I bought a new motorola flipside from ebay and I tried to unlock it by code. But the message that is displayed it " network unlock request Unsuccessful" . I have tried several websites and vendors on ebay for unlock codes. But all of them said that the code is not found. One of them also said that the mobile phone must have been reported stolen.
Can someone please help me out here. Is there a software to unlock it?
I hope there is not a super obvious solution I missed somewhere, I apologize if I am hasty in posting this question, but I cannot understand why my AT&T l337 is not working with my Canadian mobile carrier, Wind Mobile. I do not get the network lock screen with the pin/dismiss options, and the phone picks up on signal, but it gets no data and still prompts "emergency calls only" when I try to make a call.
Phone is rooted stock 4.2.2 NC1, safestrapped, with an MF3 modem. I got the phone new when it was already on NB1 in May 2014, so the service menu unlock method was obviously not an option. I followed the steps in method 3 (@NewToGalaxy) from the @bvzxa3 "possible method to sim unlock" guide, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2595457, it does not seem to do anything but remove the initial "pin/dismiss" network lock.
I tried enabling AWS using the "enable AWS on AT&T samsung S IV" @zaryan guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2291589), but when I try to enter the *#7284# into the dialer for step 3, I get the same "Connection problem or invalid MMI code" I get when trying to use some of the options in the *#0011# service menu.
I have searched around XDA, but I did not find anyone who was experiencing the same issues I had. What am I doing wrong? Flash the MF3 modem, run regionunlock, insert non-AT&T sim (and all the combinations of steps therein). How can I enable AWS if my phone can't access those service menus?
Based on the information cloud-x provided in his sim-unlock thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/help/i337-sim-network-unlock-assistance-t2808211, it seems like receiving an unlock code from AT&T is not an option since I'm only three months into a contract, and normal unlock code vendors may not be able to pull codes. At any rate, I am in Canada for a limited time and I hope to solve this issue before I return to the states and cannot test my Canadian sim.
I'm sorry I'm kind of a noob and if this situation or issue has been dealt with before, I just hope someone can point me in the right direction.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285431 follow the state at the beginning of this thread after rooting and installing shortcut master lite use the secret code explorer and scroll down to code 27663368378 there you will see all the options needed. I was on NC1 when I did this
I337 stock NC1, rooted, unlocked

i buy a Moto X Sprint XT1056, brandnew, and it's unlocked, Android 4.2.2. I use all sim GSM ok. But after i flash new FW, use RSDlite, android 4.4.4 . my phone's locked again, it show error sim card. How can I re unlock my phone?
Bought this tablet on eBay cheap. Then realized it's Sprint. Thought about the NV edit to add band IV LTE, but could not get passed the MSL requirement. Sprint was no help. Same with the apps, save for one that I found here. The Sprint Samsung Galaxy Unlock apk sometimes after a reboot I get the Invalid SIM error. This apk solves that quickly.
My intent was to first clear the current carrier information. Such as the user name and anything relating to Sprint.
I have at my use an Octoplus box with latest software.
I threw everything I could at this Sprint tab including flashing via Octoplus the firmware for SM-T337A (AT&T). Which did not take nor brick my device.
I have the SM-T237P rooted with the detoxed firmware found on this forum.
I used Octoplus box to (likely wasn't necessary) flash the AT&T version SM-T337A.
This model (T337A) was useful to unlock my Sprint tab 4. I can't tell if it was necessary or not, but the process completed.
Then I found another model (T335) that had the option to Fix the MSL via Octoplus. This version is a Tab S model SM-T335.
I pressed the button and rebooted the phone.
To get into Diag-DM-ABD mode is required for any operation. EFS Professional can do this or there is a way into the service menu on the tablet.
On the SM-T237P make sure you have an active wifi connection. Then go to General | Activate this device | it should fail saying call customer service by pressing *2 on your phone. The three dots at the top right will allow access to the service menu. Click on PST and you will see the ##DATA## and several other menus. From here you may change anything, if you found the MSL.
Repairing the MSL via Octoplus opened up the menu to edit the MIN and MIDN which doesn't really help me at this point.
In the service menu look for the third option down | LTE Services | click on Global and restart the device.
After reboot under | About Device | Status | my regular GSM sim card is seen and the number does show up.
That particular chip is out of service, but I did achieve my goal of removing the previous sub info.
Also new is the option to select many new network modes. I will get screen shots of what I am attempting to explain.
I had read a lot and not found too much on this Sprint SM-T237P
I understand it does not have the frequencies to be used on Wind Mobile. I should find a Bell chip and see what happens.
This is the culmination of a month's work. Utilizing Google, XDA and the Octoplus box. Some things I have done may be contrary to the user manual or common thought. When testing your new device and there isn't much that others have done, you must think outside the box and not be afraid of bricking a device. This is just my experience. Following is my log from last night.

