I used to love your ROMs for my old Touch HD.. good to see you now have a Galaxy S!
Not so sure from your posts above what method you have tried. When are you trying to connect Odin? You need to be in Download Mode first, fire up Odin, then connect your phone...
Is this what you are doing?
Also, which version of Odin you using? In Win7 you may need to right click and run as administrator?
The best way is to look on the odin how to here in forum

Brother, use Odin3 v1.7 from my signature & see if it detects? A lot of guys have recovered their phones using 1.7. trust me.
pull the battery
wait a few seconds
put the battery back in
hold vol-down + power + home
You should get into download mode
connect the phone physically to the pc
flash a ROM or a kernel or whatever you desire
I wish you good luck^^
Close any kies process running in background and try again

The jig most likely wont work if the phone is completely dead, you could try a hairdryer it seems to work sometimes. Otherwise its back to samsung.

I just got a SGS 2 Canadian "Rogers LTE" Editiion: SGH-I727R.
I was trying to Root the phone with Odin but now am stuck on a black screen with a yellow triangle and a message"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again"
Kies cannot see the phone and I cannot go into any other mode, anything I do goes back to the same screen. I did a lot of reading but couldnt get to anything cause I cant go into recovery or even download mode. I would really appreciate some help if possible. If this is in the wrong section please move to where it should be.
Did you try to flash international (GT-I9100) firmware? This firmware isnt compatible with the GS2 LTE from Rogers. If you can still get into download mode or recovery mode you may be able to flash correct firmware and recover your phone though I don't know if its available yet, if you cant get to either download or recovery mode you may be forced to send it to Samsung for repairs which likely wont be free since you have voided the warranty.

You're in the wrong forum, the i9100 has nothing in common with your phone and i hope you didn't try to flash any of the i9100 stuff. Maybe the att i777 has more in common with your phone, best to browse their section rather than ours.

1- A pop up massage during booting arose. “Unfortunately Process com. Android. systemUI has been stopped”
2- Above mentioned message hang the cell on Main Screen, I can not operate any function.
3- IMEI No. INVALID.
4- Mobile cannot be accepted connection with PC, ODIN, Kies etc.
Kindly guide me in this regard as I am a beginner in the matter of programming etc.

Seems like the EFS partition is broken (IMEI Invalid)
If You don't have any backups done by custom recovery, well... You're probably done.
I am having a similar problem. After enabling KNOX, which I thought was just another antivirus, my phone rebooted, and just got stuck. It would go to the boot page, with the name, and then it would act like it was gonna go to my home screen, but the screen would go black and it would start over. I cleared the cache and factory wiped it, but still no luck. I didn't enable usb debugging, and from what I know there is no way to enable it. I need it to use odin to flash a rom and start over. any suggestions?

Hey, thank you for the help!
It starts and it doesn't! With the battery, after I try to turn on, it keeps blinking repeatedly and stops only if I remove the battery. And my issue with any fix that I try to flash is that the computer doesn't recognize, probably cuz the blinking blue light is just a random light and not the phone actually trying to turn on... so Odin, for example, doesn't catch any device!
Is there any way to make the computer recognize it? I already tried some usb drivers, but nothing so far... BTW, I have a windows 10.
Thanks!

Well Windows 10 64bit has been creating problems for many many people in the forum and I have seen people running vm and win 7 for the best results. And something very important I must say is that, most of the new computers do have USB 2.0 ports but they are limited in number, so you should find one on ur PC, to us it specifically for phone tweaking softwares. I would suggest you find another PC or laptop around,

Without recovery or Download mode, you'll need to take it to someone with a black box or jtag.
If you can access a working phone of your same model, you can boot download mode from sd

What about download mode? Btw it should not go to logo it should go to recovery after bootimage. You should hold down power home and volume down untill download mode comes or power home and volume up untill recovery menu comes
Ok so im new here so forgive me for anything noobish.
So i tried to flash a stock ROM back onto my old S4 and somehow managed to pretty much break it. It wont fully boot and will turn off after it gets to the samsung logo. I cant boot into recovery and can only boot into download mode BUT my computer or odin wont recognise it in download mode.
So, yea, its pretty screwed. Any help would be amazing as I would like to take it on holiday with me next week to protect my shiny new G4 from the mess and chaos of a lads holiday.
Thanks guys. :good:

1. Try to install Samsung drivers again or simply Kies 3.
2. Change the USB conector for other or one original.
3. Change the USB port too.
Yep tried all three, think it has something to do with the drivers not being installed correctly when in download mode but not totally sure. Any ideas?
