[Need Beta Testers] [Android 4.2] [AOSP]

FIRST OF ALL I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF U BRICK UR PHONE
I am going to make android 4.2 port for note 1 and i need beta testers.
will port from a nexus device and i need a person who is very good in updater-script (edify) editting
beta testers and updater-script editors can PM me if u want to join my porting team.
AND READ FIRST LINE TWICE BEFORE PMing ME
AND U GUYS WANT TABLET MODE or MOBILE Mode?

Ok my advice for users is stay away to avoid bricks.
If you cant even make a tw ROM work then how on earth are you going to support this and ensure users that its a safe ROM ?

Dude First i will port rom without kernel .then will ask a kernel dev to make kernel.
then will give to a updater-script specialist only then i will give to beta-tester
after that i will give it for base rom for major devs
only then i will post rom here for public usage

why dont you build a rom for yourself and test it and learn before you are going to post ANYTHING ?
You are really makin a fool out of yourself like this in my oppinion, no pun intended but thats my oppinion after the tw ROM fail.
I started with simple theming 3 years ago to learn the basics and start from the bottom up .
My first theme was Goldielicious RED with GoldieKing
Only then i went ahead and tried modifying some codes and came up with my first extended powermenu on ggb which was a lot more work then these powermenus we have now .
After i was convinced i had all the basics and understood how every little bit in the ROM worked and iterracted with eachother , then i started building my ROMs..

Sounds to me like your gonna just get other people to make it, yet take all the credit yourself.

It was just advice.
You kniow i helped you before on your tw rom but its very noticeable that you are still very young and you react a bit immature
If i was you after such a fail i would lock myself in my room for months and come back with a masterpiece and prove the world you can develop.
But this is just a learning stage for you and i dont think you should do that in public but just in private
It looks very exciting i guess to be a dev but at your age you should play outside and enjoy the birds and the bees

Dont stop developing !
Just dont release anything to people if its unsafe, Firstly, test it out on your own device, Find the faults, Fix them, get everything working properly and safely, Then open a thread and release it.
Rome wasn't built in a day, Do your research, Learn things ask for help, when the knowledge comes, devs will help you, they will teach you they will work along side you.
The majority of devs here have years and years of experience, and if your signature is correct, you're still very young. with the time and patience you can be as popular in no time at all.
No one is angry or upset because of you, They just dont want a million new threads saying ' this rom broke my phone' 'this isnt working' and most of all they dont want people disrespecting you for trying to help the community !
Now I hope some wise words sunk it there and im sure we're all looking forward to what you can bring in the future !

That's enough. mithun46, study, learn, and develop on your own phone. When you are ready, then release for testing - but be ready to learn even more when you do. Also remember, if there's nothing to download, then it belongs in General. WIP threads don't belong in Development.

New rom

Anyone willing to beta a blind build of an AOSP rom?

Kinda lack of info. Provide some more, why should i flash something if i don't know anything about the changes and background of the rom ? Why would i flash something if i don't know what is under the hood ?
And i know you are asking for testers who want to test blindly a rom. I can read.....my question comes more down to this :
Why not share more info and make the testers more curious for the rom ?

In this way you will let people see what your ROM does and where it is based upon and decide to test it or not.

my rom is based on This one, [5.1.1] [2015-05-23] [Stable] Unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1S/OS12.1 for i9300 Galaxy S3
i am going to update it for other tests from next monday (1/06/15)

youtube videos issue is NOT fixed
bootanimation updated,
little more battery friendly (several updates in next version),
some useless system apps removed.
In the next version i hope that all known bugs will be fixed and both performance and battery will recive an important improvement because of the update of the kernel and several other modifications.

there were some issues with the experimental2 version and my internet was broken then there were a lot of inconveniences. From now i will paste the link for next versions here and not in private message. Flash them at your own risk and let me know how it goes.
Experimental3 should be posted here tonight or tomorrow (it depends on this damn internet connection ahahah)

TESTING HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR THE TIME BEING. WE HAVE EVERYONE WE NEED CURRENTLY. WHEN THE TIME COMES THAT WE NEED MORE, WE WILL LET YOU KNOW.
This thread will be used to notify the members of XDA as to our current progress. Once an official release is ready, this will be converted to a Q&A thread. Currently we are working out some kernel issues and will let you know where that leads us. This will also be where we look for testers as we expand to other variants of the G3.
UPDATE: Currently our team is looking for a name. Since it was formed from random community members, we have decided to come back to the community to ask for suggestions as to what we should name the team. I would also like to state that we are currently testing a kernel that may get the M Preview booting. So wish us luck.

Yeah, really it doesn't need to be changed to the new format, but it would need a whole new updater-script, which I am not as familiar with as I would like to be due to time constraints and other priorities. So if @timmytim or @autoprime could take a look and help me out (if it's not too much trouble, of course) that would be awesome.)

ask also @LastStandingDroid i think he could help as well...or try post in developers thread.there are many geniuses there

This is good news! I cant code atm but I was looking for this ROM. I read that they released the beta rom So I knew it was only a matter of time before someone created one for the G3

I can't help with anything ATM, but I'm glad to see this being worked on so soon, I'll definitely be cheering you guys on, God knows when LG will update.

Yeah. Unfortunately I no longer have a Gear 1, but someone has picked up where I left off. And thankfully, someone with the Verizon G3 and some porting experience is taking a look into modifying the boot.img to support M and has provided me with a baseline updater-script that I can modify to fit the situation.

If I get a port running smoothly on my D850, we are then going to branch to the VS985, then the D855 should be right behind.

I've got a D850. It is my daily driver but tend to try a new load every month right now I'm on Cyanide 13.3.

Thank you! We're working on modifying the CM12.1 boot.img to support M currently. Then all I need to do is modify the updater-script and all should be proper for the D850. Then we'll be moving on to other G3 models.

I've flashed many ROMs and Tried to hack out some changes like camera fps and battery life mods some worked and some almost bricked my phone (no boot screen or any kind of light lol) so I'm willing to wrisk it to be on the cutting edge.......

Hey mate.
No, not me I'm afraid, but the dev who did this has done a handful of other builds from source it seems. I think the AOKP one in the dev forum is his which was smooth as. With the exception of no NFC.
Can't wait to flash and see what is working with LOS 15.0 though.

lets hope an update fixes it

Did you factory reset after install this happens sometimes a factory reset normally does the trick.

Did this work for anyone didnt boot for me.

I wonder where are device sources for that build... There is no oreo branch sources for lithium that I can find... Although of course I just do not know how to look for them. Or maybe the developer made compatible tree, vendor and kernel himself and haven't had time to upload yet
What's strange is that that man builds a workable (if it is, I don't know) oreo build for Mix and doesn't share anywhere ... I would've done immediately :victory:
Anyway it is good news at least that someone's working on it albeit not yet successfully!

We can be 99.9% sure that we'll at least get a working Lineage build, and almost certainly one for RR too (Papps has already said it's coming). I know the OP2/3 have booting Oreo builds, if not fully functional just yet.
Pretty sure that if this actually worked it would already be in the ROMs section, as you said, but I tried it anyway. No luck. Factory reset, installed along with the GApps zip from the 24/8, using TWRP 3.1.1.2. Just sits at the MI boot screen. Maybe it'd only take an updated TWRP to boot, but as it stands it does nothing.
