Hmmm may be Samsung haven't released any on the air update for your country. You can update it manually via odin. Or you can try it through Samsung kies.
Guide for Odin:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/guide-odin-flash-guide-t1671969
That guide is not just for old s3 ok its for all Samsung devices. But in this guide th odin version is 3.04 you have to download new version 3.09 ok download it from anywhere.
And
Go to sammobile.com
Here you can get all firmware updates for your mobile. You have to make an account first then you can download.
Remember,
Go to your mobile settings> General> About Device
There you will see all INFO about your mobile.
Note down your mobile baseband version. You have to download firmware according to your baseband version.
And any build version can be used.
Just look for your country region ok and upload date.
Download the latest update.
And follow that odin guide.

Try it with samsung kies. Or go to mrcrab.net
Here you can find a kitkat update version of your country or your neighbour country. Yes you can install versions for your neighbour countries.
But i am recommending you to not attempt it because there is no big difference between 4.4.2 and 4.4.4. So if you got any problem then it will be hard for you to downgrade or solving it.
So stay what you have got.
It seems like samsung hasn't announced any update for your region.

eventhough i still cant find kitkat for my baseband...
by the way i've jelly bean 4.3 not 4.4.2
it seems there's no way to get the kitkat..
Thank you brother

Yeah i think so.
But hey man you can try 4.4.2. Its better than jelly bean. Look man sometimes they are not clear on the website. Sometimes one ROM is for multiple basebands. If you wana give a try then download a rom of your or your neighbour country and unzip it and see what's inside. Tell me about your baseband and build version please.
---------- Post added at 11:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:37 PM ----------
Connect your mobile to samsung kies and it will show your current firmware version and its details. At the end of line there will be a code for country region like AFR TMC etc note that one down. You will need a ROM with exact country region.
---------- Post added at 11:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:43 PM ----------
There is a kitkat update for Libya and other countries of your neighbourhood. You can try this.

[Q] Update to Kit Kat Note 3

Hi, I have a Samsung Note 3 (SM-N9005) and when I bought it has Jelly Bean 4.3, now I want to update it to Kit Kat 4.4 but when a I search updates says already have the newest version, I think is because I bought it in a phone company of my country (Costa Rica) because others phones that have the same model of mine already receive Kit Kat but that are from the factory. That could be a reason why I didn't receive 4.4? If I unlock my phone I'll receive the update? Please help me. :crying:
Sorry for the bad english, I don't speak english good, like you can see xD

First Don't Unlock bootloader if like official updates.
then what u mean by buying it from company !!!
It s Galaxy Note 3 N9005 normal version
i mean it s not something like dev edition or commercial
SO it will get update
u should check sammobile.com/firmware & live.samsung-updates.com
then see build number on about phone option and searc for ur model if update is available or not...
after All
u can simply download Stock Firmware of N9005 and flash it using Odin.
that u should search for its tutorial
:good:

What is your phone's CSC? I think there should be KitKat update for all CSC now.
Anyway you can check for the latest firmware for your device by installing Phone INFO ★Samsung★ --> open Menu --> Firmware Browser...
You can download the latest firmware and flash it via Odin.

[Q] Cant update via Kies. CSC doesnt match. Newbie Questions

Hello, Im new to this forum and hope not violating any rules..
I just bought Galaxy S4 i9500 and has stock 4.2.2 installed. Cant update to kitkat neither with settings, nor with KIES 2.6/3.
Kies 2.6 says " Your Device's Current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via Kies. " (see attch)
I'm total newbie with these CSC codes and nor googling helped me out with all my questions:
How to make CSC and phone sales codes match safely without flashing official rom?
I bought AFR version S4 designed for Kenya in republic of Georgia (Asia/Europe). There is no firmware designed for Georgia. So does this mean I will never be able to obtain updates OTA or via Kies?
Phone INFO and such apps didnt work coz it couldnt find "preconfig" file.. Does this mean flashing is the only way? Which websites are good for official stock firmwares?