My question to the forum: Was it the MSL Reset that flushed the Sprint subscriber info or was that the unlock or maybe just enabling LTE Global which never stuck until I did the MSL reset. Fun, fun testing.
Any updates to your efforts?
Any way to root T237P on android 5.1.1? Without root i cant reset MSL which is necessary to stick the global mode.
Galaxy Tab 4 T237P Sprint
To set global mode:
Open stock calc app tap (+30012012732+ - in Factory Mode put ##3282# (equivalent to ##DATA#) - then tap SPC/MSL (you can read it by enabling DIAG and using z3x Samsung Pro) then menu More > HDR1x selection > Global > Yes
To Enable Diag:
Open stock calc app tap (+30012012732+ - in Factory Mode put ##3424# (equivalent to ##DIAG#)- then tap your SPC/MSL > tap Qualcomm USB setting > DM + MODEM + ADB
I tried to set Korean Mode to Indian and this enabled WCDMA / GSM Mode, APN settings and more
also can be sim unlocked using ssu.apk on Android 4.4.2
Will the Sprint Tab 4 work on Att GSM after your resolution i.e. setting the global mode and enabling Diag mode.
I bought this tab Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 sm t237p from eBay and was told it could be unlocked for gsm use in Africa. But despite all my efforts, I can't seem to get the tab to recognize the gsm networks. I live in Africa and from what I've read, it ought to work outside the US. I have the msl code and was able to put the tab in global mode but that didn't make any difference. I've rooted it and installed philz custom recovery. Tab runs on android 4.4.2. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction?
My father brought me a Samsung sm-t237p tab in new your he came to Trinidad western design and it do not work its still lock on sprint network. I have the imei number.how can I put it on the b mobile net work hete

BACK UP IMPORTANT INFO!!!!
Once you have your MSL this is where you input it at;
Galaxy tab 3 sprint
Data/activation problem, no sprint zone.
1. Open calculator and type (+30012012732+
2. On next screen type ##786# to open RTN menu
3. Call text support for 6 digit MSL number, 627627
4. Select reset, enter MSL number and click ok
5. Tab will reboot with sprint animation and go to hands free activation and finally fully activate.

I called Sprint customer service (always chose "other option"), and had to argue a little bit to get them to provide me the unlock code.
Once they did, I followed the instructions above, entered the 6 digit code they gave me, and now my tablet is SIM Unlocked.
Be warned - This did a factory reset and erased everything!
I just got the Sprint tablet, SM-T237p yesterday. I did the OTA upgrade to Android 5.1.1 last night.
This morning (actually, 5 minutes ago) is when I did the sim unlock.
Thankfully, the Sprint activation nag is now gone. (I got the tablet on Amazon due to price - I never intended to use it on cellular network, but the Sprint tablet with 16GB was cheaper than the wifi only version with 16GB)

So are you saying you have the T237P working on a GSM network?
search specs of this tab.
even if you could unlock it wont work because no gsm radio.
Cellular Networks: CDMA800 (BC0), CDMA1900 (BC1/BC14), CDMA800 (BC10)
Cellular Data Links: cdmaOne, CDMA2000 1xRTT, CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rel. 0, CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev A
I'm wondering if its in the modem hardware or the programming because IF it is in the programming maybe it is possible this guy got it working by somehow flashing att radio in odin (seems like it will fail or brick or destroy efs, nv, etc info) and then unlocking all bands. All of this seems pretty suspect and I am pretty sure this is a dead horse

idk about that.
I did try a StraightTalk SIM and a VZW SIM and with both of them the tablet gave error about invalid SIM card.
I just took this tablet out of service last month. It still works perfectly fine, but, dang, who wants to still be using Lollipop?
were i able to unlock this way ?
My tab 4 10.1 ( sm t 530nu matissewifiue andriod 5.0.2) is missing the 'unlock oem' button in the dev options. ..
I don't have access to a computer, and I'm about as green as they come...
I've tired multiple troubleshooting fixes, searched the Web high and low for an embarrassing amount of hours, and the best thing I've come across is loading twrp in recovery (since I can't load it myself) / forcing the bootloader thru a virtual andriod. I've Seen The option to do so in 'vphonegaga' but before I could do anything about it the app kept crashing ... so round two is xposed virtual andriod. ... only I can't find the same option in this app. So once again i, scouring the Internet to fund the solution. But so far this virtual andriod app is stable as can be, im asolutely thrilled that it can master the very choppy and crash happy waves of my crappy tablet, so much so that I sent the last of my bank balance (enough for a coffee atleast lol- it's not much but its better than not showing my appreciation at all) just to say thank you
....and if your still reading after all that then you may as well not let the time- and effort you've already spent- go to waist by not replying
Hello,
I have an old galaxy S5 I am trying to network unlock so I could get rid of it. I called Sprint to get it unlocked, and after a long time being placed on hold, I was told the phone is not unlockable. However, they provided me the unlock code. I tried putting on a different carrier sim expecting to be prompted to enter the code, but that didn't happen. I only got an invalid sim error.
What can I do?
EDIT: it is possible to unlock, see below.
It is not unlockable with some "unlock code", you have to hack the modem firmware partition and flash it to the phone.
There was an online unlock service for $35 at http : / / idoneapps . com and I've successfully unlocked 2 phones with their service but the website does not work anymore, also they do not reply to email or facebook.
If anyone knows the similar service - please share the link, I'm interested too.
I've managed to unlock the G860P for international SIM cards, check this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/confirmed-sim-unlocked-s5-sport-g860p.3128965/
