guys i know this in not the right place to put this question but i dont hv any option, in Q&A section no one reply to my question so.........anyway plz if u know any fully working jellybean rom with htc sence 5 or greater then plz dont hesitate to suggest one....thanks in advance...and plz reply.....waiting positively...
Here is a Sense 5 Jellybean ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010104
But you need Htc one X+ to run it.
However if you are talking Sense 5 for Hd2..... There has been a port but not fully working....
If you want to try it
1. open forum xda developer using a laptop
2 .You will see two rectangle box on top - left corner. One has a icon phone and the other has magnifying glass.
3. In the rectangle that has magnifying glass. type "HD2 Sense 5" hit enter. and you will find several link choose the most appropriate one
4 read the first page and the last 4 pages to see what other has experienced regarding this ROM and was there any updates.
5 If you like the ROMs potential, read first page carefully again. Follow the intruction if there are any. If no instruction. Repeat step 1,2,3,4 but in step 1 type in the rectangle box "HD2 installtion"
Now please dont reply to this post "you should have rather just pointed out to the link"
Like my answer.
thanks brother for reply......but only a last question , what is according to u is most stable, fully functional rom for hd2?(it would be better if its jellybean)...plz, suggest me....

Hello friend,

Google - > Tytung hd2 android
And you are done. Good luck

Hello
I'm looking for some hints about the subject: how anyone can take a shipped, let me say, HTC Desire rom and let it work on HD2.
I'm not talking about doing heavy tweaks, modifications and so on... just to take a stock Android ROM and have it working on HD2.
I asked to some chefs and received some hints but It's not enough.
I don't want to think that this is a "secret" and I think would be great if some chef would share his experience/step-by-step instruction on how to do this.
As I said before, I think we could start just with simple porting of a stock htc desire ROM, just to understand all the steps. I think that further steps on how to customize and tweaks will be explored later and anyone could experiment itself.. but we need a basic starting point.
Some step by step instruction will be great like:
1) Download shipped rom from here .........
2) unrar it in linux folder
3) copy this folder, rename the other one, dowload this file, copy this...
4) execute shell command XXXXX
5) copy on your sd card
6) boot...
of course I know it's not so easy, but is just an exaple on what I ask here. I think there are a lot of other perople looking for this.
Thanks to any chef/dev that would to explain to our noobs how to get the "magic"
p.s.
I ask the moderators to keep, if possible, this thread in the Dev forum... this because we need help from devs here and in the Q&A forum it will be never noticed.
I came across this the other day that maybe of use:

Yes, I was pointed to that thread too. If you look at the end there are some questions I did. The problem is that is based on MIUI... That is already a custom ROM.
I think the better way to understand the process (not just do it) is to have hints on how to port a standard/stock HTC DESIRE rom.

Ideally the same way. In theory it should work...I never tried because sense builds (especially hd ones) are very laggy

Hello, I was just replying on the other thread to thanks you for the answers
I will try to follow your guide to port a stock desire rom (strange that are laggy for you... for me they fly...)
Anyway it's still something not clear about the donor files... If it's ok to take them from an already HD2 working rom or not.. but I will ask on your thread, avoid to make confusion
no one tip from the devs?
I'm start thinking that instructions on rom cooking for hd2 is like a secret
I've asked this many times, but as you said, no one seems to want to share this "secret"...

you can start with one of the hunderd rom that chefs already cooked. This thread is just to ask help with cooking a rom, you have not to wait.. you already can use android daily on your phone.

Did you cook a MIUI rom or a Sense rom or a stock android rom?
For the cedesmith's initrd.gz I was thinking the same thing.. maybe we have to ask directly to him.
wow, both tyween, and rafpigna, started from this, to now:
Rafroid
Typhoon
best roms on xda. Really nice work guys!
But still, no one shares the "secret" I have tried several things myself, but it didnt work. Would really appreciate if someone could share how to port a rom to the hd2.
Yeah would be great if tyween and rafpigna let us know how they managed it, what guides/reference they started of on or if they have any tips for us etc
I totally agree, I would definitly cook my own rom if I knew how to...

Do a search!
Guys, no need to be mean...
@asterixhashir
If you want official WinMo ROM you can download it directly from HTC website, Radio is included.
The Android version you are looking for it is called NexusHD2 v2.7. It is very stable and compiled from source of Nexus One.
I'm ok to explain smth to a man who just don't understand how things work. He should try first.
BTW see the name of the thread. He didn't bother reading any rooles.

