hi guys, i have a nexus 10 and before i upgraded to OTA lollipop i was able to reset and restore to factory through the OS and also through recovery by pressing POWER + VOLUME- so now i installed the OTA lollipop update, that updated my nexus 10 to 5.0.2 if i'm not mistaken and now that key combination doesn't work. so now my question is how do i enter or go into the stock recovery menu of my lollipop nexus 10. the tablet is completely stock and never has been rooted.
thanks in advanced
peace out
Device turned off. Press POWER+VOL UP+VOL DOWN until you see the android on a rocket. With your volume keys, scroll until you see "Reboot to recovery" or something like that. Press POWER. You'll now be booted to stock recovery.
Ok i forgot to mention that i can get into the recovery option but when i choose it only the robot with the "no command" comes out

There's an app called boot to recovery in Play Store(Market). Install it and press boot to recovery and it will bring you there...
Using the vol and power button sometime a little tricky..
Have that installed but nothing, just reboots as normal

I think your recovery was never been flashed somehow..
Instead you may try get the recovery installer.apk and use it to install recovery. Next use the boot to recovery app to boot your TF101 to CWM..

You mean't Android 4.3 and the recovery does this for security.
To access the recovery you have to press volume up and power until it unlocks the menu.

You have to keep pressing it and holding it until it unlocks.
Mine and the others unlocks fine so yours should work.

Wait, a red light?
Are you on low battery?
Maybe it is either a low battery command, access denied to to too many attempts or incorrect combination.
Try doing the same to the up and down keys followed by the power.

I also have the exact same issue. I never tried entering stock recovery before now and I tried to do it now, after updating OTA to 4.3 and rooting with wugfresh toolkit, 1.6.8. Regardless of how many times I have tried, it just reboots normally and can't access the stock recovery.

So you cannot access the recovery using the bootloader?, if so then it is probably corrupted.
I have the stock recovery image file here which you can flash via Fastboot.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4
I imagined the same. The toolkit itself, is giving you the option of reflashing the stock recovery, I think that I will try this at first. The weird thing is that the phone boots up normally, works as it should and is rooted successfully.
Actually there was no need to flash anything new. I finally made it to work. When in the "No Command" screen, you have to press the following:
1) Press only the power button first
2) While holding the power button, press the vol up button for a couple of seconds
3) Let go ONLY of the vol up button, while still pressing the power button.
Tested and working!
Just looked this up for a customer at my shop and works like a champ. Thank you

Excellent. Thanks for that. It was doing my head in.
The question is though will OTA updates still work? And the answer is yes. I flashed back to 4.2.2 and the 4.3 update came through OK. Happy days as I may well pass my N4 on soon and it needs to work 100% for a non tech wife.

How do I get this phone into Recovery mode so I can flash from TWRP?
I've been searching, but haven't found anything.

From original android Dev thread.
press and hold Power and Vol- until see the LG logo, after you see the logo release buttons for 1 second then press and hold Power and Vol- again until you see the factory reset screen, just push power to confirm reset, it will prompt you twice, just continue and this will boot you into recovery.

If your LG2 does not boot, how do you get to recovery (this is presuming TWRP has already been installed), since you cannot get to those apps?

Thanks for pointing me there, tdevaughn.
That's awesome, except on this G2 it's power & volume -, wait, then release volume - and press volume +. Othertimes it's as described here. Other times neither method works. Always takes 15 minutes. Got there once by starting up by pressing volume - and power.. Saw the LG logo then volume + and power.. I have a tripolar g2
I installed AOSB recently and decided to try out xdebbebs camera mod (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548974) and now it gets stuck at the boot screen. I can't get recovery to come up via power+vol down and if I try to access it via ADB it says unauthorized.
i can get into the hardware button control menu where it shows my imei and allows me to select answering calls by pressing both volume buttons and that.
i also am able to get into download mode. but i cant find the drivers and they wont auto install

Hold power+volume down
Let go of power button for a second when lg logo pops up then press again you should see something that says factory reset hit power a few times it should go into twrp or cwm hope it works

That's not the problem, it stops morons from accessing it and messing with it then calming that it deleted all their stuff which it's their fault not anyone elses.
@scoot0073 said the exact steps.
Download the latest twrp from twrp.me to your computer. Once you have that boot your phone to the bootloader - power and volume down. After that simply plug in your phone, open a cmd/terminal in the folder where the twrp-xxx file is. then run this.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-1-angler.img
If that version doesn't work, try 3.0.2
That's my suggestion! Hope it works.
PS: The last time I was on Android N I had to decrypt. Not sure if that is still required.
When you see the Android lying on its back, you are in recovery mode. From there, your need to hold power and tap volume up. That will give you the different recovery menu options like install from adb, wipe, etc.

Just.. Press and hold the power button
Then.. double click the volume button..
