Lock Screen problem - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I've a problem with the lock screen.
I think that the problem is caused by a third app, because always a reboot the phone the lock screen is working and after 1 minute more or less I encountered that the lock screen isn't working. It's activated but isn't working, if I go to lock screen potion, change it to Pin and then to slide or if I go to security, administrator... disable one and then enable it again, the lock screen is working ok until I reboot the phone.
My phone isn't rooted, how can I check what app is the cause? I've more than 550 app installed in the phone and I don't want to uninstall one by one to try which one is...
Thanks!

nobody can help me?

Pattern lock no longer works

Hello everyone,
I hate it when my phone decides to call people all by itself. I've since found that my pattern unlock no longer works. It first happened with the CyanogenMod 4.2.9.1 and still happens now with 4.2.10.1.
I can disable the lock, edit a new pattern and re-enable it and it still chooses not to lock. Pressing the home key just brings me back to the home screen when the phone is asleep. It seems to remember the pattern as if I try and change it I need to get the old pattern right until it lets me make a change.
If anyone can help it will be much appreciated.

HTC MAgic screen will not lock

Hi All, I needs some help!
I have a Vodafone HTC Magic, all working fine until this morning when it has decided that it does not want to lock the screen.
I have it all set to require a pattern to unlock but this morning I have come to use it and noticed it didn't ask for the pattern.
I checked the settings and they were not set to require a pattern, no idea what changed it? Anyway I set them again but despite this everytime I lock the phone now (basically just by pressing the end call button) any button will bring it back to life and it is not asking for the pattern so everytime it's in my pocket and a button gets pressed the phone comes on!
I haven't installed any new apps and have tried turning it off and taking out the battery but the screen locking just wont work.
EDIT: Also noticed that the home button doesn't do anything now either!
Any ideas?
Thanks
Replying to myself but thought I'd let anyone who was interested know that I sorted it. Not altogether happy though because it required a full factory reset!
Is my phone running Android or Windows??????

turn off the screen with the home button

You may have noticed the discomfort for to turn off the screen with the little side button.
The screen can be activated with the home button but it can not be turned off !!
are there also a widget x turned off ?
I tried the various forums but have not found anything.
Someone knows something, there is a solution?
Thanks

Free: lockenabler
Paid: screen off
Lock Enabler is good & free
can put it on home screen as widget.
only thing is that it need to count down at least 3 seconds to turn off screen.
Don't know if you guys are having the same issue with Lock Enabler, but after awhile it seems that it changes the system screen timeout to 3 seconds (or whatever you set it to).
It was good, however, with this bug I had to uninstall it.

I had the same problem. Very irritating. That's why I bought screen off.

[Q] Major security flaw with screen lock

I have a SIM unlocked and unbranded Desire Z (not rooted). I've set the screen lock to 5 minutes and to require a pattern to unlock.
I've noticed that if I let the phone go to sleep, and then after 5 minutes flip out the keyboard, it unlocks it without requiring the unlock pattern. Does this happen to anyone else?
Yeah, I think this is by design. On Windows Mobile there was a reg key to enable / disable "unlock on slide" Maybe there is similar for Android.

I can't believe this would be by design, it completely undermines the security on the device. How could these be handed out to corporate customers when they can be unlocked by just flipping out the keyboard?
Also the behaviour is inconsistent. If I unlock using the power button, and then turn off the screen, if I flip out the keyboard to wake up again, I do require a pattern to unlock. But if I leave the device for 5 minutes and try again, it lets me straight in.
Ooops, I completely mis-understood your initial post.. The pattern is a sort of PIN screen isn't it..
Ignore me!

when i slide mine open, it shows me the unlock pattern screen in landscape

I get mixed results. Sometimes mine asks for the password, sometimes it doesn't. I've tried with a PIN, password and pattern. I seem to get the problem more often when the phone has been asleep for a long time, e.g. if I flip it open in the morning when I wake up.
In a way I am glad no one else has this but it's pretty annoying for me!
I get the same problem.
I've also found it to be sporadic. So far i'm thinking there is a pattern depending on what app you have on the screen when the phone locks or sleeps. For instance if its the home screen then it seems to be ok and on waking it prompts for a password. But on other apps it doesnt....
Do you have the same problem if you set the lock time to immediately? Maybe its some kind of problem with the timer.
With immediate lock time I cannot get into the phone without drawing the pattern, keyboard or no keyboard.

I think you might have nailed it there. If I leave the mail app open and lock the screen or let it go to sleep, after a while I can unlock it by just opening the keyboard.

I am testing this and it seems to work properly so far. I'll keep it on lock immediately and see if it happens again. This is really crap though. Most users are going to keep the default of 5 minutes and be totally insecure ...

Slide after screen unlock

I had been using my Moto G5 Plus for more then one month now so that when I unlock the screen via pin or fingerprint it goes directly to launcher or the last app that was open.
Yesterday the behavior changed. Whenever I unlock it shows the padlock and requires me to slide right to unlock (or slide left to go to the camera).
I don't remember installing or changing anything before this happened. How can I remove this second unlock screen?
I noticed that the issue doesn't happen when booting in Safe Mode. ?
SOLVED: The behavior was triggered by Smart Launcher's lock screen. Not sure how I enabled it, but disabling it eliminated the problem.
Thanks
