Just
- Format the second partition as ext4
- Flash the insecure kernel (for stock ROM)
And Link2SD will work.

this is to EVERYONE that is having an issue using Paragon to partition their card to ext2/ext3. simple solution and it will NEVER fail. are you ready for this???
USE LINUX
now that that's out of the way you can go
here to download the .iso
or
here to order a live CD of the latest ubuntu distribution you will have to register an account but it's free and free to get the CD shipped to your home(AND YOU GET STICKERS!!!!)
this is the EASIEST way to partition your card. before starting backup everything on your card
1. after downloading the .iso burn it to a cd/dvd
2. reboot your computer with the disk still in the cd drive
3. boot to the CD(your computer may or may not be set up to try the cd first so f10 or f12 will usually get you the boot menu)
4. choose your language
{

}
5. choose the first option "try ubuntu without any changes to your computer"(or something like that)
6. wait for the computer to start up which might take a while as it is loading the OS from your cd drive
7. plug your phone into your computer and mount it
8. click System>Administration>Partition Editor
9. in the top right there is a little box that will let you choose what drive you want to edit(PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE THE CORRECT ONE)
10. after you have chosen your sd card it will appear in the main window with a horizontal graph above it showing your usage
11. right-click on the card in the main window and unmount it
12. go to the top and click Device>Create New Partition Table
13. you now have a totally blank sd card that is unformatted and not recognisable by windows or your phone
14. right-click on the unallocated space and create a new partition and format it as a primary partition and FAT 32, resize to the size you want to be FAT 32
15. right-click on the unallocated space and create a new partition and format as primary partition and make sure it is ext2/ext3 pending the ROM. this is the size of your apps partition
16. at the top click apply and it will go through the steps of partitioning your card.
if you get any errors for any reason at all you probably did something wrong, but check the details and post the error message here and i will answer it as soon as i can.
most times an error will occur because you forgot to unmount the drive from the partition editor. i know it seems stupid but you have to mount the card so the computer sees it, then unmount it so it can be edited.
screen shots will be up tomorrow when i wake up. please post here if you cannot figure this out
Just did this and I can confirm it worked flawlessly. Directions are clear and to the T.
Thanks a lot for this man, once my business starts making some money I'll float you a little present via PayPal, cuz this was just brilliant.
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING PARAGON - USE THIS GUIDE INSTEAD
Also, Ubuntu looks cool as hell!
glad this helped someone out
after my new 8g card arrived yesterday, i tried to format it and make the partitions via the rom manager app, which failed. dunno why, but it didn't do the trick. so i stumbled across this guide and it's idiot-proof so thx alot. did the trick and everything works nicely

App for repartitioning your phone's internal memory.
Meteos MTK6589 ROM EDIT
This app will allow you to change your phone's data partition size.
Since most people have a MicroSD card for storing their files on, the internal sdcard is just a waste of space and can be put to good use for storing apps.
This app allows you to do so.
Requirements:
Xolo Q700/Q700i
Root access
A custom recovery
YOU ARE DOING THIS ON YOUR OWN RISK
(Although no serious harm can be done when correctly using this tool)
Instructions:
Make a backup of your files in your recovery (if you want to preserve them) and make sure they are stored on the external sdcard.
Download, install and start the Meteos app for your specific ROM size and choose your desired Data partition size.
Press "Reboot into Recovery" and choose "'Wipe data/Factory Reset" on CWM or Wipe internal storage on TWRP.
Restore your backup.
Profit.

there s no 4 gb file, u just have to download a,small file 64 kb or something, just download thd apk file, the apk file is different for 4gb,8gb,16gb,32gb rom phones, if u are using a 4 gb rom phone, like our q700/q700i/q800, u have to dl meteos app for 4 gb rom,
and you only have to download one small file.
not able to download the english version for 4gb phone. I downloaded the foreign language version. Here is it attached.
Noticed two major problem here.
After re-partitioning using the tool, when you go to the recovery and factory reset, it throws an error that it cannot umount emmc and then the phone is looked in boot, doesn't start at all. AFter this, you need to flash Q700i rom and start from scratch.
However, if you wipe Data, the phone does start but it still gives the error that it cannot umount emmc.
Any help here.
It works perfectly bro, in recovery u jst have to factory reset only and reboot. Also, u must hv q700i stock rom installed.