If website say that it not a ROM for your telephone then you are doing something wrong.
Make sure you select the right phone from list in htc website or that you enter the right code number.
You can not have both installed in NAND. You can find NexusHD2 if you just search. If you want to have both install WinMo and find an SD Android version to put in your SDcard.
It is not easy for us to explain you in 1 post what we have learned by reading countless times the threads here.
If you can't find any solution by yourself then try finding some friend of yours who understand better and help you.
Else you can always find someone to pay to fix your device.
Without wishing to appear rude it is a tad difficult to understand you.
Ii believe you are unable to download the correct official rom for your device. this is sometimes the case that your serial number is not accepted by htc as they offer different roms for different carriers.
try getting YOUR official rom off of this thread. good luck.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=577717
There are no tmous roms on HTC site at all. Only on T-Mobile.com, and it will ask for your IMEI not serial.

that is why this site offers custom roms.
Am I the only one who thinks this dude is a troll?
i dont no more abt this phone bcz i m using for 3 to 4 months ok and i m not always bzy in these kinds of things ..tel me where can i find the official rom not the custom one ok and tell m eabt the best andriod sd rom for hd2
asterixhashir < you can flash back to the original rom that was intended for your hd2.
don't mess around with android roms if you don't know how to do your own homework.
download the the original rom for your t-mobile hd2 and open the exe file with winrar - extract the file "RUU_signed.nbh" and rename it "leoimg.nbh" - copy this file to the root of your sd card - restart your phone while holding on to the volume down button - then follow the steps and your back home with windows mobile. - then you can sell your hd2 and buy a android phone.

Bloody hell, use the search function! It isn't difficult!
Having said that, this is a complete guide to doing so. And yes, the ROMs tend to be multi-lingual and a lot support RTL writing for Arabic. It should state in the OP if it does.

Does it never occur to you guys on here that we are not all technically savvy as you and just want simple answers to simple questions Nigeldg ?
I've clicked on the link you've suggested and I can't follow it myself, How's this poor fella in Egypt going to ????
Google Video is your best friend!
Jayceooi hd2 video tutorials are very clear and simple to follow!
Download the videos and watch them over and over again until you get it!
Once you have had sufficient exposure to the process of installing nand android (like original) come back to xda and read the tutorials just to make sure the information is up to date!
Don't rush! Keep watching the videos until you "get it"!
Download the files needed to flash. Place them in folders numbered to the sequence required for installation.
I know you feel a little inundated now but once you watch the videos it will make sense!

As you are a native English speaker (or have a bloody good translator) you should EASILY be able to follow that guide. I'm 14 and I could, and I had literally no experience of anything like this beforehand. @lunchmoney (lol) jayceooi's tutorials are indeed very good, and show the step-by step-with text + have links to the XDA threads for downloads and he also answers all his questions on his website.

Nice one might save a few bricks .
But from experience most SGS2 noobs are missing two vital parts of your check list .
I want root ( dont know what it is ) . I want someone tell me best custom rom .I want best battery .I want you hold my flashing hand . I want theme . i dont want read i dont want search button .
But with a number of similar posts of late its obvious that the problem is getting bigger and wont go away .

you asked a very general question. but just to answer the theme part:: MIUI rom has lots of themes and highly customizable.. for battery life its a combination of right kernel and rom.. as per kernel try void or speedmod. and for rom try oxygen rom, lightning rom, or checkrom.

Hi I'm lipka and I'm new at this forum. As you know I have the Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 2 Gb. I have a few questions for you and I hope I can get an answer but when i do not get it and will be sad . I apologize in advance to maybe stupid questions that I will ask you once, but I will mention that I've never had a phone with Android operating system, and Y is the first device I also ask for your understanding. Even in advance sorry for my bad English but I'm from Europe (Poland) and I used google translator. Okay so let's start :
1) What is this whole "rooting phone", and upload it and what is "ROM"?
2) How to change software to the "newest"? (I have XXLE1 ( i have very much lags :/) and i want to change software)
3) How to upload the whole "ROM's" to my phone?
4) What is the best kernel to choose? I ask because there are literally a lot and I do not know which one to choose
5) Which "ROM" the most speed up my phone, improve his performance and will look the best of all ? Give me your's proposites
6) Is it true that the glass front of our very mobile draws after prolonged use?
And the last one: 7) Is the two gigabyte memory card good enough to me that I need to buy better?
From the top, thanks and Hello to all, because this is my first post on this forum
Welcome to xda
Rooting is gaining acess to your phones OS and being able to change it
Update your phones firmware like this settings>about phone>Software Update or maybe use odin
As for the roms i heard hyperion is the best but you might want to install supercharger
Installing a rom is easy peasy you go in the recovery when you turn off the phonr. Ita power+volume up+home key buttons ... Hold them until the logo dissapears. And voula your in the recovery.
P.s you might want to check the sticky general section basic sgy topics

As CALIBAN666 said, test all of them. They are all used for some particular purpose or other, so you never know which one you might end up liking. Go through their features first.
And about the first post, those were stupid questions. But it dosen't matter to us as new users always come here and we welcome them. What bothers us that threads like this one are created again and again. That's why we advise new users to read the stickies of the forum and search before posting.