I just bought Galaxy S4 i9500 and has stock 4.2.2 installed. Cant update to kitkat neither with settings, nor with KIES 2.6/3.
My BB number is : I9500XXUBMG9
Here is my question..
1) Will this baseband region phone ever receive OTA update?
2) if NOT, then should i use services that samfirmware.com offers?
if YES, then can i install official firmware originally created for another baseband? For example can i use Russian I9500XXUGNG3 kitkat on my I9500XXUBMG9 ?
Doesnt it void waranty?
What are the risks of bricking? i mean basebands differ from each other, isnt that problem?
Also Im dissapointed with 2G call voice, sometimes i barely hear caller.. Can this be Baseband problem? I think this bmg9 baseband was originally for IRAQ carriers and im here in Georgia, which doesnt have specific baseband i guess...
I would be extremely grateful to those who answer me in this hard time ^^

Hi mate ,
First thing if you are in 4.2.2 is a shame to upgrade the bootloader..is Knox free
Your official updates most like it are blocked because you do not have the right CSC , download a nice little app from the market call PHONE INFO there it will tell you what your CSC is , this app can also change your CSC as long as it is available in the rom ( if you do backup first changing the CSC will do a factory reset)
Regarding your questions
1 OTA are CSC dependent
2 Samfirmware is good , and reliable you can go that way also
Second part of your questions
1 you can flash firmware for other countries , that is not a problem , BUT you may have problem with what languages are available , specific country services may not be available , no OTA
2 As long as you only flash stock rom (odin) you will not void the warranty
3 Briking is always a risk but when flashing not for different basebands
4 Maybe , for sure the right baseband would help

Alrighty. I dw-ed two apps, both named Phone Info. I just have a questions:
If I change CSC code to USA will I get OTA updates as soon as USA citizens get it? Doesnt it depend that im outside of USA?
Is there any cons for changing CSC?
My country, is not listed in CSC codes.. Is there a way i can always get OTA updates?

Hi,
A knox free bootloader is important if warranty some how is important for you , other wise there are the same
Regarding your first set of questions
1 Not an expert on kies but as long as all the csc inpho match it should , unless there is an issue with kies registration or IP
2 CSC give you country specifics network set ups , differnt countries have different set ups , fastdormancy , special services.......
3 you need to flash a stock rom from your country or region
Yes flashing firmware may change the csc code.

You got a Jelly Bean baseband but running a KitKat ROM. Did you try to flash a Jelly Bean ROM?
Try to install the latest (make sure you got full) KitKat firmware onto your phone via Odin.

According to your baseband, your csc is most likely TGY.
Your Note 3 is the Hong Kong model with 16Go of internal storage.
You can't flash the international stock firmware wich is meant to 32Go storage.
As JJEgan said, look for the TGY firmware at sammobile.
After Flash Hong Kong Firewarm in India Network Come . because My Phone Is Unlock.

[Q] Where's my 'Unlocked UK' galaxy note 4 lollipop update ?

Hi,
I've bought a new unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and I thought it did receive the lollipop update by now.. but when I checked if there's an update or not, it says to me that I got the latest update !!
I've got the KitKat 4.4.4 and my baseband version is N910FXXU1ANK4.
does this seems to be right or there's something wrong with my device ?!
I want to mention that in the beginning I put a non-UK sim and it said to me that the device is locked 'I think because I have to put a UK sim first', then when I change it to a UK sim it worked normally ... can this be the reason of not getting the update ?
Have you connected it through Kies yet? That's how I updated mine

The Vodafone Lollipop rom has been released ahead of the BTU (Network Free) rom.
Do you use the preinstalled network bloat? If not, then why not download an unbranded 5.0.1 from samfirmware. The DBT should be still the same, just change the language to English during setup...
Yup I bought the UK (international) unlocked version last week, and mine is still on kit kat 4.4.4. Keeps saying this is the latest version. I did email Samsung asking if they could just clear the confusion for me as to whether the lollipop update had been released yet. They just replied with instructions on how to go to settings and check for updates. I replied saying that was not what I asked. I know how to check for updates, I'm not thick. I just wanted to know if android 5 had been released for the unlocked unbranded version. Still waiting for reply ?