Hey Guys, in this Tutorial I'll gonna show you how to emulate Android KitKat in a virtual machine.
Preparation: Download this modified ISO Image: http://goo.gl/5iP47I
Download Virtual Box for your operating System.
Open VirtualBox. Click "New" & select the same attributes like them on the screenshot.
Select about 1600 Megabyte of RAM. (Or try to stay in the green mark.)
Klick "Create".
Choose "Dynamically allocated"
Select the Hard Disk size of your Virtual Machine. I took 8 GB and I recommend that value as minimum.
Choose "Create a virtual hard disk drive now "and klick "Create". Then Start your machine.
Now the emulated BIOS should start and you should be able to choose your downloaded .iso by clicking on the little folder icon with the green arrow.
When you see this screen, choose "Installation"
Now select "Create/Modify partitions"
Now you see your virtual hard disk as "free space", select "New", then "Primary" and then enter again.
Now you should see you created partition called "sda1" with the Size you made your virtual hard disk. Now navigate at the bottom to "Write" and klick enter. Confirm all questions and then klick "Quit".
Now choose your "sda1".
Format "sda1" as a ext3 filesystem.
Now reboot.
Now, before booting Android, choose under Devices>CD/DVD Devices>Host Drive, so that your iso is not selected anymore.
Power off your machine.
Start again and choose the first boot method.
Now your Android should start and be patient, it's the first start.
Huraaaaaaay! Now you have a great Android virtual Machine with Android KitKat.
Note: For VMWare Player it's exactly the same, just ignore the first three steps and select from beginning the .iso file.

I did every step you have written. But when I select installation it should show me the disk partitioning screen but instead of it just show 'restarting in 60 secs'
searched google but didn't find the solution..
BTW nice tut..
Did you set your sda1 as "write" partition? (12th Pic)
If you don't find a solution I can export my already created VM, upload it to my Mega-account and then you can import it..

Hi friends,
At last i have found a way to mount external storage as internal and vice versa for xperia sp jb 4.3(.205). For this, you just need to have init.d support in kernel so your system can run a script on each boot which will do the mount in background.
Requirements:
1. Root
2. ((1. Busybox ))
((2. Universal init.d ))
((3. Es File Explorer ))
3. The attached script named "swap"
4. Patience and cool brain
How to do:
1. Install busybox
2. Install universal init.d
3. Make a folder in your external storage named "0" and put all the files of your external storage into it
4. Make another folder in "0" and name it "xInternal". Cut your files from your internal storage into it( So now, you have all ur files of external storage in "0", and all your files of internal storage in the folder "xInternal" inside "0"
5. Download the zip and extract the script(swap) and place it in /system/etc/init.d (Go to your root of the device with any explorer, i used es file explorer, then go to system/ etc/ init.d and paste the script there.

}
6. Set the permission of the all checked (-rwxrwxrwx)
7. Change the owner of the file to "system"
8. Change the group of the file to "sdcard_rw"
9. Reboot and Die!!! Becaue you need to cut all files from the folder "Android" inside "xInternal" and paste it in the "Android" folder inside "0"
(So you have the files of your previous inter storage/"Android" in the folder "Android" of your present internal storage{which is actually your external sd})
10. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!
Download script
Issues:
1. You will see in settings that your external storage is changed as the same size of internal storage but internal is same as it is. Dont worry. Just dont look at this bcz its showing wrong info. you can install file commander and see by yourself that the script works
2. Es file explorer will show you that your internal storage is replaced with your external storage, but at the place of external storage, you will just see obb. But its wrong also, dont worry
For your help:
Before using this script--
Internal storage: /storage/emulated/0 (size ex. 5 gb)
External storage: /storage/removable/sdcard1 (size ex. 16 gb)
After using this script--
Internal storage /storage/emulated/0 (size ex. 16 gb) [
External storage: /storage/removable/sdcard1 (size ex. 5 gb)
Proof:
Explanation:
The script mount and bind /mnt/shell/emulated with /storage/sdcard1, so u have a folder in sdcard 1 which names "0", if u go in /mnt/shell/emulated/, u will see 3 folder named "0", "legacy", "obb". You already created "0", and "obb" & "legacy" will be created automatically, so your /dev/block/vold/179.33(/storage/removable/sdcard1) will be mounted as /mnt/shell/emulated/ and you will get your sdcard1 space in your internal, means /storage/emulated/0/. And you will see all your files of sdcard1 in "0" bcz u have put those in in a folder names "0" in your sdcard1. tricky, huh???
And if you are using this and avoid annoying low internal space, just send me thanks by pressing thanks button and encourage me to make more useful things and tuts in future
