Can i get an XDA2 cheap from Far East (singapore) will it work in Uk on vodafone?
Anyone tried to do this?
If not what is the cheapest way to buy one for use on Vodafone?
Hi. XDA2 is a tri-band phone so it should work in UK. I live in SG and bought a new XDA2 just last weekend. If you want to know more about prices and where to buy etc let me know. Good Luck
I might be also interested in Singapore prices ....
please let me know
regards, monika
Warranty may be an issue if you buy it over here in Singapore. My XDA II warranty card specifies as warrantied only by O2 Asia. So if i were to go Australia, who also has an O2 service center, i believe i cannot do any warranty claiming on my unit unless its an international warranty.
my rough guess is ....
that vast majority of equipment these days has both local and international warranty, say IBM Netvista computers, IBM laptops ... etc etc
but I might be mistaken as in my country then sell XDA clone with no guarantee at all (sic !)

monika
Hey there!
Like many of you here, i have a S3 with a sudden death.
The thing is: i'm from Brazil and bought my phone in China, so the local authorized technical support refuses to help me, because he says it's very hard to register the IMEI number from a imported phone.
I think my only way out is to buy another motherboard and replace it myself, but again, i can't find any here in Brazil, so i'll have to buy from eBay on US and Canada or UK.
Anyone here knows to do it? I already teared my phone apart and know how to manually replace the board, but what about the IMEI number? It´s possible to do that?
There's any other problems or difficulties i might find on the way?
Thank you so much for all our help, you guys have been great here!
Can someone provide me the link for authentic replacement part at the right price, with worldwide shipping as am in India and locally N 9005's screen ain't available.
Thanks
Who told you N900 & N9005 has different screen?
Sent from my SM-N9005
U should find some where in India first. I'm pretty sure it available in India
Went to the service center. The guy there tried to fit a N900 screen and said that the board shapes for N900 and N9005 are different and hence they cant fit! Though am not sure at his conclusion.
Hi all,
I cracked my screen and need to replace it, however Samsung US doesn't want to do it and told me to contact Samsung from the country of origin for repair. I have an Iraqi variant but can't get Samsung Iraq on the phone. I contacted local repair shops and was quoted $399 for a screen replacement but without guaranty that the phone will still be waterproof.
Has any one successfully had their GS7E serviced in the US and if so, how?
Thanks!
Hi All,
My Samsung S4 died recently and it does not turn on anymore. I took it to a Samsung workshop and they told me the motherboard got fried and it needs to be replaced. However, they would charge me about $300 for the repair, which of course I find it to be a total robbery. I have decided to take a step forward and repair it myself, which I found to be quite easy (I have already removed the motherboard myself). I have searched for replacement motherboards on eBay and found some in China for about $50. My questions are:
1. Is the motherboard replacement a simple "plug & play" matter or does it need to be programmed?
2. Where is the most recommended place to buy a motherboard for that model?
3. Any other watchouts/recommendations you have for me before I go ahead and buy the replacement?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Yes, the motherboard is a "plug and play" replacement. The only thing you may need to do is update it to the latest ROM.
Make sure you do not get an s4 made for mainland china, verizon, AT&T, South Korea, and Sprint.
