phones now that supply is keeping up with demand. Tell them you want a UK phone when you place the order and you should be fine. If it ends up being something else, they're easy to work with for exchanges too. They'll also ship the phone back to the UK for you should you ever need warranty work whereas the newegg.com phone is sold without a warranty.
I bought mine from overseaselectronics.com and it came with U.S. samsung OEM charger and last but least it's made in china...but the quality of the phone is top notch, I don't think it's a knock offs....Oh...this version of the phone when you first power on the phone it's in different language as a default.
I just got my SG2 from newegg yesterday. I can't tell where it's from. I guess I'll have to do some more reading to find out what the differences are.

Is better to buy in Europe, Korea or China?

Hi all
I would buy this phone and my friend is now in China and then will go to Korea.
Where better to buy? N9005 Snapdragon, Exynos or N900S N900? Chinese.
I hope that some of you advise me.
thanks
Do you know by any chance the price in different countries?

If you have LTE in your area I would recommend getting the N9005 in Korea. China doesn't offer either the N9005 or N900, they have their own variants which all lack google apps
in the shop
There's a good chance of network frequency incompatibilities if you're going to use an Asian model anywhere else in the world. Not to mention the Region lock, but both can in theory be solved by flashing and rooting.
As for EU prices:
Netherlands €672
Germany €649
Belgium €649
Switzerland 749CHF/€606
(no, I have no idea why the price in the Netherlands is so ridiculously high.
Actually yes I do: It's good old-fashioned Dutch Greed.)

buy in HK or TW, there are both N9005 or N900 internatinoal version available, I paid for my N900 32gb black 468 € and I care less about warranty because the first thing when I went home is CF auto... and now very happy about the exynos version does not have region lock or knox trigger - best Galaxy till now

Good thing there's no import restrictions or costs in the EU, then. Even with shipping it's cheaper to order in another country.....
For you Americans complaining about having to pay $300, that's $1133.

Do NOT buy in China, as this will be the locked Chinese version with no play store, etc... Having said that, any phone market in China will also have the HK or international version as well (9005)... so if you're friend is smart enough to be able to identify the international version and make sure he/she doesn't buy the China version, this would be a good move. Prices for import phones in China are often quite keen, but then again this comes down to your friend's negotiating power...
I've always found Samsung stuff in Korea to be more expensive than elsewhere, and a Korean colleague of mine specifically bought his S4 in HK instead of in Korea due to this...
HK probably the best bet though. Note, reason is simply that HK has no sales tax, so is always going to be cheaper than somewhere that does... HOWEVER, some countries allow you to get tax back at the airport. For example, if you buy the phone in Germany, but you don't reside there, just show the tax receipt and the phone to the tax office at the airport and you'll get something around 15% of the price back. Note not all countries do this. China doesn't. Singapore does. HK doesn't need to. I think all of the EU does (as long as you're not an EU resident).
I personally bought my N3 in Australia a couple of weeks ago for AUD 880. I then got around 80 AUD back at the airport (have forgotten exact amount but around 80 AUD) so my actual price was 800 AUD which is 565 EUR / 773 USD. Seoul airport wanted over 1,000 USD for it. HK airport wanted around 900 USD, but note these are airport prices and this was days after launch.
never buy an android device in china, you will find that the google framework/service are all missing, btw i got my n900 in hk.

HK Samsung Galaxy S5 Region Free

I was just wondering if the Samsung Galaxy S 5 in Hong Kong are region free, like it's predecessor the Samsung Galaxy S 4? As I maybe going on a trip to Hong Kong soon and I'm considering purchasing a Galaxy S 5 while I'm there.

Yes. All phones in Hong Kong are unlocked. You can use any SIM card and they will work.
Current price for the SM-G900F (4G/LTE) is about HK$4980 at Apliu Street. This is the local model with 1 year warranty from Samsung Hong Kong. There used to be export models for the 4G/LTE without warranty for about HK$4680, but I haven't seen any recently. For 3G models, SM-G900H, the price is around $4000 for the export models.
Excellent so all HK SGS 5 phones are Region Free straight out the box and you don't have to activate them or anything before taking them abroad and using them! Thanks for the quick reply! :good::good:
Does Broadway and Fortress stores stock both the SM-G900F and SM-G900H models of the SGS 5?

I believe Broadway and Fortress stock the SM-G900F, but I'm not sure if they have the SM-G900H. The G900F is the official model for Hong Kong. BTW, Broadway and Fortress are selling the phone at the manufacturer's retail price and will be more expensive than if you buy it at Apliu Street.
I've just realised that you're asking about region lock, not SIM lock.... I'm still pretty sure that HK phones are NOT region locked as my G900F does NOT have any notice on the box about region lock.... However, to be really really sure this won't be a problem, simply buy a local prepaid SIM for about HK$20, and use that to in the phone to activate it and make a 5 minute phone call first, then, the region lock will no longer be an issue..
All hong kong official stock is unlocked, it's illegal in hong kong to lock a phone whether it's region or sim.
Hong kong GS5 are SM900F at HKD5998, no other version is available.

Where to buy the SM910C?

Where can I purchase the the SM910C? I can't find any reputable seller. The "C" (Exynos) is suppose to be compatible with virtually every network (and US LTE Bands to some extent); similar to the "F" (Snapdragon)
Mine is is the N910C variant, i am based in Malaysia
The C variant is sold in South East Asia i think

C-version can purchase in Russia (after 23.10 ~850-900$, but i don't know seller from us).. U-version (the same except modem) - in Korea
Dubai
Well this is the model that is sold in Dubai, UAE. Just got mine yesterday.
which shop in dubai has the note 4
You can pre-order C, U and F in Poland (but stores aren't sure yet which version they will have and the price is higher than in other countries).
Can people give us some links please
The C Variant is all I'll really need now, haha. I wonder what the sales figure is now for the Note 4 in general.

@AndreiLux,
Hi, I live in Ecuador and the networks here are Claro and Movistar. I think the 910C is the version I need but not 100%. I am visiting the States in 2 weeks and want to bring back the new phone with me, so I need to get this purchased right away so it can be shipped on time. Do you know what the difference is between the 910C and 910U? If you develop for one, will it be compatible with the other? I will be happy to contribute to your fundraiser campaign to make sure it gets funded.
I am *only* interested in this phone with a custom rom, I don't want all the extra Samsung apps. I want pure Android. So it's very important to me to make sure I buy the right phone that is going to be modded by the community.
I'm having some trouble finding someone that will ship it to the States quickly enough for a reasonable price.
Thank you.
